But why release the 911 call in the first place? Most often msm outlets file for release under FOIA but apparently in this case LE decided to just release it.

I could be wrong but the media likes reporting about information they got released through FOIA and other means such as 911 calls, search warrants, arrest affidavits, getting gag orders reversed, etc.. I guess it goes to their credibility? But here it's clear that LE chose to release the call. MOO.
They must have a reason IMO but why? Just release the transcript then? Somethings up

I agree and I hope something IS up because this is insanity!

Police search Swan Creek near Bryne Rd for missing Toledo toddler

This creek is not far from the apartments is it possible that he could have gotten out of the house and fell into the creek? I wonder how deep that water is or how fast it moves? At this point though I feel like he would have surfaced somewhere none of this makes any sense.

Can they---or have they--- checked with the therapy center?
When was Braylen in last?
Has he missed scheduled appointments?
What was reason given for missing session?

My sense from the video of him riding the tricycle is that he is neither quick nor sure in his movements. It’s very difficult for me to believe he could (or would even try to) get out of an apartment, down at least 2 flight of stairs and disappear with no trace. I’ve been wrong before. Just my opinion.

This is sad I hoped they would of found him by now. Was reading some of the comments on the local news site ughh people are comparing this to babyElaina Steinfurth . I hope they find this lil guy alive just moo

The caller sounds more like a neighbor or acquaintance. She spelled Braylen's first name wrong, didn't know his last name, and didn't know what color shirt he had on. Also, there is only one bed? But she did say "we" only have one bed in the apartment, so maybe she does live there???

Could it be the grandmother? Maybe she has cognitive issues. MOO.
Elaina Steinfurth case was awful. I wanted to make the two hour drive and visit the baby killers! I just wanted 30 minutes alone with them...

Haven't fully caught up yet but I did want to mention... Unfortunately I've had to call 911 a few times between grandma's heart attacks and mom's strokes and I laugh about it now but there was a time I had no idea what my address was, what grandma's name is, etc. I swear it's like a switch in the brain that just cuts out as soon as I reach help. I'm normally very, very smooth and reactive during emergencies.

Re: 911 call
With ear buds I hear 'I kilt 'em'. This bothers me so much, makes me think he was accidentally hurt/killed. BUT maybe I heard that because I saw someone post it once before listening to the call. I'm gonna go have someone else listen that knows nothing about the case.

There's no other possibility except the window, yet no way he could have done it without her or grandma noticing. Only one of these can be true.
Maybe grandma was taking a nap?

I hope LE took that window screen to see whose fingerprints are on it. Not that they would tell us, but surely they did?

Another thing, in the article linked upthread the mother also said that "Braylen is non-verbal and has autism, but he does cry a lot, she said."

Frustrating...
Yes, the BBM above really bothers me. If he cries a lot and comes to you with a command of "come here", it makes me wonder why this little toddler cried.

Also, if he could cry, I'm sure if he survived the fall from second story then I feel sure he would have been crying.

I can't make it all fit as currently told. Maybe he was gone much earlier? Maybe mom and GM both "thought" he was in his room napping or something but he had actually already slipped out before GM arrived and mom was in the shower or something??? The story just doesn't work with GM in the living room and mom on the balcony at the moment he vanished.

Does GM live there? Or did she drop by for lunch or something? Does anyone else live there, for that matter? Or just mom and Braylen?
I too am very interested in just how many people were actually living there.

I went to Google maps and this makes a little more sense. The balcony is at the BACK of the building, not the front. The window is on the side of the building, which is not visible from the balcony. The front door of the building is also not visible from the balcony. It does look like there is a large HVAC unit just below the window, which would have caused serious injury if a falling body fell on it.

Thank you for this information. I'm trying to catch up and was asking about the floor plan. There's no way he survived a fall without serious injury.

Agree. I don’t believe he fell, I think he was “kilt.”

It seems like the phone receiver is being covered up most likely by the grandmother who was making the actual 911 call. “I killed him” in the background, then silence and the 911 operator repeatedly says the call is “blocked out” aka muffled. Hinky meter is in full effect. MOO

  • #237
I don't hear the whole I killed him. It sounded like I kilt. But it does seem like the person on the call was trying to cover it up by being silent or keeping the phone away. Why the cops allow this to be released, this would increase speculations and rumors as they call it. It isn't conclusive unless they cleaned it up?

^^This^^ Why not release the transcript? The original 911 tape released by LE is so difficult to hear, why even release it? I agree. Something is up.

I think we know how this will play out sadly

There are many ways children can go missing. Walks in the park where he starts running and you can’t keep up. You’re asleep on the couch and he sneaks out. Playing in the backyard and wanders off. We’ve all heard these stories, and most are not true. Saying, “Whelp, he was here and now he’s gone. He must have fallen out a 2-3 story window and then was kidnapped” just isn’t the normal narrative for this kind of thing. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not naive by any stretch. Sitting on my hands because I can’t think of how to say what I’m thinking. I guess I just wonder what friends/family think happened.
