Solitary- thank you so much! I am SO relieved if it isn't Elaina's! Especially after the rumor with the blanket came out sigh

  • #523
Premature question- can Angela be charged with murder without finding Elaina?

  • #524
I didn't realize how big the river was and that there were so many bridges.
Is there anywhere else closer to home on land anyone thinks she might be?

I keep thinking about everything in between RS's ( Frank lives near RS where video of AS and baby Elaina was taken) and JK's house. What about the sewers and landfills? All abandoned buildings in between those two places? These are some places I keep thinking of.

Praying baby Elaina is found soon.

It was probably not related to baby Elaina. Could be a homeless persons blanket, or really anyones blanket. I just can't believe in three weeks baby Elaina is still out there somewhere.

Yes they can bring charges without finding her, and they may have to, as babies are very difficult to find, they are so tiny. But in this particular case I believe they would be able to prove she is not alive. And I feel certain she is not. This group of people in not likely to have someone who would hide her for them and I really do not believe they had the wits or opportunity to try to sell her or give her away. But I hope she is found.

NG will be *definitely covering Baby Elaina on MONDAY, TUES, WED and THURSDAY.

Tomorrow - Dr Drew -- my guess would be that JVM will have something at least tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear this. I was so afraid that when George Zimmerman's trial gets underway (opening statements on Monday), that everyone on HLN will forget about baby Elaina.

And I hope they do charge her with murder tomorrow along with SK. And those covering for them should be charged with something too.

As promised, here's your short tour of the Maumee River http://youtu.be/x4CpOoU79t0

Excellent, thank you for your time to put this video together to show us the river and downtown area.

When you were referencing the "east' side of the river, would that also be what is referenced as East Toledo, where Elaina Steinfurth went missing originally?

The police said SK is a red herring so if I think about that how about Angela harmed her and everything after being in the video on Saturday but before going to SK's. anyone have a map from porch to her fathers house or JK'S house?

I do my best to live by the rule:
I am not a psychiatrist nor do I have a license to use the DSM-V for anything other than my own amusement.

It is really easy for us to sit around and say AS is whatever the diagnosis du jour is. Keep in mind that it can also be bi polar, dissociative, addiction, depression, anxiety, ptsd, any number of AXIS II criteria, etc etc etc.

One gets into a very dangerous game with all of this. . . not knowing background, belief system, experiences, psychological make up, psychic patterning, etc...

On the other hand - if you would like to diagnose me - have at it.

There's been a great deal of speculation about AS's poor cognitive abilities without the administration of an IQ test, her possible drug addiction without the administration of a drug test/assessment, etc. Why is it "dangerous" to speculate about a mental illness as possibly being the cause of the very unnatural maternal behavior of abusing or failing to protect your child from abuse and disposing of her body (though I pray to God those allegations aren't true!)?

I'm a licensed attorney and yet I don't find it "dangerous" when unlicensed attorneys or non-attorneys apply the facts of a case to the law or when they evaluate the evidence presented, or comment on trends in certain kinds of cases, etc. in fact, I encourage it. It isn't brain surgery. It doesn't require a JD. It's a little bit of logic and reasoning but mostly just common sense.

Rather than label AS as some kind of bad person, a gutter-rat, who is a stupid junkie, I prefer to dig a bit deeper. I think she was severely traumatized at some point in her life. It explains how she can be a loving, nurturing mother on June 1st and an abusive or neglectful one on the 2nd. There's a great deal of hope in that armchair diagnosis. Trauma can be healed. Sadly, one of the best ways for AS to have healed her own childhood wounds was to love and protect her children the way she deserved to be loved and protected as a child.

*I'm still holding out hope that sweet Baby Elaina may be found alive.

The police only said that AS claiming SK threatened her was a red herring. And SK picked AS and the children up that Saturday evening/night. I did think about if AS did something to baby Elaina before getting to SK's, but with such a tight timeline as we know it so far, and everything else known, to me it keeps leading back to JK's house. And even if SK didn't do anything to baby Elaina, he helped AS put her somewhere. Both are equally guilty and I hope they are both charged, along with those covering for the guilty ones.

Praying baby Elaina is found soon.

The house with the "porch video" is suppose to be near Raymer Elementary school, which is just south of where her father lives, (B) on map.

(A) on the map is the King family house.

Also, my understanding from listening to the police talking on Nancy Grace show was that the "red herring" comment was referencing the comment Angela made, "if she tells then she's next," and not that Steven was the red herring.

It is possible that the baby was injured before SK picked them up. It seems like it has been reported that she slept a lot that day. At 18 months, they usually only have one nap a day.

If she has a slow bleed head injury, it could take hours, days, for it to do severe damage. I just find it suspicious, that with all those people in the house, nobody noticed an 18 month old running around before she was put down for that final nap before she disappeared.

And as it has been said previously, would a 4 year old know the difference between an unconscious baby, and a sleeping baby.

The whole story stinks! I think the only ones I believe are telling the truth, are her sister, and father, as well as his father.

BBM

The bolded portions are exactly like the baby Lisa Irwin case. The mom said guests were over but no one else saw the baby because she was ill and sleeping in her room all day and night. And the only 'witness' was the 4 yr old neighbor girl who supposedly saw her alive and well in her crib.

I don't buy it for a second. Any one who has ever had an 18 month old knows you cannot keep them quietly wrangled in one small room all day, especially if other kids and pets are running around in other rooms. A toddler will do anything to get to the 'fun' and try and play and run around.

Sadly, I think she was 'gone' before TJ even arrived that afternoon.

I will believe it when I see it.
I can't even tell you how many times Nancy was *definitely* going to cover something...
Except that something else bumped it.
If she REALLY covers Baby Elaina all week that is wonderful. But I will be surprised. :twocents:

My question - and I think everyone is in bed right now - is whether there are any more OFFICIAL searches going on or is just the personal search teams, friend, family, volunteers going out? It would be very telling to me coupled with that the postponed her hearing. Maybe I'm just reading into it but I do hope there is a break in the next day or so. This needs to end and this baby needs to either be with the family members that love her, or needs to have peace.
