One of Kei’Mani Latigue’s former teachers told 13 Action News school staff from Bennett Venture Academy reported concerning things the young girl said to Children Services on multiple occasions -- adding that
Kei’Mani was with a different guardian at that time. We’re still working to confirm who Kei’Mani’s guardian was at the time.

Kayleene Hairabedian, who taught sixth-grade English to Keimani last year at Bennett Venture Academy, said Keimani came to school with injuries regularly.
“She would have welt marks on the back of her neck, back, and stomach,” she said. “She was constantly bruised. She was fearful of going home.”

She told 13 Action News that she and other staff members called Children Services to report concerning things Kei’Mani said. The former teacher said Kei’Mani had come to school with visible injuries,
adding that the young girl was with a different guardian during that time.

So I am super confused. Iit had been reported by grandma on camera that grandma had custody for the past five years? Did she and godmother trade Keimani back and forth between their households? Who had custody of Keimani last year when she was reportedly coming to school bruised and frightened if not grandmother?
