I’ve hit a wall. I think I’ve covered every possible scenario in my mind. I’m all out of ideas.
With one exception- Maybe someone along his route to school seized the opportunity to snatch him.
I’m wondering if anyone along that route missed work/school on Friday.

Didn't they say he diverted from his normal route and he turned SW?? I saw that in the post somewhere. Was he trying to change up his "normal" routine to keep someone from following him? Possibly trying to keep himself safer and not thinking that someone else might have thought he would do that?

OR, was the change in his route one of those that meant he had a different plan that day?

ITA. The screams would have been heard, trail of blood, flesh, bone etc would have been found.
MOO

also if he had, there would be buzzards. We have coyotes here. They don’t finish everything and leave parts behind before someone runs them off. The buzzards are super efficient though, small animal bodies aren’t around longer than an a few hours.

I set up a poll for you GordianKnot. First time doing so and hope it works as planned. (FYI, have to start a new thread in the main forum (i.e. Missing Discussion), choose More Options and scroll down to the Poll section.)

POLL RE HARLEY'S DISAPPEARANCE

Now, when you have time, you can send me some home-baked chocolate cookies :D

So this poll is considered specifics to the case????

Honestly, I'd say the chances of that are slim to none.

This case has received national attention.

HD's image has been plastered all over the town, on billboards, the internet, the television, etc.

If he had hopped on a bus, either the bus driver and/or other riders would have noticed and reported it by now.

JMO.

Yes, it is nationwide, HOWEVER there are plenty of teens that resemble HD. Trust me. My cousins son looks a lot like HD with the exception his hair is longer. I made that comment earlier in either this thread or the last one. We are in Illinois.
I just wanted to point out that there could be what some call Doppelgangers out there so a few kids might be mistaken for HD. Always something to keep in mind as well.

A new, great poster for Harley.

If you are not part of the FB groups for this case, I highly recommend joining. Yes there's some awful stuff occurring, but also a lot of support and interesting theories/convos.

The only thing I’m confident about, is that Harley is no longer alive.

I’m torn between some sort of misadventure, or foul play by someone close to him.[/QUOT
:*( I hope not. Some things have my hinky meter
So this poll is considered specifics to the case????
All of the above

Or that person works midnights and was on their way home after work early in the morning?

Roses, where did you see that crime stats are good?
Port Clinton isn't a good area when it comes to crime. Maybe violent crime stats are low? But theft, property damage, drug stats? Are all pretty high in the area.

Google Summary :
Relative to Ohio, Port Clinton has a crime rate that is higher than 89% of the state's cities and towns of all sizes. The overall crime rate in Port Clinton is 24% higher than the national average. For every 100,000 people, there are 8.78 daily crimes that occur in Port Clinton. Port Clinton is safer than 29% of the cities in the United States. In Port Clinton you have a 1 in 32 chance of becoming a victim of any crime.
Wow, that refutes City-Data, or perhaps I misread. I will take another look. I did just glance at the violent crime, which appeared low. Will look closer.

What I don't get is, if Harley was meeting someone, why would he ask to stay home? Especially since it appears his mom would be home. Why wouldn't he just pretend to go to school? Asking to stay home pretty much tells me he didn't have plans to meet up with anyone.

I agree that the odds are overwhelming that HD is deceased.

To me, everything hinges on whether that grainy image LE "believes to be" HD IS in fact HD.

If that ain't Harley, I think we're looking at foul play by someone known to him.

If that IS HD, I think it's suicide.
It may in fact perhaps even have been an unintentional suicide, i.e., he may have made a gesture, not intending it to be successful…but it was.

JMO.

First, imo, if there was an unintentional suicide Harley would have been found by now.

That said, I think it is very likely that image is Harley. They have a time and location. I think was along that route. The question is where was it taken? Was he seen on hospital surveillance? Could someone leaving the hospital at the same time he was walking to school have harmed him?

Did he ask that though???

From the LivePD segment, the detective stated that the image was of a person whom they believe to be Harley "...crossing the street in front of his house at 6:08 in the morning on December 20th..."

So it has to be from a neighbor's surveillance, most likely the Sober Living house. IMO.

I agree, with one exception: If that ain't Harley ON FRIDAY MORNING, I think we're looking at foul play by someone known to him.

And, that would include unintended fatal harm followed by criminal concealment.

Maybe he knew she would be out running errands all day?(not sure when she would have told him this though to be fair)

A friend of mine works for a service company that does maintenance in the off-season for homes around the lake. I was just thinking about all of the tourists who winter their boats and have empty homes - That's a lot of empty homes and boats in the immediate and surrounding areas this time of year.

Thank you. So we know for sure he left his house at 6:08 am. He proceeded south, towards the hospital, down the alley that runs between his house and the sober house. He isn't seen on any hospital surveillance?

Unless he told someone to meet him in the alley?

Or he was second guessing meeting them and wanted the “out” but couldn’t admit to his mom why he didn’t want to leave the house.

How are you so confident about this? Because from the sounds of LE, they are confident he is able to come home of his own volition, hence the offering of being personally escorted by the Chief.

I'm sorry, but the entire idea of a poll is hellaciously mega-mega-offensive. It's like voting someone off the island.

It’s like a child dead pool.

It’s beyond disturbing.
