I've been reading back to W's arrest and the theories. Posting was easily as busy as now, with many of the same posters. Really fascinating! Last night, I ran up on some interesting (and amusing to me) conversation the day after W's were arrested. Round about Thread #35 mid-way down page 56.

I'll just say...lesson learned. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

IMO, it is very creepy how the defense keeps after her address. Why are they so desperate to locate her physically?
They stated they wanted to question her neighbors, that they believe they could impeach....didn't hear what he said. Nash could hardly keep his cool.... this ought to be interesting.

I went through a junk drawer today and found 3 remotes for godknowswhat. Maybe one of those will work?
I can contribute several too.
What about TV remotes?

Then it was funny to hear her scramble about how when she gets in the car after shopping it's not like she's showing off the stuff.. I can't recall the exact word she used, but it was like chaotic. They act like they are agreeing with her.

She didn't know they had that receipt or that they were looking for certain shoes. So neither did her boys. When they were asked about the shoes, their answer was different from hers. I think they had the same pre-rehearsed answers for things like where they were that night and how they learned about the murders.. but the questions about the shoes threw them all off and she lied.
I don’t see how she missed the fact that they had evidence of her buying the shoes when it was online and case hounds knew. Oops Angie. I wonder if lying changes her plea deal. Wasn’t the deal contingent on truthfulness?

Hundreds of thousands of images - Eveslage says she remembers seeing something about a Gofundme - reading this off the laptop. Jake asking for $20,000 for legal expenses.

The receipt for the bug detector also on the laptop. Linked to email used by Angela. Cross is done. And we're done for the day.

Defense also points out the laptop included the receipt for the bug detector - linked to an email used by Angela. That's it for today. Tune in to @local12
tonight at 5 and 6 for my on air recaps.

Wedding night, she requested they not consummate that night. She said Jake agreed but did not honor that. After, he asked for her bank account information, social security card, phone passcode, telephone passcode. He synced their phones so he could see her activity.

Good morning from Pike Co murder trial - first up is Jake's ex-wife Elizabeth Armer who is allowing video. She married Jake when they met in Alaska and she moved back to Ohio with them. She has opted in for video.

Grew up in Amish Mennonite community in Tennessee

Elizabeth.jpg

She had gone to Alaska to fry high school education and get more standard way of living

Attended a fundamental Baptist church on Kennai penninsula

First time she saw Wagners was in church, saw Jake and Angela and the kids - and she thought they were a couple.

Remembers "intense feeling" when she noticed Jake watching her - thought it was attraction.

Jake asked her out on Facebook - she said she was not interested in going out with someone she didn't know - so he introduced himself later

They started dating - his daughter Sophia would tag along sometimes.

At some point, pastor of church got up in front of congregation and said they should welcome Wagners in despite negative stories in media out of Ohio

Jake also told her that the family had been hounded by the news media, and that people were putting him under suspicion because his ex-girlfriend and Sophia's mom was killed

Jake proposed after nine months. She also met family for first time and they were all yelling - never heard anyone yell that much or loudly in her life.

Jake said they would initially be engaged for two years, but kept moving it up and up. Then it was just one month out. Said he was moving - said she could break it off or come with him. He said they were moving to Missouri.

He also told her he didn't live with his family, they lived separately and they rented from him. But then she discovered they all lived together.

The plan was for she and Jake to live separately with Sophia. Then she and Jake got married at a friends house "a beautiful cabin"

She is one of eight kids - seven brothers. One was there at the wedding. Beth says George and Billy sat in corner skulking.

Spent wedding night at local hotel. She asked that marriage not be consummated that night, Beth says Jake initially agreed but did not honor it. He then immediately asked for all her personal info like passwords, social security number, bank info - also synced phones

Angela and Jake also asked her to sign agreement document that she wouldn't try to get custody of Sophia in case of a divorce.

That was signed before the wedding.

I'll rephrase my previous post about shoe print evidence because I think it's an important point.

The shoe prints in the crime scenes at Chris Sr and Dana's trailers came from the exact same type and size shoes (10 1/2 and 11) that Angela purchased for Jake and GW4 just prior to the murders at the local Walmart. She claims she threw them away because they didn't like them.

So, how does someone who feels the shoe print evidence is invalid explain how they got there? If Jake and GW4 didn't wear those shoes, who did? Two people wearing the exact same type of shoe, brand new, same sizes, went into those crime scenes and walked in the still-wet blood of the victims. Who could have done that, how and why?

What will doubters think when Angela gets up on the witness stand at GW4's trial and admits she lied about them throwing away those shoes? What will they think when Jake does the same?

I'm curious if anyone else can speculate about how those identical shoe prints got to those crime scenes that night?

TIA
Well... if I was the defense I would claim JW and AW were wearing the shoes. Me and pop stayed home watching the grandbabies.

Same with my comments about the shoes- I was just saying what the defense might could claim.

This behavior of Jake and the Wagners is clearly predatory. Very scary.
Poor girl.

JMO, I think that Elizabeth's current last name should have been kept private, if that would be legally allowed. She has been obviously traumatized by this whole experience and has tried to build a new life for herself.

This poor girl. Jake is clearly a predator. First 13 year old Hannah, then poor innocent Elizabeth, who might as well have been 13. She was so innocent and Jake was such a liar.

You are 100% right. I know better than to do math on the fly, HA! I should have looked at the bottom of my Crocs.
I only know this because I literally was in the store yesterday trying to find my kiddo shoes for basketball. lol I was hoping to not have to drive around to various stores by seeing if the men's would work, but it just isn't possible. The smallest we could find in the men's were 8s and right on the box it says size 9.5 women's. I wish I could have made that work. HA!

I don't recall her saying she was raised Amish. I thought she said that before moving to Alaska she lived in an Amish community for 7 years.
