Last week, as divers searched the Maumee River, she told me she thought someone else in the Federal Street house sold Elaina for drug money.

I am just floored by this comment.

The van in the picture is not a GMC Safari van. I had an Astro van for years (the Chevy version), and the Safari was a larger, taller, and very boxy looking van.

An arrest trumps being named a POI I would think.

Wasn't sure if the arrest is on a separate charge unrelated to Elaina's disappearance. I wasn't sure if any charge against Angela was good enough or if it had to be related to THIS case definitifely, IYKWIM

I'm gonna wait for mod confirmation I guess, or a copy of the actual charges filed.

erry Steinfurth, Sr., is wearing a white T-shirt with Elaina's picture on it. Says, "Bring Elaina home."

Steinfurth crying as she walks in. Family quiet.

Bond for Steinfurth set at $250,000. Her stepdad says he was told baby was dropped. He believes Elaina is dead.

"My daughter made a huge mistake and she's got to pay the consequences." - Angela's stepfather"

From the above twitter: https://twitter.com/taylordungjen

His daughter made a mistake and has to pay the consequences? Seriously? What about his granddaughter? Does he not give a damn that his precious grand baby has been laying injured or dead for 11 days now? His daughter chose that man and chose that home to take her babies to! Elaina and her sister had no choice in that matter but Elaina paid the biggest price of all. His comments make me see red!!

I hope they bill her and SK's entire family for everything that has ensued since filing the false kidnapping report. (not to mention charging them with obstruction of justice, filing a false report, perjury, and so on.)

There is no excuse NONE ZERO for Angela's actions or NON actions. But I will say this , if what she is saying is true ( and I know it may not be but at this point shes' spilling the beans, why keep lying) and Sk injured the baby and SK's family threatened her life if she got medical care for her baby, then I want them equally or MORE so charged . SK will be charged with the injury but the parents need to be charged with .... threatening ? I don't even know what charge it is. We'll see how it plays out and I'm not sure I believe but if other charges come, especially against Sk's parents for any type of preventing Angela from helping her baby , then I hope they all sit happily in the pen for life.
Still though, how could she not say a word or a look or an indication to TJ when he was there in front of her? Fear for her life ,maybe the life of the 4 yr old as well? Again, I'm not excusing or explaining away her involvement. What a mess. Young mothers take note.. you are responsible for your children . You are responsible for what people you put in their environment.

With all that has developed... :stormingmad:

Just a little background on why I was so drawn to this case with precious missing Elaina; I have a sister with 'limited capacity' who is easily manipulated and often drawn to abusive, drug-addicted, controlling men. She was often subjecting her children to that lifestyle and all that went with it.:banghead: I am now (and have been for many years) raising her children - thus the name of "Aunt B". My sister, to this day, doesn't realize 'why' I have her children and doesn't feel like she's done anything wrong; she doesn't have the mental capacity to understand the danger she subjected them to.

MOO: I'm inclined to believe that what Angela (who Ferretmommy previously stated up-thread, has the educational level of an 8th grader) has said is true. It doesn't mean she's any less guilty for subjecting her babies to danger; just that she possibly didn't comprehend it. Again, in my opinion, the holes in this story are starting to be filled in. IF what Angela said is true: SK hurts Elaina and her Dad is about to find out. Panic sets in. SK & his mother threaten Angela and she refuses to send the baby. Elaina's dad goes and gets his dad and returns to get Elaina. ALL three adults (is this correct?) are in the house at one point and SK's mother is telling Angela to give the baby to SK....she's screaming she'll never see her again. He leaves out the back way with the baby (on foot or possibly in a maroon van????) and she doesn't know where he went...BUT, SK and his mother could've convinced her that they were going to take Elaina some place where she could get medical attention for her or she could be looked after. In Angela's mind, she could've believed all this time (especially if the other players in this were telling her) that the baby was fine. It's high time LE pick up SK and his mother (who has been doing a lot of little finger-pointing and manipulating - again, IMOO) in for some really intense interrogation :jail:.

I'm wondering if there's a way to tell if the van was registered to the Federal Street residence without sleuthing someone not mentioned as a POI?

I too am praying for a miracle...:please:

This is pretty much the scenario I have had playing in my mind!

OK, so if arrest trumps "Person of Interest" then this MSM article pretty clearly means that we can now sleuth her freely, but they don't say yet that her statements about Steven have been commented on by LE in such a way as to make him fair game yet. Why so quiet about him? Where is he??

https://www.toledoblade.com/Police-...50-000-bond-for-child-endangering-charge.html

"Angela Steinfurth, 26, is charged with one count of child endangering and was ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $250,000.

She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 20."

snipped

"In court documents, Mrs. Steinfurth is accused of knowing that her daughter, Elaina Steinfurth, was injured and not taking her for medical treatment. The girl was reported missing from a house in the 700 block of Federal Street on June 2. The court documents do not say what the girl's injuries were."

I should add at this point that was MOO and not policy. Too late?

Here's the search I use on Twitter for news of Elaina. It will give you everything from Taylor, everything from Fred, and more. Just keep it open in a separate window, and when the message like "3 New Tweets" appears at the top, just click right on the message, and the new tweets will appear:

https://twitter.com/search/realtime...ing toddler" OR (missing AND toledo)&src=typd

Here's what will show in your Twitter search box, and you can change it as the case changes to search for different things:

from:fredlefebvre OR from:taylordungjen OR "baby elaina" OR Steinfurth OR "missing toddler" OR (missing AND toledo)
