Not disagreeing with what you said, but I would bet a lot of those deer taken by the great hunter were actually taken illegally, poached.

Out of all the guns we've seen in Wagner arsenal, only one shotgun is legal for deer hunting in Ohio. All those typical deer rifles seen in their possession are illegal to hunt with in Ohio.

So it stands to reason, other illegal advantages were probably taken. ..moo.. Things like baiting and maybe even spotlighting. The .22 rifle is the gun of choice for spotlighters.

That also fits the modus operandi of these murders. Unfair advantage, surprise attack, baiting, intelligence gathering, etc.

I would not doubt that he'd not snag one outside season! I got the impression, though, that JW would have been more of the lazy, spotlight using, sort of hunter (who'd then likely brag about having sat in a tree all day).

The way CN spoke, about how much G4 loved to hunt, and had even dreamed of having his own hunting show, made me see a different side of G4. A side more valuable, than just being the big ole boy who went along to help move a body or protect JW, if needed. CN also noted that he felt that G4 was smart enough to have made his dream happen, had he broken away from the other three.

Planning, planting, and rotating out the food plots. If the crop rotation was set up the way that I understood CN's description, G4 would have probably had deer migrating through his food plot almost year 'round. Food plots take much more time and dedication than simple baiting. Then there's the sitting, waiting, tracking, being patient and quiet, all are qualities that can cross over to surveillance. I'd mentioned in the beginning that rather than the cartel, I felt it was locals with hunting skills. I think ole G4 might have proven me at least partially right.

Also according to Randa she stated CN kept in close contact all this time with George; up until just a month ago.
IMO, CN was desperate for George to be innocent and wanted George to verify his guilt/innocence (Randa spoke to this on the stand.) So, something gave CN pause at that time to stop speaking with George. Something must've finally clicked with CN.
Very likely. Those guys grew up together and CN sounds like he's always been very close and loyal to the family. He seems like the kind of guy who would give George the benefit of the doubt. You're right. There was probably some point at which CN realized that GW4 really is guilty.

It's a brave move to take for him and others still living in Pike County area. They might end up paying a price eventually for not remaining loyal to the Wagner family.

Judge doesn't want something going out until it's official? What is it?

Edit: Did you see that? Everyone at the Judge's bench turned to the camera as soon as they stopped walking. Or I think so, going back to look. Like they knew what was coming?

I think they're 'handling' something.
Is there a way to rewind? I heard it but wasn't looking at the screen.

What Wagners are left? Grandma not likely to cause much more problems.

Could it be one of the W's on the stand to testify? I would think waiting till after lunch would be best vs having them be there, then break and you know they'd see a rush of people during lunch heading to the courthouse to watch. Maybe keeping it quiet until official means until he or she is called to the stand?

Edited to say nevermind after seeing tweets, it's a short afternoon.

Not sure it would be helpful. Defense would argue that family members shared prescription medications, which would go both ways.

I'm not concerned about every piece of evidence, JMO. I think they've presented enough good evidence to prove GW4 was involved in the planning, cover up and, at minimum, present at the crime scenes (though I do think he also shot Chris Sr). That alone is enough to send him away for good.

The clincher is the testimony of Jake and Angela, which will confirm all of that evidence.

Since the confessions, the prosecution probably reviewed all the evidence and put the most focus on the things that Jake and Angela verified.

JMO, there's nothing state is presenting in court so far that can't be validated or added to by Jake and AW. If there's a receipt for a purchase from China, etc. that the state says "we think this was the phone jammer or whatever" that will be validated by Jake. Whatever items were bought with Jake or GW4's credit card, Jake will have to say which things GW4 purchased. This kind of evidence will go from circumstantial to direct evidence. JMO, IANAL
I keep going back to the arrests. It seemed like arrests took forever (it did!) but BCI finally believed they had enough evidence to try & convict them. Once prosecution asked for DP, though, each one had to be tried individually. With the evidence they have shown thus far, I'm convinced they could have gotten a conviction if they were all 4 tried together. Without JW's testimony, I'm not so sure they could have gotten all 4 individually on DP. AW's testimony will seal it, I think. Thankfully, they both confessed.

No cross. And now a lunch recess until 1 p.m. And then a short session this afternoon.

Rural King has Tulammo all the time.

I had a feeling he was going to say they were 154gr, I really thought he would say that weight is more common, but he didn't. Said 122gr is.

I think ... White may confirm the 7.62 is what blew up the maglite silencer. One 7.62 casing found in the barn, with the maglite.
Thanks. I wasn't sure where that line of questioning was going.

I don't disagree, but for being gun enthusiasts, where are the deer hunting rifles?

Edit: I shouldn't keep mentioning it, it's not that important to the case. I just don't like to give poachers any credit.

Is there a way to rewind? I heard it but wasn't looking at the screen.

On the L & C Youtube, you can drag the slider at the bottom or click along that line. I know it takes mine a little bit to load and get going again.

You have to make sure to click "live" over on the left side of the timer to go back to the live feed. If Live is red, it's live. If Live is white, it's recorded.

ALL My Opinion.

Billy agrees to testify, against GW4, in exchange. <modsnip>. George can get Parole, after 40 years. AW, will get some visitation with the Grand kids. ALL My Opinion.

But Look for Billy to make a deal, soon. He knows Jake will lie and get the death penalty brought back on the table.
His own deal, might not let Jake send them up the river.

Think of the goofy thing that can happen, in a case and it will occur at some point in this one.

ALL My Opinion.
Alex, I'll take Headlines for $1000.

A Daily Double!

Answer: George Washington Wagner IV Changes His Plea to Guilty in Pike County Massacre Trial

What are headlines we'd like to see?

Edit: I thought G4 looked different today. More relaxed. Less uncertain. Surely not. Nash and Parker going to surrender? Surely not...

Even Clark Kent was setting a new pace.

I think that may be it. Granny flying on a Zoom broom. (just in time for halloween)

Edit: The judge said the other day RN and FW would be testifying remotely, but then RN came into court. He's not informed?

It's definitely not just you .. he rubs me the wrong way too! The way he speaks to professionals as if they are children .. his condescending tone of voice .. the way he rolls his eyes while listening to testimony .. I'm just glad he is not questioning me. He would certainly be meeting his match if so.
Both sides could benefit from a refresher course in public speaking. jm2 Not critical, just facts.

When I said Parker 'knocked on wood', it looked like he was explaining to G4 how the day was going to proceed. maybe?

Whatever this is, it looks like they all knew in advance.

Could it possibly be an appearance by Jake Wagner?
It’s time for him to tie this all together.
Courtroom is closed so he can be brought in quietly.
Short day so that reporters can report on his testimony.
It will be big news.

Just my suspicion.

My opinion is JW will take a full day what with testimony, cross & rebuttal - at least 1 full day.

Could it be Jake's ex wife?

But I do not see anything in his docket that he is being transferred... so I don't believe it is him. JMO
