A sip of coffee was an attacker's undoing, News 5's Juliette Vara reported.
A local woman asked a man downtown for directions back to her Springdale apartment, but he convinced her it would be easier to just show her how to get there.
"He brings her out here, and then he asks to use [her] bathroom," said Detective Joe Warren of the Springdale Police Department.
Once inside the apartment, the man beat his unsuspecting victim.
