This is carbon copy of Tabitha's treatment. Imo.
I have the same visceral feelings I had then--that I'm seeing a trauma victim. And it's worth remembering that when she hears Wagners telling her they will hang her in the barn, beat her to death with a barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat, bulldoze the barn, and kill her whole family, she KNOWS that Hanna and her family are dead, all 8 of them, including Hannah Hazel Gilley. She KNOWS that Sophia's mom was murdered.

Who is the victim here? GW4 and his family who killed 8 innocent people or this young woman who barely escaped from the family with her life?
Yeah, coached or not, I don't think she was making up being strung up in a barn and threatened to be beaten to death. The defense will take cheap 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. That's all they have to work with. IMO.

I don't think she would be alive today if she hadn't called her 'friend'. They couldn't make her go missing after she repeated their threats.
What I thought immediately was that call saved her life.

She must have been terrified and trapped. Very traumatized. The Wagner family was beyond reproach. No one believed her, except BCI and PCSD.

She lived through a nightmare. I agree, Pru, she's lucky she got out of there alive. The "friend" call infuriates me, with his statement that she is being overly emotional and needs to calm down! I hope this pastor doesn't do counseling. Because that's a normal reaction to having your murder described to you in vivid detail.

That would be terrifying.

A victim can be overly coached. My statement had nothing to do with her being a victim, it only had to do with her coaching on how to frame her answers.

I wear women's 9. I often by men's shoes and I wear an 8 in mens.
Yes, I totally screwed that up in the moment. I drug my Crocs out which are clearly labeled M6 W8 and M7 W9. That's what I call irrefutable evidence. I should have done that in the first place.

Or just not engaged.
Lesson learned.

Here is where all the testimony from Tabitha and the messages and texts, etc. from Hanna come together to tell a story that is believable because it is repeated three times. Some might not have wanted to believe Tabitha or thought her testimony was not on point to the murders. But EFW ties it up; the mothers of the children and the wives/Gfs of the boys were abused and threatened. All three of them, all at different times. Two of them run for their lives. The other is dead. And all of the Wagners are involved in this pattern, starting with George abusing Tabitha.

If she didn't "know" before this moment, I think this was the moment she realized they did it and the rumors were not rumors, but truth.

I wonder if the pastor friend is the same one who "vouched" for the Wagner's to his congregation? If so, he should find another line of work. Imo.

I don't recall her saying she was raised Amish. I thought she said that before moving to Alaska she lived in an Amish community for 7 years.
she said Amish/Mennonite community

Listening to her read her own journal, remarks about Angela. Even at that time, she still didn't believe the Wagners killed the Rhodens.

ETA: That was probably for survival. She had to convince herself they didn't kill anyone in order to handle being trapped there.

This is a long break.

She says there was frequent ongoing discussion among the Wagners about what would happen if any of them got arrested. They talked about building a bullet proof bulldozer to break them out of prison.

All witnesses are prepared/coached by both the prosecutors and defense. Are we saying something nefarious is happening?

She's soooo articulate, well spoken under extreme trauma she has experienced.

I think her journal entries show that Angela controlled the money and controlled Jake and George. She was an outsider and barely knew them for a year and she picked up on just how abnormal it all was. What is really sad to me is that she is even able to realize Jake is a victim of his own mother. It doesn't excuse the crimes, but it shows how both of her sons were convinced to go along with this.

I believe in the opening AC said Angela told them the boys agreed because they believed they had to protect Sophia.

Also they were reading her Diary and confronting her on it.

She lived with them, saw & heard it all; they were basically her captors and still she didn’t see. Hard pill to swallow from outside looking in but it (almost) helps me understand a little better how others close to them…AW’s mom, half brother CN, maybe BW’s brother & sister…how they could couldn’t see what was right under their noses & remain steadfast in their defense of W-4
