Tabitha and her mother warned HR to not sign custody papers. HR said they would have to kill her first.

Geeze, what happened with introducing the other victims? I gotta go feed the dogs. brb

She's almost rambling. Just all over the place. And the Victim photos have incorrect info. HR's photo said she was the son of....
This opening statement is very confusing even to people very familiar with the case.

Pros now laying out how and who discovered the bodies.

Pros had layed out why others beside HR was killed. Saying it was because they would know who killed her. Pros completely skipped that that they had to be removed because of not wanting them to have custody of Jakes daughter Geeze!

and all the um, um, um,.....Wasn't she recently sick? I hope she is ok.

The Victims photos have how many shots, what caliber, and where on body shot. She should have stated that at the end of each victim introduction. IMO.

Still laying out the chronology of the morning of the discovery of bodies. Of course, bouncing back and forth while doing so.

I think she is presenting too much information. It is confusing listening to her bouncing back and forth. I wish she had kept this opening simple.

Detailing how LE secured the scenes, got search warrants, then executed search warrants. Coroner called for extra help. Turf war happened about which County was in charge. That is still disputed to this day.

Ok, folks I need to go do morning stuff and make breakfast. I will listen but can't type.

I agree. She should have just layed out who the victims were, how they were shot and where, and told the all the motives.

Note- I’m about 45 minutes behind still, so this very well may be covered later on)
do we know if when they went to the areas to look at, why that happened all before these opening statements? It seems as if they went to each spot and were only told a bit of info, if anything, that the locations would make even a tiny bit more sense after opening statements, I think.

Regardless, the prosecution opening is a bit all over the place as others have said. I wonder if it’s nerves knowing it’s being watched by many, or having to do with recent sickness, some combination of the two or nothing at all. Strange, but also disappointing since some of us who’ve followed this closely are confused then a jury likely would be.

Professional speakers don't sell what they're selling with ummmm's all over the place. As a "buyer" I'd be skeptical that you know you're product. This is very poor.

I'm not surprised at AC's delivery as she spoke the same way at the pre-trial hearings. This is going to be a long trial!

Even if we took out all the “uhmmmmm”s, there would still be a good portion of disjointed thoughts and started to move in one direction with the story interjected with “oh and police only did this”, “we got cell phone dumps too”.

I would either be confused, distracted by all the uhmms, or some mix of both. It really takes away from the story; and we have the benefit of being able to pause, rewind, or turn this off and tune into something else.

I really thought about driving up there today to attend but was afraid wasted trip and no room in the courtroom. I'm shocked it is that empty.

BBM "I would either be confused, distracted by all the uhmms, or some mix of both."
This is me; I'm severely distracted.

WHY did they choose Angela Canepa for the opening statement??? She is a poor speaker and sounds very unprofessional. Opening statements require a strong performance. Her tongue clicking is grating.

I am afraid the Defense will eat her for lunch.
