I think when we hear George and Jake talking in the big rig interceptions it will be clear. If George is mentioning any of what they have already presented, that will be pretty damning. How would he know about any of it unless he helped, was there, or was told and all of those things lead to the conspiracy.

That would be a "BAM!!" wrapped in a pretty little ribbon. A purple one in HR and Tabby's honor.

Technically speaking, they don't have to demonstrate his commitment to following the family rules. There's already evidence to show he was part of the conspiracy - planning, strategizing, buying supplies, etc. Ballistics show his gun was used at Chris Sr's murder. Shoe prints show he was there and Jake's testimony will confirm it.

Angela Canepa (and at the time, AG DeWine) felt it was also important to highlight the cult like existence of the family that caused them to plan, commit and cover up the murders themselves, as a unit.
I am thinking one or two things could be explained away as coincidence or a jury member could think, okay that could have been Angela buying xyz and George didn't know. I just don't think every single thing that could have been someone else doing xyz is going to lead to George getting found not guilty. It would have to be one heck of a conspiracy to plan, carry out, and cover up 8 murders while a member of your family lived with you, work with you, shared banking with you, etc and that person just had no idea. Then after the fact LE, the family that committed the crimes would have to work together to pin it on this other innocent family member?

That came out in her Montana interview. She said she did not buy the boys shoes. They showed her the receipts. She said they didn't like them when she got home so she threw them away. They showed her a video still of all of them in the car in Wal-Mart parking lot.

Smoked is an understatement. It was FIRE
I saw everything except them in the car. I bet my dog had to pee! I'm gonna have to go back now. Bet they coulda bought her for a dime!

Then it was funny to hear her scramble about how when she gets in the car after shopping it's not like she's showing off the stuff.. I can't recall the exact word she used, but it was like chaotic. They act like they are agreeing with her.

She didn't know they had that receipt or that they were looking for certain shoes. So neither did her boys. When they were asked about the shoes, their answer was different from hers. I think they had the same pre-rehearsed answers for things like where they were that night and how they learned about the murders.. but the questions about the shoes threw them all off and she lied.

I don't agree. She shops and buys the shoes, boys are in the car, loads purchases, takes them out when they get home, they try on and don't like them.

Could be possible.

You make a valid point.

I agree the essence of a cult is there with the shared ideology. I am not sure if that word has been used in front of the jury. Do you recall if it has?

IMO Jake helping George, or likely AW, get photos etc. on Tabby is still a decent step removed from George helping one with murder. I feel it could take greater evidence at the scenes or deeper evidence showing George's level of commitment to the cult or conspiracy.

I believe in my gut he is guilty, but I feel like what has been presented is still a bit murky as it relates to his involvement or commitment to the other W's in committing the murders. I anxiously await Canepa's BAM moment.

ETA: The BAM may come together in her closing.
Agree with you @Tiff23fr about prosecution's murky presentation. I fear if Canepa waits for her closing argument to enter The BAM, it will be way too little too late.

After 6-7 weeks of trial, there have been precious few mentions of George's connection. The jury needs solid evidence every trial day to convince the jury George is guilty of murder/conspiracy to murder. imo.

My favorites; Clark Kent and Ballistics Agent Beard are like watching a well oiled machine work.

I hear what you're saying but I'm not so sure there will be a smoking gun presented or a BAM! moment. I believe it's going to be collective.

I think it will be hard for defense and even the jury to single out one of the four as seeing no evil, hearing no evil & doing no evil while living 24/7 surrounded by evil. The biggest thing of all to me hasn't really been mentioned in court. George had two chances to show true independence & break away: 1) He could have stayed in OH when the rest went to AK and 2) When the rest returned to OH, he could have tapped out & stayed in AK.

But we'll see what the defense has to say. We have a long way to go before it gets handed to the jury.

I experience this often with this case.
I can think of a valid explanation to offset a piece of evidence here and there as presented. Once I go back into thinking of the big picture, I tell myself there is no way (IMO) all these independent explainable pieces are coincidences.

But anything is 'possible' - is it probable? No - they don't wear tennis shoes and definitely not "old man" tennis shoes. She prides herself on knowing her sons. That would be like me buying my sister a pair of jeans. She's worn then in the past but it's just not her thing now. So, would I pick up a pair of jeans in Walmart because they were a good deal? No, waste of time and money. I really wouldn't do it with a car full of kids waiting on me.

Which brings up the thought, how many things were on the receipt and how long was she in the store?

RN is probably still under a gag order up until Billie's trial as she'd probably be called to testify. Maybe. IDK
That is correct . After Billy’s trial she will have fulfilled the agreement. Then a sentencing date for those who took plea deals will be scheduled.

I’d like to see this headline:
ALL Insurance Companies review ALL Wagner Fire claims including all barns, horses, vehicles, trailers, outbuilding structures, vacant land, crops.
BBM

sorry if this has been asked already, but is that possible? One could ony hope some criminal charges if it could be proven. It sure would be great at least to see some justice for those poor livestock, animals, etc. Burning horses shows true heartlessness as well.

Jmo I haven’t listened to today but from prior days and then reading this about the texting being between Jake and Hannah it makes me feel the prosecutors are sorry in a way they couldn’t take Jake to trial and are wanting to prove to the public they had the goods on Jake, and are so focused on Jake and Angela, but the problem is this is George’s trial. How can you believe a word from a known woman beater, mass killer, who killed with two babies laying next to or in the line of fire, who with the help of his sicko mother’s was able to buy parts and make up sick lies(example go fund me). They need evidence, do I believe George was involved, yes in some way, but without evidence, I don’t know if it was just obstruction of justice after the fact. With Jake and Angela anything is possible for them to do for their own benefit. I bet if you went back time and told them this is how this would end, they both would still be head set on killing them all. I believe as this point they didn’t really care who ended up with the kids they just didn’t want it to be a R. Jmo

Once Billy got going he was like a downhill freight train with no brakes. moo

He tried to whip CR and pulled a gun, then he got humiliated. moo

He wasn't stopping. moo

CR and DR bought a house, and Wagners were still losing SW.

I'll rephrase my previous post about shoe print evidence because I think it's an important point.

The shoe prints in the crime scenes at Chris Sr and Dana's trailers came from the exact same type and size shoes (10 1/2 and 11) that Angela purchased for Jake and GW4 just prior to the murders at the local Walmart. She claims she threw them away because they didn't like them.

So, how does someone who feels the shoe print evidence is invalid explain how they got there? If Jake and GW4 didn't wear those shoes, who did? Two people wearing the exact same type of shoe, brand new, same sizes, went into those crime scenes and walked in the still-wet blood of the victims. Who could have done that, how and why?

What will doubters think when Angela gets up on the witness stand at GW4's trial and admits she lied about them throwing away those shoes? What will they think when Jake does the same?

I'm curious if anyone else can speculate about how those identical shoe prints got to those crime scenes that night?

TIA

Court received an email stating Jake's attorneys want to be present in the courtroom or have additional audio when JW testifies.

Judge said he expected AW's may also.
I have wondered if Jake’s attorney would be present when he testified and whether he would be allowed to object to questions.

he won't be allowed to object, JW has signed his agreement, he may be able to have his attorney their as moral support,

Remember when the court allowed Fredericka Wagner's attorneys to come into court and stand with GW4's attorneys to complain about the Court taking the jurors to all the locations relevant to the murders? That was odd, but the court allowed it. I suppose they'll allow Jake's and AW's attorneys, too.

I don't see why Jake wouldn't be allowed to have an attorney in the court room. But he can't object to questions. He isn't a party to this case.
