Angenette Levy discusses what happened in court yesterday. IMO better than trying to make sense of all the tweets.

I'm confused. GW4 froze and jake took the gun and opened fire. How do we know who killed Chris Sr? What am I missing? Did Jake say at one time that his first shot missed Chris Sr? Did any of Jake's shot hit Chris Sr?
There was also mentioned that gunfire was heard from inside the trailer. BW was inside the trailer when JW opened fire, I believe...IIRC

I'm just coming in now and in reading back some. I cannot believe the defense is now saying the BW as well as GWIV were not present on scenes that night? Not that they didn't shoot anyone but that they weren't even with JW that night? Am I getting that right?

I haven't heard the defense saying BW wasn't there. I did see that they asked if Jake moved bodies. Maybe they are just trying to get Jake to say he did some of the stuff that Jake has claimed George did?

"A lot of contradictions here" in the rulings about opting out. I couldn't agree more. The 12C precedent case was done for a juvenile, IMO it was never meant to apply to confessed killers or conspirators in murder. The supreme court needs to revisit 12C. AJMO

From what I understand the first shot (Jake) shattered Chris's arm. Billy was standing beside (or near) Chris, shot him, then killed Gary.

I don't remember if I read that in a tweet or saw it on the podcast, but that's my understanding. The podcast had filled in quite a few blanks for me.

My apologies, you're right. I meant the defense is now saying BW...as well as GWIV...didn't kill anyone. It enrages me, the defense's ploy. It makes perfect sense to me that JW would have, at that time, told his attorneys it was all his doing, the killing. He wasn't going to turn in his family members. When it came to plea time I'm sure the prosecutors say, hey buddy if you want a deal to save your life, you have to tell the truth. We know there was more than one shooter so don't give us that other baloney. AJMO

Does anyone know where to find the actual documents in this case? I can look up what is being done on the court case website, but I don't see where I can pull up documents like the subpoenas that I have seen. Where would those documents be? Are they available to the public or do we just have to wait for a media outlet to get them and share?

I just watched the video to see what you were referring to. I didn't realize this was a video I could watch since it was showing video unavailable. I thought it had been deleted!

AFAIK you gotta submit a request for the records you want to the court clerk, if you’re not local and can’t go in person to make such request (and don’t want to wait for those in the media)

One person in particular mentioned several times so far in this thread as a podcaster is getting her documents from someone who is there in person, so it’s easier and quicker that way. Unfortunately as you likely could tell since you asked their Court website doesnt allow for the viewing or downloading of actual documents (if you’re just a nonparty and member of the public) which is frustrating, like some other states do allow and have that feature in their court websites.

So far do you think JW has fulfilled his deal of testifying satisfactorily?? I'm sure there could be some minor discrepancies but all in all? Of course the defense hasn't gotten their chance to rattle him and AC can probably fix what needs fixing. What would have to happen for the DP to be put back on the table? I know this trial has to finish and AW has to testify and then whatever BW decides to do. Part of me wants them to screw up and I'm wondering if the prosecution just agreed to let JW and AW hang themselves. This is going to take a while.....

@justtrish
Which documents are you looking for specifically?

More objections for sure.

Aren't they ALL 4 charged in all 8 murders? Reckon that's what he means? He plead guilty to all 8 murders? Even though he only killed 5 (Like THAT makes a difference!) so he feels like he took them all?

Some of the things Jake is saying that we think don't line up are not things we know for sure Jake said. AC gave the opening where she stated Jake will tell you this and Jake will tell you that. I don't think AC would intentionally mistake things, but she talked for a long time.. Him seeing the light from Dana's phone could be said many ways, AC didn't say lights were on, but that doesn't mean Jake didn't say that to her in his statement. The hall light could be on and bedroom lights off.. I usually left some type of light on when I had a newborn because I'd have to get up and move around with a newborn to change diapers, go to the bathroom, walk a fussy baby around, etc. It also doesn't mean he first said lights were off and now he's saying lights are on. We don't know exactly what he said before all we have is AC's opening statement and his testimony now. We also only have tweets to rely on.

I am not saying his story is inconsistent or isn't, I'm saying we don't really know because opening statements aren't a statement directly from him and tweets are lacking in some ways.
he has changed his testimony from direct to cross, when questioned by AC he said he could see DR with her phone on, now he has said he peered under DR closed door and could see her phone, I would like to find a picture of the door to see if this was possible, also he only decided to tell prosecutor in July that BW shot 2 bullets into FR, I can see why he may have added that (with a little persuasion from prosecutor) as he never saw BW kill anybody in all his discussions with prosecution and the state have no evidence to show BW was ever at the crime scenes except for JW testimony, so they may need JW to testify to the 2 bullets for FR from BW which I do not believe,

with JW now saying he saw BW shoot KR the state has an eyewitness if the jury believe JW at BW trial

Jake's deal won't be fulfilled until after he testifies at Billy's trial. If Billy makes a deal & does not go to trial, Jake will have fulfilled his deal when he finishes testifying in this trial.

I do not think Jake has messed up enough to lose his deal. Defense is still cross examining & AC will do her best to clean up any discrepancies during her cross rebuttal.

It's not over. Jake has several more days on the stand.

we can only hope
I'm not at all for Jake or Angela losing their plea deals. The state of Ohio doesn't need to spend more resources on these killers. Life without parole without having to expend money on a trial and risk what a jury might do? That's great for the state of Ohio and justice. Finally, like the possibility of parole, the death penalty is essentially a life sentence for the victims' families, who have to show up or hear about the endless stall and delay tactics. It takes a decade or more, usually, to get an inmate to the death chamber.

Do I think Jake is telling the truth? As much as he needs to do so to conform to the evidence the state already had. He gave them the guns and other items of evidence. I'm glad because that gives us a more certain chance of convicting Billy and G4 and sending them away for life.

They're a crime family. Let them rot in prison. Canepa et al. got two of them there without a trial. Just my own opinion.

Something seems amiss. If he’s changing his story, it Could cause problems.
If he’s changing his story

Which story? He has told so many no one can keep up.

This is a very valid point. For some reason the prosecution wants to keep JW off camera. IMO, I don't think it's because they are worried about hurting his feelings. It's possible the prosecution wants to do everything in their power to assure a full testimony from Jake. Maybe, at this point the prosecution is more focused on getting a willing, full testimony on record. It appears to me that Jake is testifying to the prosecutions expectation, maybe they do not want a change in attitude from Jake.
Maybe it was "You have to testify against your brother and father but you won't have to do it on camera." Give to get.
