SALEM — City police are continuing to search for a Salem man who’s been missing and hasn’t been seen since March 25, recently sharing a poster on social media and asking for the public’s help.
The missing man has been identified as Gary Warner, 67, who resides on South Union Avenue. He’s described as 6 feet tall, weighing 146 pounds, having brown hair and brown eyes.
Police have had reports from family and friends looking for him.
“The family is concerned and we’re concerned and we’re trying to locate him,” Salem Police Chief J.T. Panezott said.
The department has been working on the case for a month with the family. A dog that had been in the house was taken by the Columbiana County Humane Society to be cared for, in cooperation with police and the city humane officer. Warner’s vehicles remained at the residence.
“It’s not against the law for an adult to go missing, but this is out of character for him according to family members,” Panezott said.
Anyone with information on Warner’s whereabouts should call police at 330-337-7811.
