It is Angela's sister that is on Dr. Phil with T.J.

They say that KS cries for Elaina...She knows that her sister died, but not how. Angela's sister says that her father (Angela's) is mad at her because she won't go see her in prison and take her 5 year old son. He doesn't think she did anything to hurt Elaina...just kept quiet about where she was. yeah, sure.... Sister (sorry I never did hear her name) doesn't want to see her. Dr. Phil says that she needs to let go of her hate, but does not need to go see her and "make nice" and definitely not take her son...That part of show is over now...very short.

Hugs Ferretmommy and Cherubcollector.
Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and your family.
I hope you and KS are able to enjoy some time together just taking in the beauty of spring. (KS is lucky to have such strong women around her as she works through what has happened.)

My daughters and I lit a luminaria for #ForeverAngel Elaina on this beautiful California night.

In addition, we lit candles for the many (seemingly countless) victims they see their Mommy sleuth (not alone, of course!)

Websleuths is such a big part of my life, and it has woven itself into the fabric of my home life. It has taught many lessons about child safety, and about the immeasurable highs and lows of what humanity can do to itself.

So, tonight, Ferretmommy & CherubCollector, you are front and center in our prayers. We pray for your entire family, especially K & TJ, that you find yourselves basking in the glow of His love & healing, here on this earth.

I am, once again, so proud & grateful, to be a part of such a dedicated group of :sleuth: :detective: WSers who care about each other! FM, I hope your health continues to improve.

There's a lot of love out here for you, and there always will be.

Murdered Toledo toddler remembered

Lucas County Children Services is remembering a Toledo toddler who was murdered. Baby Elaina Steinfurth's disappearance made national headlines. She was later found dead in a box.

"We lost her in the most shocking possible way. The tragedy captivated our entire community and still today we struggle," the director of Lucas County Children Services Dean Sparks.

It was an emotional day for baby Elaina Steinfurths family as lucas county children services remembered a toddler who was murdered. The 18 month old was honored at the 15th annual child memorial.

Thank you for the update on Baby Elaina's memorial, Ima! :heartluv:

I send my prayers, support, and love to FerretMommy, CherubCollector, to be shared with KS, TJ, Terry Sr.. and every other family member who is loving and missing such a big part of.... themselves. :tears:

Tonight, my daughters and I will light a luminaria for Elaina. It rained last night, and if it does again, we will adjust. I didn't know the memorial was today until Ima posted it.

Shining a light in her honor is the least we can do for your precious Forever Angel!

What a horror show this family has been through this year. I thought the memorial might mark the one year date and went to check and it was actually June that Elaina went ' missing'. So in less than one year this family has been battered and whipped like no one should be. If you think you have had a rough year, remember the Steinfurths!
Hang in there FM and CC and family ! :)

My God your family has grit, FM and CC!

Once again, Ginger Smith and TJ Sr amaze me with their strength, their commitment to what is right, and their love for family. Their comments turned the greater community's attention from the rawness of your family's personal pain and focused it instead on the children who continue to need protection and love. They are remarkable representatives for your family.

Sending thoughts of hope and peace to both of you, to KS, TJ, and all your family.

Hi FM and CC.
This afternoon when I was browsing through some of my books, I came across a quote that so reminded me of you and your family.

"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens."

Khalil Gibran

I hope you are doing well, and that whenever you come by, you know we still care about you.

Many, many air hugs coming your way from Lotus Land.

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mothers, stepmothers, mothers-in-law, aunts and grandmothers out there. (And also to everyone who has one of the above.)

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." -- Marcel Proust

"What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies." -- Rudy Giuliani

Could be because I'm using Safari, or because my mac doesn't recognize it because of some software glitch.

Thanks Schmae.

I would be curious to know if he will still have a relationship with this woman or if she is done. I hope he can get some help because I think anybody who has been through such trauma, could benefit from coping skills. Wouldn't there be frustration, anger, grief, and any other emotion in his head? I wish the judge had made that mandatory. Most mental health centers have free grief sessions, and there even ones in my town for the loss of a child. Violence is never the answer.

It's surprising though how many people refuse to participate in grief counselling sessions. Possibly because doing so might be seen by others as a sign of "weakness", or an inability to cope with reality. Or they think they're doing just fine, not being aware of the pain they're causing those around them.

Since anger is one of the stages of grief in the Kübler-Ross model, you'd think that not only would grief counselling be a mandatory part of sentencing, but so would anger management classes. Again, it's easy for me to say when I'm so removed from the situation, while being very difficult for those within.

My hopes the FM, CC, TJsr and their family are getting lots of love and support.
