Police in Chillicothe say Danielle Dunn has been missing since Friday.

According to the Chillicothe Police Department, the 43-year-old was last seen with a man on Glencroft Avenue, where officers later found her car.

Police say she was immediately entered into the missing persons’ database because she fit the criteria that included medical needs.

Chillicothe police notified Columbus police because Dunn and the man indicated they were going to Columbus.

Dunn is described as a white female, 5’5″ tall and about 140 pounds with green eyes and blond hair.

Police ask anyone with information on Dunn’s whereabouts to call 740-773-3103.

Danielle Dunn, 43, also known as Danni, is a Chillicothe mother and grandmother whose family said after three years clean, she relapsed back into drugs, specifically crack cocaine.

“It was Friday when she was supposed to have left her husband’s house to go into town and pick up my brother’s daughter, her granddaughter, to babysit,” her son said.

On Friday, Chillicothe Police said they found Dunn’s 1999 Honda CRV parked in some trees in an area behind Glencroft Avenue in Chillicothe.

He and his brothers have been searching for her and he talked to a man who told him he was with her on Saturday. “He took her to Columbus and she kind of ran off and that was around noon.” He said at one time they had lived in the Hilltop neighborhood. Dunn was last seen at Warren and Sullivant Avenues in the Hilltop.

Chillicothe police are hopeful a missing woman won't be grouped with six others who either vanished or were found dead in Ross County over the past few years.

Family and friends think she's in the Hilltop community of west Columbus where a friend, David Sparks, said he took her Saturday.

"She walked toward town, and it was the last time I saw her," Sparks said Wednesday evening.

Chillicothe police say they've questioned sparks about what he knew about Dunn.

Three Chillicothe detectives are now working with Columbus police and focusing efforts in the Hilltop near Sullivant and Warren Avenues where loved ones say Dunn once lived.

Her husband had a theory on why she vanished.

"Easy access to drugs, probably. Maybe she knows someone up there," said Danielle's husband, Lester Dunn.

Maybe I've been round here too long, but something is fishy. I think both her husband and the friend sound rather underwhelmed. I wonder if they know eachother? Why would the friend watch her run/walk off and just shrug his shoulders (that's how his comments read)? And her husband just seems to shrug his shoulders too with the 'probably easy drugs' comment. No local tips is definitely concerning too, she would stand out a bit in Hilltop - pretty lady by herself, on foot. My hinky meter is going off...
