Didn't mean that to sound rude. I had to step away.

The families in that area and other rural areas like it are usually close for economic, lifestyle reasons and tradition. It's different from enmeshed families where healthy socialization is discouraged by choice or habit.

It's about raising your kids to be independent, instead of tied to the old apron strings. Hope that makes sense. JMO
You didn’t sound rude! I understood & agree.

I've been trying to find something GW4 said when he testified but having no luck.

I remember reading a post, maybe a Twitter summary, where it stated that GW4 said something to the effect of Jake always tells the truth when he gets caught (paraphrasing).

Does anyone else remember that?
There’s been a few references to that. He said it at least on a phone call (or wiretap), maybe two different times and GW did mention it in his testimony but I don’t remember if it was direct or cross.

Jumping over a couple of pages to say that apparently Peterson Road was bought with insurance money from the previous home burning down. But, Peterson was put into GW4 and JW names so to avoid inheritance tax when Angel Angie and Billy die.

Jmo wow Jeff Tackett was paid to record Wagner’s. So they paid more than just Jake.
Paid by whom? I never heard or saw that.

Paid by bci it was stated today while going over jury instructions. Capena yes paid to record but not paid to testify. Paid $100. Pretty low amount.

Is this usual practice in Ohio? Sounds odd to me but there again I'm not from the area.

Bed time for me, getting very heavy eyes and it's a biatch to focus. I can catch up again in the morning.

Jmo it starts at 48min in todays recording. He testified in court to being paid 100 to record according what they said today. Wonder if he had bad habit cause it doesn’t seem like it takes much to get him to help out. Jmo

The Rhodens were not "enmeshed". They lived together for a while out of economic necessity. Chris Sr and Dana raised their kids to be independent and make their own decisions, pursue their own paths. The children were not supporting the parents. Both parents had jobs and provided for the minor children. The older ones developed skills, got jobs and paid their own way.

Chris Sr and Dana did not tell their children who to marry or impregnate. They didn't try to control the lives of the partners/spouses of their children.

They were not emotionally and psychologically dependent on each other.
I don’t know how you could know this. Rs are as enmeshed as Ws. Like any other family in the region. Characteristic of Appalachia.

I don’t think George was at UHR that night. I just don’t. I don’t think he participated in the planning (or he would have been there) I don’t know when he knew. Obstructed justice, maybe, same as Rita.

He only has to testify to the satisfaction of the prosecution. That's it.
Here's a question I have had -- does he need to testify to the satisfaction of the prosecutors in both cases for the death penalty to come of the table or does death get dropped for each defendant when he restifies to the satisfaction in their specific case

Who knows. They’re making it up as they go.

Jmo I agree. Think about those recordings George gets wound up, loudly wound up. So would Jake want to take someone into a situation like that to where you have to remain somewhat calm (at times extremely calm) to accomplish was Jake was wanting to accomplish.

It is a characteristic of the region, it was developed out of the harshness of the region, and dependence on one another for survival. It is hard for many to leave the region and their families behind b/c of the close connections. I've lived and worked in Appalachia all my life, only south of Ohio.

George said he had earbuds on that night right after he went to bed and was listening to music. Many people on here commented on that when he said it.

JMO
I’m sure earbuds were the usual lol. Wonder who was responsible to make sure Vine was safe and in bed. Would George have gone to bed before Vine? I can totally see JW and AW slipping out unnoticed.

Yup, I am close with many families in the region. We have no right to pass judgement. I’m hopeful the jury being from the region understands

I would think he would have to do so for both cases b/c he could wig out and decide he killed all eight again, by the time he testifies at G3's trial. He said he wouldn't lie but at this point, I'm not sure he knows what the truth looks like.

I take that completely different. To me what Jake is saying is that Billy was frustrated with me/Jake, with what he/Billy had been made to do.
Billy said that to jake.

Billy asked Jake if he (Jake) was frustrated with me (Billy) because of what he (Jake) had been made to do by me (Billy).

Like I said, as usual Jake was pushing blame for what him and Angie did themselves off on someone else. Just like witnesses testified that Jake always did to George. Jake did it, blamed it on George when caught, told Angie who also blamed it on George, so Jake could escape punishment.

In this case Jake is terrified of dying, so he gave AC what she wanted to avoid the DP by blaming George and Billy. While the state of Ohio is moving slowly in execution of people on death row right now, that could change any day and Jake instead of looking at a long life behind bars could have been looking death in the eye a couple of years down the road as any appeals he had would be automatically struck down.

Oklahoma after a long period of not carrying out death penalties has again picked up in executing them after getting their lethal injection drugs corrected. Jake could have been looking at the same thing if Ohio gets it's method corrected. So instead of getting to spend years on death row he could have been executed in just a few years.

Angel mommy got her own plea deal by throwing George under the bus just like always.

Reporters Angenette Levy and Eric C who were in the court room during Angie's testimony said on the podcast Pretty lies that Angie never once even glanced at George from the time she was brought in until she left.

This shows she was lying about him and couldn't make eye contact with him or even look at the son she was trying to send to prison to save her own sorry azz. I hope the jury noticed that. Maybe her and Jake thought George was going to Hell anyway so why not help him get there a little faster.

I still believe whole heartedly that Angie had marked George for death. She carried life insurance on him and tried several time to get him to sign custody of his son over to her. If George had ever did that he would have suffered a fatal "hunting accident" or fatal "vehicle accident" shortly there after.

BCI saved Georges life.
