Iirc DR spoke a few times, about evil ones/people on her deceased friend's memorial page. Don't know who she was referring to but it seemed that she and her friend had spoken about them when he was alive.

He was the friend who was killed in a car accident about two years before the murders. There is a remembrance page, but, Idk if I can post his name, based on TOS, but the initials are BH. He and DR seemed to have been good friends and possibly both worked in car sales. DR mentioned the "evil" ones/people on his page.

I noticed this case of the "former Ohio councilman" is also being prosecuted by Angela Canepa.

Seems like AC has a lot on her plate. Complete speculation, but do you think the reason may be because of some crossover between the cases?

I don't have my notes available to me now, but something I had wondered about in timeline fashion, but didn't get to work on, was Reporter Chris Graves.
Specifically the date of the subpoena (and the extension of) to access, monitor her phone, email, correspondence, etc. I'm not sure of all that was monitored, but you get the idea. It could be something very important, as a subpoena of that sort is not issued easily. I mean important in relation to the Wagners and their activities locations.
Not any suggestion that CG, reporter was doing anything wrong.
Can someone who has time please add that subpoena to timeline?

telling her that her communication with the Wagners had been intercepted starting June 9th, 2017 for 30 days then another 30 day extension was granted on July 7th, 2017.

So all those times in Alaska that Chris Graves was communicating with the Wagner's over e-mail/phones etc..BCI was monitoring it. This was from
June 9th until August 9th 2017.

So the question is, what exactly were the Wagner's doing in June, July and August of that year, how do those months fit into the timeline?

They were spotted moving into a rental on June 16th, then on June 21st DeWine drew all that attention to them with the MSM laser focus announcement.

Humm.....I wonder if their rental property was bugged? The timeline fits with the Interception Request. The interception of wire, oral and electronics communication.

Everything about this case is crazy but why did they keep talking to the police. You would think that they would have lawyered up (especially after the searches) but they kept on talking and talking. They will have to set aside a trial day just to play the interviews where they are repeatedly lying.

Would the police have been able to trace those audio interviews (If they were over the phone)?

JMO, this was the turning point when something LE discovered finally made them realize the W's were the killers. Not sure if they got much info from James Manley, but they suddenly had a lot of questions for the W's. I still think this realization came to LE around the time of Manley's arrest or if some disagreement in the investigative team made them balk a little, but LE fiddled around long enough that the W's were able to get out of town without an arrest. And all DeWine did was yell at them a little as they crossed the border into AK.

LE finally got some important information that allowed them to get search warrants for the Wagner properties, including Flying W. That probably took some doing as FW had a LOT of pull in Pike County. They were behind in their investigation and had to catch up, with their suspects on the run.

What happened was they were trying to cooperate and appear innocent. Remember they thought they had covered their tracks and could beat LE at their own game. They were trying to feed LE false information. According to their attorney Billy was trying to give them information to follow that they were ignoring, they were not getting back to Billy about his leads.

Yes LE followed them all the way to AK and knew where they were every step of the way, even cleaning out their trash at their hotel and making copies of their billing and hotel registration.

Nearly two dozen law enforcement agencies from 10 different states and Canada assisted with the investigation, according to DeWine.

Several dozen state, local and federal agencies assisted in the investigation including:

• U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force
• Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
• Customs and Border Patrol
• Drug Enforcement Agency
• Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Homeland Security Investigations
• U.S. Postal Inspection Service

When the Wagners saw that their plans to mislead LE weren't working, and saw the searches and the laser focus announcement, they then stopped cooperating (in my opinion).

Now they changed course and had their Ohio attorney bash the heck out of DeWine and LE in the MSM:

DailyMail.com asked George Jr why they had put down new roots in Alaska and if the police scrutiny was wearing his family down, but he refused to comment.

But the family's lawyer slammed the investigation for wasting time.

John Kearson Clark told DailyMail.com: 'Authorities have had leads. They have dropped the ball and not acted quick enough… time is of the essence in these type of cases.

'Instead, they are harassing my clients.'

Asked why they moved suddenly to Alaska, he said: 'The Wagners have been wanting to move to Alaska for over 10 years.

'Even before they sold their farm, and afterwards, the Wagners informed the authorities that they were moving.'

Asked why police were showing an interest in the Wagners, he said: 'Authorities have not come out and directly accused them of crime, but continue to harass, annoy, and violate my clients' rights by making misleading innuendos and make the public "think" that the Wagners are "persons of interest".

'But yet (they) state they are not persons of interest. Really? Then why all the publicity and putting their pictures on TV as if they are fugitives?

'It is ridiculous and is harassment. The authorities allege that they want to solve it but continue to trace and retrace their steps with no results.

'The Wagners are good God-fearing people who want justice more than anyone.

'But they are tired of being harassed by the authorities and publicity seeking politicians. They are scapegoats.

'The Wagners' lives are being jeopardized while the real murderers are still out there, lurking and waiting.

'This is the result of authorities who are no closer to resolving this crime than they were a year ago.'

He said he believed the real answers to the murders lay with drug lords who police had failed to locate.

'I find it Interesting that the public said over a year ago, that the "Mexican cartel" was responsible for the execution-style murders of the Rhoden family.

'Maybe the public was correct a year ago, and the clueless authorities bungled, fumbled and missed out on solving these atrocious murders.'

He said the Wagners had supplied police with invaluable information to help the investigation.

'Why have the authorities not follow up on the leads that the Wagners wanted to give? Is it because the authorities carelessly waited 4-5 months to get back to Billy Wagner?

'Only now doing so, unexpectedly in a public place, and hence, putting the Wagners lives in danger? Malfeasance and incompetence at its finest.'
