No I can't supply a photo for the same reason as up above. Len was sitting behind the barrier anyway. This guy was sitting directly behind prosecuters.

I'm going to zip it for rest of today. Not getting very far am I lol.

I've seen the guy(s) you're talking about. He's got a gun so I assumed it was security.

We got a bigger blocker....
BGIII sitting back, NO reading glasses or NO reading along. Sensing he is a "verbal & auditory" learner. His attorney's are not even bothering to hold the paperwork up in front of him to "read along" as was done with the other suspects.
My observations jive with his attorney's statement (paraphrasing), "only a 7th grade education."
He is not the reading type. It's very unlikely that he was here reading our posts

I am trying to find a link that states his attorney is not appointed by the court. At the beginning of Billys arraignment I didn't hear the judge say anything about the attorney being court appointed.
I heard the judge say they were appointed and ask if he was satisfied and he said "yah"

She had to adjust her blouse so the cross was showing better when she saw the camera pointing at her...I hope it means more to her than her mother and brother...
Yes. I was very impressed with it. Maybe she wants to be seen under a good light with a good character. It would explain why she wore her nicest blouse, the white blouse, to the 4 hearings.

I missed the last half of the live video. Thanks to my great internet service and its snowing here .. :( Anyone have a copy of the video?
Here is a copy on facebook.
Off topic - I can't believe the paint job by the door frame. It just really bugs me to see such a shoddy job. Could the maintenance department not afford a roll of painter's tape when they were painting?

Interesting that they covered up most of his "rune" tattoos. I said this in the last thread, but if they are there to represent his "white pride" or "purity" I'd love to know what crowd he was running with. Just my opinion, and I'll state it again: you don't get those kind of tattoos out of the blue. And if he really does have a 7th grade education, he probably wasn't sitting up at night reading all about ancient Germanic languages. JMO

In the indictments for all 4 defendants concerning all 8 murders, it states numerous times, in many applicable places:

"... was the principle offender of the Aggravated Murder or, if not the principle offender, committed the Aggravated Murder with prior calculation and design as specified in Section ......"

I think (jmo) this removes the need for the prosecution to have to decide and prove, who killed who, "on or about the 22nd day of April 22, 2016" and allows them to charge all 4 defendants with 8 counts of murder. Anyone who participated in the "prior calculation and design" is culpable for all the murders if found guilty at trial.
Obviously, IANAL, but this seems to be written to cover the possibility that some may have been more involved in the actual killings than others and yet all will be considered guilty of all 8 murders if found guilty.
Obviously, IANAL
So, Jmo.

Seemed unusual to stand up while the judge is still speaking. One attorney to raise an objection, ok, but this wasn't the time for that. Acceptable to the judge, it appears.

Thanks for the clarification altojack!
It's been bugging me at each arraignment but, who is the big guy sitting behind the prosecutors. He looks rather scruffy to be sat so close to them.

I looked at Angela's video and saw a guy in a gray suit sitting behind them. Is he the one? He kind of looks like Mr. French from the tv show. Dark hair, graying, moustache, etc. Off to the right of the prosecution is a deputy and the clerk or bailiff sitting behind a desk.

Lol. Are you a painter too? I keep thinking the same thing.

Me, too. I've repainted most of my house interior, refinished and stained some hardwood floor and trim. Have 2 new pella casement windows going in next week that will have to be primed and painted. My contractor taught me how to do it professionally. I use tape, let it dry for at least 24 - 48 hrs.

Good on you! I love doing all of it but my favorite, of all, would have to be doing the one of a kind walls and furniture. My Dad was a contractor and I was his painter, loved every minute of it. :)
ps. I want to paint that courtroom door red. haha

Thank you, Tangy! Chilli Gazette is a good local paper.

Collins, Wagner's lead court-appointed attorney, said he’s represented five defendants who have gone to trial facing the death penalty and is currently the lead counsel in three federal death penalty cases.

Wagner, in an application filed Tuesday in which he declared he is unable to pay for an attorney, listed $0 in liquid assets, such as bank funds, stocks or cash on hand.

BBM

Let's post this one in the Media & Timelines thread for reference.

Actually, the Pike County courtroom would be an interesting challenge, no? If you have the right tools and supplies.....good scaffolding, etc....

THAT has me puzzled. Why did they stand when they did??

I keep hearing this rumor. Is there any truth to it? There was a lot of discussion by DeWine & Junk in the news media after the arrests about the state helping pay for the cost of the DP certified attorneys. After looking at all the attorneys they recruited, I didn't see anything to indicate Billy's was procured privately.

This seems like one of those stories we shouldn't allow to start circulating as fact when we have no proof yet.

TIA.

ETA: Here's a link to the article where Collins talks about moving trial and saying Billy is accused of being the mastermind, seventh grade education, etc., but no mention of court appointed or representing FW.

Defense attorney pushes to move Rhoden family murder trial

AT @ 2:25, they introduce attys, state both have DP certs., and the judge says "they've been appointed by the court, to represent the defendant in this case..." loosely quoting.

GW3 Court Arraignment, GW3's attys are Mark Collins and Thomas Hayes. Collins is lead council.

FW's atty. is James Owen. @ around :30 seconds. He does not say appointed by the court for FW's atty.
