Just thinking about the 4 yr old and I wonder if it is worth giving her some pencils and some paper...Not pressuring her into drawing anything about what happened, but just getting her to draw. Chances are if she witnessed something it will be at the forefront of her mind and she will draw about it..That will open up an avenue for a few sensitive, appropriate questions. It is more for her than anything as at 4 yrs old, kids have a difficult time expressing how they are feeling. I am suggesting this, as the same thing was suggested to us after a traumatic situation in our family that my 4 yr old unfortunately had to deal with.

But she WAS reported missing right away, at least immediately after AS said she was gone. The polics were there within several minutes. I don't understand why a thorough search of the house wasn't done until 2 days later, then the SK family was allowed back in the house right after. IMO, that hiuse should be considered a crime scene, and NO ONE should have been allowed back in!

I sure hope that baby isn't buried under some trash in that house! It has happened with adults!

His patience is definitely wearing thin, little Kylee is starting to become difficult (throwing tantrums) and everyone is ready to bark if someone looks at us crosswise. It's becoming harder & harder to keep my composure with people hugging me to give comfort, it's becoming a real struggle to keep the tears back.

Oh honey! You have all our love, but I can understand you and fams wanting to scream. Hugs to you.

This seems to happen in too many cases. We have had at least a few cases (Dylan Redwine, Lisa Irwin) where the house was not thoroughly searched for a week or longer. Considering how many children come to harm at home, this is ridiculous. And how many of the currently "missing" children may well have been harmed by relatives.

The house that Juliette was in was not searched for FIVE days.
Even worse... after her murder, her twin sister was also left in their custody for FIVE DAYS. :banghead:
My first thought in this case was just to be grateful K wasn't left there. :twocents:

How will that family get $100k bail together?

It's usually 10% to post bail....Still not sure how they will accomplish that though, unless someone is using their real property as collateral...

I think I read somewhere that the judge said no to the 10% so she has to have the full $100,000. Praying no one gets her out even though she does seem to be getting quite comfortable there and the last thing I want for her is to be comfortable.

MOO

RS doesn't have enough property to put up as collateral, his house is valued at $36,500 on the auditors website. The judge ordered the full amount for bail, no 10%. <modsnip>

Ferretmommy, do you believe the gas station attendant's sighting of Sunday morning ?

Re: "Frank"...
If he puts together the bail $ for AS, I hope he is doing it because he believes he can glean the truth from AS, if she's out on bail, and then he can provide that info to LE. Wishful thinking.

"Frank" is not sleuthable folks.

I just noticed there's a company advertising on google that has an address on Valleywood in Toledo, and it says they do graphics and videos and stuff.

I wonder if they'd have surveillance cameras since that's the kind of work they do? Maybe it would be another source to try to see her movements on Friday and Saturday?

Didn't know if these had been posted yet...

Baby Elaina’s mom: Bond set at $100K
The mother of missing 18-month-old Elaina Steinfurth was ordered to remain behind bars on a $100,000 bond Wednesday, despite her attorney’s request for supervision instead of jail.
A Lucas County grand jury indicted Angela Steinfurth Monday on a charge of obstructing justice.

Bond for missing toddler's mother reduced to $100K
It's been 24 days since missing toddler Elaina Steinfurth was last seen at an East Toledo home.
Her mother remains in jail after allegedly lying to investigators. She faced a judge Wednesday.
Angela Steinfurth initially told police she put Elaina down for a nap. When she went to wake the 18-month-old, she was gone.

I am extremely skeptical that Frank got paid $100k from selling one video to HLN. It just seems like way too high an amount to me.

ETA: I am not trying to sleuth Frank...more like trying to sleuth the media...

Myself, I think she MAY have seen them, but I think she has gotten her days confused. We found out the reason the surveillance camera was not working was someone had disconnected some wires to it. Coincidence? You decide!

not to be snarky, but is this place a connection for drug deals? illegal gatherings? Why would someone deliberately goof around with surveillance cameras and who would have knowledge and time to do it???? hmmmmmmmm Owner should be furious! IMO another thing for LE to look into!!!

So basically the sighting is unverified, non credible and should not be considered until LE says it's considered ! mooo

Yep. All LE has is her word....

Didn't someone say she used a card from welfare at the store? If so, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes for LE to obtain a record of the transaction

I have heard people saying about cameras at intersections being in the area. Does anyone know if there are? Depending on the quality of the system and the angle they are placed I know they can get pretty good shots of the driver and anyone in the front passenger seat. They sometimes are placed to get shots oh the back also.

Maybe LE is using him to make it look like he is posting bail, when in fact he is not -- they are (or not, not sure if they would really have to). Then she gets out and can be observed without it looking like LE is involved in that.
