He is SK's cousin. JK had mentioned SK running out the back door along with her nephew.

Cristy Edmonds is not SK's cousin but actually Mike's wife, hence his last name.

I had seen some comments from ME and CE on FB and news articles over the past 3 months. He seems very defensive and she seems to be in CYA mode. I am on the fence if she knows anything but I thought I had read that she lives in that house also (I could be wrong here) .....JMHO

CE is the sister of the nephew who ran out the door with SK. Therefore, she is also a cousin. She is the person SK was staying with after leaving JK's house "because of threats".
There are 2 Mike's - a cousin and a cousin's husband. Remember the post about K saying "Mike 1"? - I would think that would be the cousin (he was in the family first) and Mike 2 would be the husband of CE. IMO

krig101,I have wondered why AS would want to move to Florida with baby Elaina, but not K.? Why has AS made this strange distintion between baby Elaina and K.? What does this mean to AS, and how did this come to murder? I am not expressing my thoughts and questions regarding this as well as I would like to. Why was AS hellbent on making sure TJ would never see baby Elaina again? AS seems to be indifferent at best when it comes to K. who is old enough to talk, but not so with baby Elaina. This is very curious, and I hope we get answers to why this is, as I think whatever the reasons are, they are important as to what happened in that house to baby Elaina. AS was abusive to both baby Elaina and K., but she appears to have targeted her rage on baby Elaina who couldn't at her age talk as K. can. .... I wish I could articulate what I'm trying to figure out better, but this is something I have noticed about AS.

OT- krig101, thank you for the well wishes! ( Cervical discs are in bad shape, I'm having a cervical epidural Tues.am. I hope it helps some.)

ETA: I wonder if AS really planned on moving to Florida, or was that just talk?

Yes, he wants the ones with the footprints on them.

My son is only 3 months older then Elaina and they didn't put footprints or hand prints on the birth certificate. They put them in his baby book. Maybe its different state to state but my npiece in Nevada just turned 2 and hers didn't have prints on the original either

Maybe Mike is actually not as involved as it might appear and they are keeping him handy and on the outside because he's going to provide witness for the state? Food for thought. If he had nothing to do with the actual act but was an accessory after the fact or threatened to cooperate or told something in confidence, he may have told LE that on day one. They may have said you'll testify to avoid being charged and he agreed.

If that is the case, why haven't LE pressed more charges against AS/SK? If this Mike talked, I think LE would have more than they do...

I know for a fact that many times LE KNOWS what happened, they need the PROOF!! Sad, but true

Way back when everyone was dropping his name in similar manner I felt terrible because they said on one of the HLN nighttime shows that I transcribed, that this particular cousin Mike is a DIFFERENT Mike than that one, and in fact is brother (or husband?) to the cousin that SK was staying with for awhile there.

This Mike that keeps getting mentioned as above has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with this case, IIRC.

I recall early on when M1 was 1st mentioned, I done some "digging" & found a M1 in someones profile pics, he was the younger M, & his pic was actually labelled Mike 1.. I saved pic, & what not but didnt post anything about this person because of tos..not that all along I didnt wonder what happened with this person & why there was no more talk of him being there anymore- it did boggle my mind. I also remember something else that shocked me that day but Id have to look up the obit to be certain on this one. I dont believe were allowed to post about these two m1 & m2 so Ive been baffled & quiet. FM Ive been reading your posts & seen what you said happened with JR, & my heart broke for your family. I also agree with others who said people lash out on those who are "safe" to them. This is a crazy time, things will work out for all of you, you have been so strong for Elaina. Not a day goes by I dont think of all of you & want this to be resolved for you. Hang in there my friend. :heartbeat:

Weis goes on to say that "One individual has taken a polygraph, and I can't disclose what the results are..." Pressured further by NG, Weis says "You can ask, but I won't tell you."

NG then asks her reporter, Clark Goldband what the local press is reporting.

CG responds that "... both the mom and the ex-boyfriend have allegedly said they`ve both taken polygraphs and have both passed polygraphs."

On this site, the information is that the Steinfurths, AS, and SK had been questioned by LE. As well, it says that AS claims to have passed a polygraph test, but LE will not confirm.

From what I understand, LE will not confirm such things while a case is active.

It's so hard to look at these interviews again, even months after they were done. When I read the quote that AS told a relative just days after the disappearance that she "didn't have enough time" with Elaina, it shocked me all over again.

My thoughts are with you, Ferretmommy, and your family as you try to find your way through this maze of lies to the truth about Elaina.

IMHO the polys tell LE what they need to know but they have to now find a way to prove it. I do not get how AS and SK can go through each day with a dirty conscience.

I agree. These tests are investigative tools that can be used to refine an inquiry.

People can just go on the internet and get tips on how to fool the lie detector, (91,700 articles when I googled) so it's obvious that the results can in no way be considered hard evidence. However, the investigative team would be able to use not just the results but also the behaviours and actions before and after the tests as sources of information.
