Just to clarify, the “her” in this statement is Jacob’s paternal grandmother and guardian. I hope Jacob gets all the help and love that he needs!https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...r-court-today/VARiWWyBFi9hBNC3hthQIM/amp.html
“To see Jacob, to see where he is today as opposed to where his other two brothers are in their mental health stability, their life, their functionality in their community, it is just a very difficult experience for her to see that Jacob’s overall progress in life since his father’s murder has been stifled by the circumstances in which he found himself in.“
The family is happy he is receiving mental health help.
SUGARCREEK TWP. — Update@10:37 a.m.:
Jacob looked healthy when they got him this morning, Brown said. He’s thin, but he’s always been thin, he said. But the sad part is that he’s not had any schooling for the past year, and he’s not had any interactions with other kids, Brown said.
Chief doesn’t know if he’s traumatized, but he appears to be healthy.
Jacob Caldwell, teen missing since father's death, safely located
I think most people think being free is better than being locked up. Many criminals hideout out to avoid being arrested. If they didn't think that was the better option, they would just give themselves up. So no I don't think he is better off now. I too hope things improve for him. But how that is going to happen in a detention center, I'm not sure.
