BBM. Kind of makes you think that she had reason to be scared for her life, doesnt it?
Yes

Now George's EX, T, knows for sure that Angela was serious. We know she was serious. Worst most evil mother-in-law.
Just imagine what T must think now!

That had she not given full custody to George (Angela) then - well you know.....
Imagine how relieved she is that she lived through her time with the Wagners. Evidently, not so easy to do.

Obviously she will be a witness in George's trial, Scheiderer called her a witness, but I wonder if she will be called to testify in Jake's trial this year?

...2 Cents...

The box of important stuff was found in Jake's truck. The smaller utility
trailer they hauled away could have been important tools like @Puzzles8 said, to make silencers. They were careless enough to leave behind fake custody docs and the shoe receipt so wouldn't be surprised if they left tools.
I agree, my memory is that the "Important Papers", were found locked inside one of the truck cabs (gray and black Dodge) on the hwy 41 search. Also IIRC, LE hauled away the entire white storage trailer.

I don't think they "carelessly left" anything when they ran from the area, they intended to take the fake custody papers with them, and they needed to take their tools to try to earn a living in AK.

IMO, the two loaded pickups and three loaded trailers had been packed with all of their worldly belongings. I believe they intended to and did later drive these two trucks and the remaining two packed trailers to AK. Everything that was important to them was packed in them.

Jake thought he had successfully hidden them on the hwy 41 land just days before the FWF and Peterson searches. According to AW they were vacationing in AK during the searches. I think they were hiding in the area and took off soon after in the two trucks hauling the two remaining trailers.

IMO, the search on hwy 41 turned up a lot of incriminating evidence, things they had intended to take to AK.

I kind of mean did she know that she (and they) had done this before.

Did she know the Wagners murdered before? If that was the case I don't think George would have gotten custody. I think she would have said something.

It's come up now and again posters wondering if they murdered before. A normal thing to think because they killed 8 people. Hard to believe they killed 8 without having killed someone before but there is no evidence they did or not enough evidence to take to the GJ.

Thanks. This is the first time I've heard it mentioned that Jake was trying to hide their property at the Route 41 car lot. I think they carelessly left that tub of important stuff behind at the car lot. Didn't they think BCI might find it? Geesh......

From what we have talked about in various posts concerning the trucks, trailers and AK, I'm going to sum it up and let me know if I'm off base.

One week before the searches they left 2 trucks, 2 large trailers and one utility trailer at the car lot on Hwy Route 41. They had filled the trailers and the 2 trucks with their property. They picked the Route 41 car lot because Jake and George had fixed cars for the guy who owns the car lot there.

They were suspicious of searches happening so they both hid and stored all their property at the car lot to pick up later to take to AK.

Then they left, as Canepa put it, to do reconnaissance in AK. (Or as you say maybe they lied and were really hiding in the area)

While gone the searches commenced but unknown to the Wagners BCI found the trucks and trailers they stashed on Route 41. Inside Jake's truck they found a tub marked important stuff and inside the tub were fake custody documents and the Walmart shoe receit.

BCI then hauled away the utility trailer. I assume all the items BCI confiscated were put into the utility trailer. We don't know if BCI brought the utility trailer back to the Hwy 41 car lot, or if the Wagners discovered it missing.

The Wagners came back from AK and went to pick up their trucks and trailers from the car lot. They discovered the tarps were removed from the trailers and their property was left to get rained on.

They hitched the 2 large trailers to the 2 trucks and using 2-way radios drove to AK.
We don't know if BCI had returned the utility truck or if the Wagners took any other truck or trailer to AK.

As expected the Wagners were stopped at the Canadian boarder. Not expected was that they were forced to unpack and then repack all their trailers and trucks, it took 2 hours for them to be let through.

On their way back to Ohio in 2018, Canadian/US boarder patrol called BCI and notified them the Wagners were there.

Then the Wagners stopped in Missouri and tried to do a fraudulent mortgage loan of which they failed. Likely running out of money they then headed back to Ohio where they were able to secure free housing. Angela had inherited her dad's house in Webster Ohio and if Billy didn't move in with her then he would get free housing at FWF. We know he was working at FWF because he was arrested in a FWF truck with RW hauling a horse to the vets. .....2 Cents.......

Did they take the trailers to AK?
IMO yes, they took the two trailers seen in the 41 search as well as the two Dodge trucks. I got the impression LE kept the small white enclosed trailer as evidence.

After they arrived in Kenai, a neighbor (Conklin) walked over to their rental and had a long conversation with Billy and Jake to welcome them to the neighborhood.

"Conklin said the family arrived driving two heavy-duty pickup trucks pulling a large horse trailer and another 24-foot-long trailer covered with a tarp and have been in the process of unpacking it".

"Jake Wagner told Conklin it took the family about a week to drive to Alaska and they got stopped at the Canadian border in North Dakota. Officials there made them unload the trailers and reload them before letting them pass through".
Family named in Ohio massacre investigation moves to Alaska | wkyc.com

I think the W4 had also intended to take the white trailer. If so, then the original plan was to take three vehicles and three trailers.

If you look at the news coverage of the 41 search, you can see the trucks and trailers shot from a news helicopter. Good shot of them about 0:38 and 1:22 in the video.

I don't think there is a definitive answer. From memory I don't recall any sightings of the W4 at the funerals.

There are also some interesting coincidences. Jake called BB asking if he could keep their trucks and trailers on the 41 property about a week before the searches at FWF and Peterson. That would have been about the same date (May 9, 2017) the W4 stopped monitoring someone/s communications. Kind of like the W4 had packed up and disconnected the last of their electronics, in preparation to get out of the area.

I will also bet the W4 had been tipped off about the upcoming searches at FWF and Peterson. They knew they needed to get out of the immediate area. And, they needed to get their possessions off the FWF or Peterson property, so they wouldn't be confiscated in the search. Jake thought he had hidden their possessions very well at 41 property.

Betty, thank you so much for keeping the media thread current.:) It is a huge job!

The two Wagners brothers where staying in Rita Newcomb house while she was taking care of her mother, rumors has it (what Rita told the judge is that she couldn’t afford to keep electricity on at that home) so where they staying there in the Dark???? JMO

At Rita's bond hearing she said she lives in Oak Hill Ohio and that the electricity was off there.

She said she spends the majority of her time taking care of her mother at her mother's house in South Webster Ohio. She did her house arrest at her mother's house.

If anyone was staying at her house in Oak Hill then all they had to do is pay the utility bills to get electric and I assume gas also etc...

They lived on Peterson Rd. I would not believe the "rumor" of them living elsewhere. Canepa said there was never a time that Angie, George and Jake did not live together and that G&J were raising their kids together.

George and Jake would not up and leave their mom and kids to live elsewhere. Rita is their grandmother so of course someone might have seen them over visiting at her house, or feeding her animals or working on her car. Maybe even taking the kids to spend the night etc....2 Cents

Speaking of coincidences, 3 weeks after the press conference and Jake's interview and the week of Jake and Angie's interview, is when Jake called BB asking to store the trucks and trailers. Jake called BB about storage one week before searches.
