Well, she was shot twice in the head so it will affect all of the body systems. We just don't know how to differentiate the chaos the brain damage caused from what her normal pathology was and would have shown. We need a pathologist on here to do this. Are there any verified pathologists on WS?......................?

CC, I really think that the LE didn’t release all information out on the victims just to see if they could get the killers talking, IMO there are way more harm done to the victims, because for one thing they where shot with a small caliber gun with a lot of blood all over the place (Bobby Jo Manley also they could not had open casket, HG had closed casket do to being shot so many times in the face, also in the autopsy reports every victim finger nails where cut short or to the quick and HG report is blackout where it talks of her finger nails, there is something to that also. Remember CC the accused Killers where sick human being, they stock the Rhodens just like any hunter would stock pray, I really believe that they did something to the finger nails trying to cover their tracks and I really believe that the Killers used some kind of knockout gas pumped into the Rhodens homes to keep them dazed and out so the killing could happen the autopsy reports talk of collapse lungs and edma, remember they had a horse farm and had access to animals tranquilizers, I know it sounds stupid but again where talking about a family that was abuses with the Boondocks Saints movie, JMO

This is the one case at Websleuths that I always keep up with. I may not comment much, but it kept me awake many nights before the Wagnors were arrested. Horrible, unimaginable crime, yet it was committed. JohnnyB has some interesting thoughts from time to time and I can't wait for this to go to trial. Some things I doubt we will ever know unless one of the perps rolls on the others. But hopefully enough light will be shed that Justice can be served. Such sadness for the Rhoden and Gilley families...and those poor kids, all of them.

Just wanted to throw out how much I appreciate all of you, and I mean all of you. You keep this going and post information I would never know how to obtain. Even if I don't agree with an idea sometimes, I still appreciate people thinking about it. I feel like Y'all are a little bit of my family, just like I feel like LM is, even though I don't know him and have never even been to Ohio. lol. Just some really good decent people here at WS. Anyone seen or heard if any of the Wagner's attended the funeral? Also, I read the facebook post of the boy mad at CRJR saying the he was mad at the guy driving a "silver Tiburon" and was going to get him. Well in the crime scene picture it shows a silver Tiburon in CRSR's driveway as the first vehicle in the driveway. So what was CRJR driving that night if he was at DR's?

The fingernails are customarily removed from suspicious deaths for any DNA evidence that may be obtained. Somewhere, I believe in the ARs, it mentioned the hands were covered with bags which further protects against transfer DNA after the nails have been removed. Also, the lungs could collapse upon transferring/loading/unloading of the bodies. I once was cleaning up a body after an unsuccessful Code Blue and was in the room by myself, just me and the DB. I rolled her over to clean up the mess and all of a sudden I heard a loud gasp. Wasn’t sure if it was mine or hers BUT after I checked my skivvies for any deposits I high-tailed it out to the Dr to come and recheck her. He did but her status was the same. He explained to me that when I rolled her over the organs put pressure on the lungs and what I heard was the air pushing through the windpipe on it’s exit from the lungs. Normally the lungs rely on negative & positive pressures to keep them inflated. That was a hard lesson learned. The edema is a normal reaction after the heart slows or ceases. It is the fluid in the veins and has no place to go with the heart to pump it. There is also microbial bacteria which tends to be active even after death. The life cycles of the gut bacteria causes gases to produce severe bloating over time. Sorry to be so graphic but you asked. Since I have no links this will be my experiences and JMOO.

Thank you for your information, on the finger nails I was saying they where not removed, I think they where cut and cleaned, if the Rhodens had one on one contact from the Wagners

Should either side feel the need to present oral arguments on those motions, that hearing is set for Sept. 20. Deering said officials will decide on a new trial date once discovery issues seem more settled.

No. I have asked a couple of verified nurses here who have worked in pathology, but they're either busy or don't visit here much anymore.

JMO, there's nothing productive to come from having discussions about the complex details of the autopsy reports.

Couple other points:

• Every victim of a suspected homicide has their hands secured inside paper bags at the crime scene to preserve possible evidence
• In an autopsy, victims always have their fingernails clipped and put into evidence. Many crimes have been solved from evidence found under victims' fingernails like tissue, hair, blood, etc. from the killer. Bagging hands and clipping victims fingernails is mandatory for murder investigations.

Thankx. I feel the same, like I know LM and could stop by his place and say hi. I just really like him. He's a straight shooter tells it like it is, wasn't afraid to tell LE off when they were putting the screws to his kids. It's nice to see him and his wife in court, Miss G, Tony, all of them.

And Robin, bless her heart, comes to court loyally. For her sake I hope her brother, whom she is close to--mentioned in court when she was told she can visit him but not talk about the case--does not get the DP. I mean that only in the context of "for her sake" not for Billy's sake.

DP cases have 2 trials, guilt phase and penalty phase. In the penalty phase (if the Wagner's are proven guilty) the victim's families will have their chance to tell the Jury what they want to have the penalty be and that's what I would want for the families.

Interesting article on the death penalty, what happens in each State when there is a hung Jury --- some jurors vote for the death penalty and some for life without parole --- and they can't reach a consensus. Sometimes the penalty phase trial takes longer than the guilt phase trial.
