Hi everyone, thank you for the warm welcome! Just a general reply to some questions. The locals are all over the place. Every.single.theory. is out there. A lot of it is "I heard..." or "I saw Harley's YT videos it's obvious _____" extremely sloppy comment threads. Human Trafficking is one of the theories a lot of people are coming back to because of the location in Ohio. For those not blaming the family, there are conspiracy theories, a theory that someone close is hiding him, a stalker, someone he met online via gaming, and some really, really just outlandish theories. I guess kinda run of the mill when you try to wade into the local community around the case. (Never had it so close that it literally flooded my timeline though this is crazy) The reason I came here was that I needed the professionalism, order, and easy to follow format.
(and to see if it had been listed of course)
I did notice that there is a local security company (beesafe?) that has their own FB group to search for Harley, not listed as one of the official agencies being worked with. I think they are aiming for the reward money but to me, presenting themselves as a position of authority on the case when they are not. I also noticed that the agencies working on the case are shrinking, in the last update by the chief I did not see any search and rescue agencies on there.

I believe Rosefromangels is talking about the same stuff I have had to wade through. On Facebook itself there is a general talk group for the town, then there are 2 other groups being lead by others looking for Harley, so it's just a huge mess. I can't believe Rosefromangels was able to wade through so much of that and able to list it. Great job. I hope I answered any questions anyone had, and of course this all MOO/take from it all.
I honestly am baffled where Harley could be. There are little facts to go on outside he was last seen walking to school. If I had to guess? I would say he was snatched. There hasn't been much snowfall here if any to really speak of, so there's not layers of snow or ice he could be under. It would have to be the lake or there are smaller little ponds and such around PC. Port Clinton sits right on the lake, but when I was young there were a lot of places to go in that town. The tracks that run behind 3rd street i think? has woods that we would play in as children. Little woody areas everywhere. Port Clinton has the nickname of "Miami beach of Ohio' It's a 'beachside' town with tons of tourists etc in the summers. But incredibly impoverished overall. Lots of abandoned homes and businesses sit empty. Cedar Point is less than half an hour from there. Lots of islands and boats around as well.
I know this is entirely off-topic to Harley and don't want to derail at all - but I'd like to thank those that wrote in support of Sober Houses. My son recently graduated from a Sober house and it hurt my heart to read that speculation, but I was so glad to see so many here that know what sober houses are about. Sober houses aren't filled with nefarious criminals or perverts looking to pluck children from their homes. Getting accepted to one is hard, and most of them allow your children to stay with you on weekends in your living space. It's a very strict living environment with responsibilities, a lot of therapy, and working on themselves, they also usually have come from rehab to transition to sober living and then to home. It's very rigid and it's a huge achievement to graduate. I am only writing this in hopes that in future that isn't tossed around as an idea, its misleading and stigmatizing to the recovery community.
Thanks all, I hope I was able to provide some more information about the layout of the town etc.
