Great reference on notaries

Notarization Elements

IMO, the actual documents RN notarized will stand. Not an "alleged" non-official conversation between an attorney and a prosecutor.

Also, there was a good reason RN was never allowed to "view" in DISCOVERY all her GJ testimony, as I'm sure she was shown and verified the signatures in GJ proceedings but was not given copies. Then in DISCOVERY only parts were shown to her, but attorney could view all pages and only verbally tell RN what he read. Sorry I don't have a link to the Discovery documents. JMO

BBM, IMO I think they WILL stand. In OH a notary public can only witness the signing of a document while it is in progress by the signer in front of the notary. And the notary cannot witness the signatures of their own family members. (I couldn’t find the rule as it was changed effective 9/20/19 that notaries MAY sign for family members so long as there is no self-interest. Previous to the change notaries could NOT witness for their own family members. So this is moo). If the documents were signed in Pike Co then taken to RN to “witness” in Scioto Co then she is bearing false witness. I’m trying to understand a scenario where BW would be signing the documents. Evidently they needed notarized signatures of 2 signers. Can anyone else enlighten on this? Count 18 on BW indictment https://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov...Prosecutions/PikeCountyMurderIndictments.aspx

MG, just thinking whoever the informant was had to be associated with the Ws in order to get the confidential information. JMO here and we may be thinking in two entirely different directions. All good. JMO

The informant that I was referring to may/may not be the same as the “confidential informant” referred to in the discovery. I was just contributing to another posters question of “others persons who may have played a role or been involved but not (yet) indicted.” The person I had in mind was known as a frequent visitor at BBL where the Rs worked. It’s also been theorized that CW & BW were “business partners” and the paths of all 3 crossed frequently, as it does in all small towns.

I'm not sure about the rules in Ohio, but here, a Notary can notarize documents in any county (within the state).

Your right Betty, she talked it’s in the discovery if I read it right, she talked about something and that’s why she was getting the death threats that she spoke about, we will be surprised when it all comes out and if the court show pictures of the crime scene that will alone will put the 4 Wagners in jail, that’s why Angela doesn’t want them showed, she knows what they look like, the Wagners didn’t stay at the crime scene long after the killing, when the BCI interview Jake and Angela in Alaska Jake spoke about LE showing the photos of the crime scene to him, the Wagners know it was bad, JMO

Yes the woman claiming to be married to Jake talked. This link will take you to page 5 in Angela's discovery where it says she was interviewed by agent:

Comisford (54 audios; 4 videos); (HER NAME contacts) (7 audios)

Also at the top of the page it says her name then:

Just noticed this today. Sorry if already posted..

I posted it over a week ago but I am glad you posted it today because we will get to hear this in court today, this is Rita's lawyer's response to the prosecution's Motion to Revoke Bond. It's too late to EXPEDITE REVOCATION HEARING, don't know why they bothered with this Motion on such short notice..o_O

Memorandum Contra Law and Legal Definition:
Memorandum contra is an opposing party's explanation to the court of why the other party's motion should be denied.

I've been looking too. What document did you find for Ohio? TIA
OB, I don't know if the one I found for Ohio is the one used, as it only says "application to appoint guardian...." whereas the form in Discovery is a "declaration of appointment for guardian." The latter is an internet form not specific to a state. Just print, sign and have notarized. The examples mentioned here are in the previous posts by me. JMO

So did the Wagners download the child custody documents or did their attorney draw one up?

Anything I have ever had Notarized had to be signed by both parties in the presence of the Notary. One time a car titlr was signed by the seller previously. They had to sign it a second time in front of the Notary. I can not see any possible situation where these two mothers would have signed anything concerning their children...

1:00pm...yes expect it to start late. This is the NEW NORMAL....

I hope it's not all going to be behind closed doors. We want to hear something substantial....

3 years 4 months and 6 days come on prosecution....

********A look back*********

Recently filed lists of evidence provided to Angela Wagner's attorneys indicate prosecutors may have shoe tread evidence. There are reports researching treads from several pairs of shoes including a pair of women’s “original S.W.A.T.” boots, and an apparent search for surveillance video of shoes bought at WalMart.

Here's a list of 17 different WalMart locations apparently checked with images pulled from six stores — Chillicothe, Waverly, Heath, Newark, New Boston, and Coshocton where three of the images are from April 21, 2016 - the day before the Rhodens were found slain in their sleep.

More: Rhoden family massacre: Wagner family tries to create new home in Alaska amid rumors

Investigators also searched the trash at a Jackson hotel on June 8, 2017 — the summer the Wagner family moved to Alaska where they lived until returning to Pike County last year.

...There's also more than 80 reports from various phones and other electronics of the victims, the Wagners, as well as other Rhoden family members; 732 investigative reports; and more than 500 audio files of interviews...
