Let's say that a garage is located at 4240 State St; but sits on the corner or 4240 State and 3609 Main St...the address could be either street. Just the way it works in small communities. I have no words. I can't stop thinking about TJ and Ferretmommy and Terry Sr and oh god little K.... and the horror of that hoarding house being what it was.... and that woman who was the head of that house.... oh I have no words, at least none that I'm allowed to say here.

I am sick and beside myself and don't know what to say or do, my heart goes out to the family and loved ones and searchers and those who have been here and there every single day for Elaina....

"Investigators on Friday said a box removed from the rafters of a garage in Toledo contain the human remains of a young person.

Toledo Police Chief Derrick Diggs says the box was found Thursday at the house where 19-month-old Elaina Steinfurth was last seen three months ago. He says the property belongs to the boyfriend of the little girl's mother."

I just hope they will be able to determine a cause of death. I'm wondering if she could have drowned? But then again if she had that would have been an accident and why not report it? I may be wrong but SK throwing up seems to indicate he had just seen a dead baby. Just my opinion

which certainly makes a lot more sense since Ferretmommy told us SK was found on Prentice. It's crazy here in Toledo, not one person tells the same story and that includes misinformation given out by police! Rumors are running rampant and you cannot believe a word on FB. News stations are giving completely conflicting stories obviously also and they were at the news conference.
It also seems to me that when this first happened, SK's mom said that only SK ran out back door..not both of them. Can anyone verify that?

Toledo is a pretty big town set up a lot like Detroit, the homes are very close together and many have alleyways, and sometimes the garage is on the other side of the alley. I lived near Detroit at one time and my home was set up a similar way. Can be very confusing. Sometimes it is even hard to figure out who owns what driveway!

you do make sense and I get what you're saying. I stood in the alley behind their garage. Facing East, there is a small window on the right side and you could see junk piled in there and around garage, there was no back door to garage (facing alley) in Toledo it is USUALLY whichever way the front door faces is the address. According to county website, the garage is included at 704 Federal and as you can also see, they won't be living there much longer I suspect since they are virtually YEARS behind on their property taxes.

In the presser I heard then give the Federal address, I didn't hear them say Prentice.

I'm not sure it matters, though, as they've said multiple times it was the King property.

when I said there was no backdoor, I meant no standard door going into garage from back. The garage door was there of course because that's how people get into their garages, from the alley. But if I recall right, the garage door looked broken or unused but I can't swear to that.

I live in rural area with long driveway and just so happens that a torn down garage is sitting on the side road across the drive and everyone (even UPS) gets the wrong address for our house. Go figure...

Before Thursday’s search, the Federal Street home had been searched by Toledo police officers and federal agents numerous times, at least once with cadaver dogs, since the girl was reported missing.During one search in June, a cadaver dog alerted to the garage, but it’s not clear if that part of the property was searched.


The King family said the detached garage, behind the two-story home, is rarely used. Above where cars would be parked is a small loft used for storing Christmas decorations.

IMO it is vital that everyone tells the same story of where box was found particularly since SK was found on Prentice! TPD is going to have a helluva time explaining how they missed it on SK's property if that is true.

All I really care about right now is that they found human remains of a baby, I am sure they know where they found her This is just a really messed up case. How sad

I don't believe her. I also don't think he would have thrown up if it was just looking. And bottom line, her remains got into that garage somehow and imo it got in there while TJ was getting his dad. I don't believe AS climbed into the loft to put her there. I am not even sure AS killed her, always seemed more likely to be SK and she ratted him out early just no one believed her.
