My first impression based on the sound of her voice and what she says, was that it was the grandmother. She did sound confused but she was also sounding extremely scared and upset which I know can make you forget things you should know.
I just had to call the Police last night on some dangerous people and I was so nervous I forgot my address number and had to find a pc. of mail to remember.
They were arrested on warrant.

All I could make out was something like "I ki..." Why would someone say "I killed him" during a 911 call when they'd know it would be recorded? It makes no sense. Also:

Police confirmed on Tuesday that the caller is Braylen's grandmother.

The identity of the person who spoke the words has not been confirmed by TPD.

I don't understand why the mother didn't place the 911 call herself. Precious time was wasted in having information clarified and relayed to the dispatcher.
Maybe grandmother made the call because the mother was so upset. As far as what was said around 18 seconds in, it sounded like "I can't breath" to me. Honestly it's pretty darn difficult to hear though so I could be wrong.

I can hear it with headphones. Someone says," I kilt (killed) him ".

I also thought I heard "I can't breath" but there was such terrible distortion it was nearly impossible to tell.

I have a hunch this is going to be like those weird phenoms, where half the internet hears one thing and the other half, completely different.

My impression only: the person who made the 911 call speaks as if she lives in the apartment. But doesn’t even know the child’s last name? Huh?!

Also....Nevermind. I can’t even form a coherent thought about this whole situation right now.

If gram started call without checking with OtherPerson, other might be in background don't say I killed him

And if OtherPerson doesn't make call they aren't liable for giving false info to police, IF any statements are found to be untrue.

Sounds like kilt/killed. Whispering usually done on an inhaled held breath.
I can't breathe statement usually made with ragged, unable to inhale, strain ed breath.
But, JMO.

Much clearer.

Why would LE confirm the caller as Braylen's grandmother but not confirm who was feeding her the information in the background? It's pretty much a given that it's Braylen's mom so why not just confirm it too?

And the business about the whispered words. After all the pleas to stop spreading rumors LE releases the 911 call which sets off more drama. I'd love to know why. IMO LE usually acts with a purpose.

Absolutely should I.D. both voices.
Maybe they had to release if they got so many calls about whisper that it would look like they missed it/not doing their job? I'm sure they did hear it but if public is getting fired up its time to find out get this baby found any means necessary.

Wondering if anyone is still staying in the apartment and in how much detail was LE allowed to search so far?

But why release the 911 call in the first place? Most often msm outlets file for release under FOIA but apparently in this case LE decided to just release it.

I could be wrong but the media likes reporting about information they got released through FOIA and other means such as 911 calls, search warrants, arrest affidavits, getting gag orders reversed, etc.. I guess it goes to their credibility? But here it's clear that LE chose to release the call. MOO.

I would not be surprised if LE also put it out there to get people to stop calling and "reporting" it.

Idk, how long does FOIA take? Maybe LE thought it would make make a secret keeper break down and talk?
Maybe press is more scared of lawsuits lately? I don't know what kind of rep TPD has? Maybe they don't know what to do!
