GUILTY OH - Emilliano Terry, 3, Cleveland, 25 November 2012

"Children and Family Services received a number of complaints about Terry’s parenting, but according to Rideout, “The concerns have not been significant enough for us to ever ask the juvenile court to remove those children. We’ve never been able to substantiate physical abuse of her children.”
But the grandmother of Terry’s five-year-old son told Fox 8 that she complained to Children’s Services about a broken arm suffered in July 2011 by Terry’s three-year-old son, Emilliano, who was found dead on Monday night after being placed in a dumpster near the family’s apartment on Buckeye Road."

BBM. I guess that answers my question earlier about the Yahoo Answers link--her question about the "fractured shoulder" and being denied by insurance.

Is she saying the 3 year old broke the 5 year old's arm?

No. It says she complained about a broken arm suffered by the 3-year-old.

These poor kids. Sadly, God only knows how many more are out there crying out for help and only get the attention when they're dead.

So how does he know that his son was malnourished? The only one to blame here is whoever did this to this precious child but these comments really irk me. If he knew his child was malnourished or mistreated why didn't he do something? Too late now. Sad.

He said he heard it from mutual friends that she neglected him. Not sure if this was before or after the fact. All we do know is that Grandma on dad's side tried to get custody of E. Either way, the end result is very sad :(

As hard as this is on the rest of the family, it's the 5 year old I feel sorriest for. He not only seems to have seen his mother dispose of his little brother's body, but he'll probably grow up feeling guilty about helping to get her arrested for the death. That's a lot for a little mistreated boy to deal with.

A 3 year old. THREE short years in this world. There is nothing this sweet baby could have done to have been beaten. A child is not a "problem" and this is not how you solve your problems. So many other ways to get help if you truly love your own sweet, innocent child.

I will never, ever understand what goes through the minds of many people in this world. & As someone who wants to be a mother so badly, I will truly never get over or understand what some people do to their own children.

end rant. :banghead:

^^this. I just can't get over it. geez... She may have only taken one child's life literally, but she definitely took a toll on the other children's lives as well.

"An investigator with the Cleveland Police Department tells Fox 8 that the five-year-old kept pointing at a dumpster near his home, and that’s what led investigators to the landfill where Emilliano’s body was found."

Didn't they find this precious little boy the same day his mother reported him missing? It sounds like he may have been dead for longer than that short amount of time. How often is the dumpster emptied?
If he had been there for a couple of days, aren't we lucky that the truck was impounded the same day she reported him missing.

I wish that this little boy had been given up for adoption at birth. He would have been the lucky one then.

Emilliano deserved a life.

BBM

I am going to have to search to find it...but I know I read something today that said perhaps he had not been seen by anyone since the 21st or 22nd...the 21st was the day she made the comment in the adoption article and the 22nd, I believe was when trash went out before this past monday, of course....I think we may find he was missing days before she reported him missing. I will go look for where I saw that.

Oh sweet baby boy, just saw he was beaten to death....why???????????? People please quite killing precious children...makes me physically ill!

Oh God, no!! That poor child. I pray he is young enough to forget the things he saw and heard.

We asked this confused father, "You would have taken him?"

"Without hesitation yes, yes," stated Datson

This is possibly one of the most tragic parts of this case...his father and his mother would have taken him in. However, before I nominate him to Sainthood, I do have to ask did he try hard enough to find him when he was alive? He had to know he was not in a safe environment esp after reading what he saw when he visited him a year ago...yes she lied and told him she had moved to South Carolina but how hard did he look?

OMGosh. Unspeakable emotions for the five year old to experience. ITA vasportsmom.
I have major concerns for his future.

I want to know the last time someone else saw little E.

While they were doing that 19 Action News spoke with 19-year-old Shawn Dotson, Emilliano Terry's father. The last time he was able to see his son was about a year ago.
"I popped up at her house unannounced and she wasn't going to let me in but she did. I asked to see him. I had to carry him out of the crib. He didn't saying anything. He looked very dry, skinny and weak," a quiet Shawn Dotson told 19 Action News Reporter Dan DeRoos.

OMG, that really just goes beyond anything I had anticipated. That poor baby. There's no excuse for beating a baby to death.

I have to stay away from this thread....it is just making me more and more angry.....:furious: I hope that woman rots in hell for eternity. Enough said. I have to stay away from this one. My heart breaks for that poor baby boy :rose: :moo:

That is one smart kid. In some other cases siblings that young were no help to the investigation, but not this one.

That is amazing.....what a wonderful little kid to help find his baby brother. How dare that monster do that in front of this child!?! :furious: :banghead:

I hope the 5 year old gets therapy. I can only imagine the toll this will take on him mentally.
