Will respond a bit later. Just wiped out a long
Was it not in Sept or Oct of 2016 that Reader (I think) first made the comment “people that told lies......”
NOT VERBATIM,
But iirc, that was in one of his first public pressers.
Anyone??
If so, who LIED at the onset?
m
Imo. All of them. Everyone inevif the Waggies who opened their mouths lied. Maybe a very few others.
Jmo but I don’t think W are behind this jmo

Well let’s run a short distance
That reference seems more like a "placeholder", IMO.

Bedbugs can be packed into anyone's home. The bedbug issue is not saying mean things or victim bashing the Rs/HHG . If they had them they had them. My kid brought lice home one year. It was all in the elementary schools. We treated it and moved on. Treating it was a pain, for those who have not had the joy. My kid's hair was snipped short after that. I'm not dirty, but many think you have to be dirty for your kid to get hair lice. You don't have to be dirty to get bedbugs either. They are not easy to get rid of though. Insecticides don't kill the eggs. It's why I'm freaky about checking motels. I do not want them.
I agree. My response was more so directed towards the comment about the victims weren’t made to look any worse than what they already were and what had already been reported about them. I suppose I just don’t think it’s an accurate or fair statement to say the homes were infested because we, as the public don’t know that, ya know? We don’t even know which home was treated. I’ve seen with my own eyes a previous post from HHG only accepting furniture from her grandfather because she didn’t want to bring unknown furniture in her home due to the risk of bedbugs. Just my thoughts.

Do you think Sheriff Reader didn’t do a good job, I think he did a great job, by contacting the BCI in the first hour of the murders or maybe we would have never none who killed the Rhodens.

I agree with you, Mitten. The discussion of rumored bed bug infestation is just that - a rumor. It's irrelevant to the case. JMO, people only bring it up to divert discussion of the case and the killers and to insult the victims. WS members come here to discuss the case and get justice for the victims, not to discuss rumors or engage in victim bashing on irrelevant topics.

It's a rumor and irrelevant. Perhaps we should consider reporting to mods the next time it comes up in discussion.
It is not a rumor. "The Pike County spending included: $25,148.36 for rental fees, portable restrooms, surveillance cameras, fuel, coolers, undercover truck, and bed bug treatments for one of the Rhoden crime scenes." Ohio AG Office: ‘unable to identify’ all Pike County costs

infestation- "To live as a parasite in or on: livestock that were infested with tapeworms." The American Heritage Dictionary entry: infestation

I think he did a great job. Reader walked into horrendous crime scenes that aren’t often seen in big cities, let alone small town America. I feel like Reader knew the crime scenes and murders were behind his realm of expertise and calling BCI and the AG was the smartest decision that could’ve been made.

BBM - ONE. Not all. One. That’s hardly all of the homes being infested. Further, if one looks at the invoice, the invoice from what I remember doesn’t say one home, or even two or four homes. It simply says bed bug treatment. We don’t know that every home wasn’t sprayed before being put into storage as a preventative. Either way, it’s still irrelevant to eight people being murdered and four Wagners with a combined 89 charges, inclusive of 32 counts of capital murder. JMO.

I never said that all trailers were treated for bedbugs. Chemical preventative treatment is not done for bedbugs BTW. I responded to you originally to your post where you were saying that the release of the information regarding bedbug treatments made the Rhodens look worse than they already did. I stated that was not the case. Previous released information already did not show the victims in a good light or pillars of the community.

This is post #165 rigsby2
I know a couple of threads back, there was discussion about FWs holdings, etc. and I don't recall if this article was already referenced. But it's interesting to me that she created 3 LLCs in 2016. I don't know if it ties into the case somehow, anyone know how to find out when in 2016 these were done? Sure would be interesting to know who was named as beneficiaries....

Were any tax/reporting/LLC laws changed in 2016 that might have caused the formation of these LLC's?
Interesting that these appear to have happened 6 months after the murders, maybe someone trying to protect their assets? Were the real estate ones created in 2016?

There were no changes in tax laws in 2016 that would pertain to an LLC. There were some changes in how the IRS would begin auditing partnerships beginning in January of 2017 though. So a lot of people started jumping out of partnerships and into LLC's in 2016. That could have been a factor.

Was it in an MSM article? If so it can be discussed here I think. I just don't have anything to say about it because IMO the R's were not killed by bedbugs nor were they killed because they had bedbugs.

Bets. There was an invoice in the Sheriffs records for bed bug treatment. That is a non starter. 10 friends staying in a four star hotel back east brought them back after attending a huge conference.

The hotel paid for eradication for homes cars and our office building in the months after. Those little annoying critters spread 100 times faster than rats and bunnies. One single pregnant female is all it takes and they got into luggage in 3-4 days. is no indication of anything Germaine to these murders.

Bed bugs are found on commercial air flights and in the finest of hotels as well as the grungiest of motels. It's no more surprising or indicative of anything at all, that a $2,500 purebred dog can be as infested with fleas just like the lovable mutt can. It's possible S brought them home from a play date while H visited with friends. How can we know? Why do we even care? Eight people were murdered in their homes... why?

ETA: And, it didn't "break the bank" at any rate.
"How much does it cost to professionally remove bed bugs? For a full bed bug removal, expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $1,500, depending on the method you choose and the experience of your exterminator. Most will charge you a fee for consultation, which includes visiting your home and doing a thorough inspection."

There was a copy of an invoice for an exterminator in the Sheriffs expense reports.

Peps. I agree has no bearing on murders that I can see. Just discussion because these nothing new to chat about.

I apologize if you thought that was directed at you. I realize I replied to your post, but I wasn’t trying to imply that you said all of the homes were infested. I did so to point out that the particular article you shared with us stated one home. Other posters had stated all of the homes, IIRC. It’s similar to how some media articles say one thing while other outlets say another. I was simply just acknowledging how the reports are not cohesive across different media sources. That’s unfortunately how journalism works and how minute facts become embellished. JMHO.

For the record, I never said the bed bug treatment made the Rhodens look worse than they already did. Those were not my words. I basically said the bed bug reports further added insult to injury. While I’ve witnessed many negative and derogatory remarks about the victims over the past couple of years, I have never thought the Rhodens looked like anything besides victims. I’m pretty open minded and try my best to not judge anyone by what others say. I’ve continued that mindset while following this case. I wouldn’t care if the victims lived in squalor or if they lived in mansions. That’s all irrelevant in my eyes. To me, they are victims. 4 of them were very young with a lot of life lessons yet to be learned. They were living and learning and the media didn’t mention that when they shined a light on different aspect of their lifestyles that caused the public to judge.

Have a blessed day.

Were those records linked to the PCSO web site? Were they mentioned in the news media? I don't recall they were. As such, its considered rumor at WS. Maybe we should ask the mods to make a decision about it.

ETA: Not trying to be critical of anyone personally, but we need to adhere to TOS to avoid problems in the thread.

I have only ever seen those specific, b-bug charges lumped in with other charges. No complete itemization list ever but I have not read every news article, for sure. Here is an example of some of the charges incurred... along with some other interesting information, as well, imo

Jody Barr provided the invoice in one of his investigative reports. However, that was two years ago and since he has left the media outlet he was with. I’ve went back through his video reports but have yet to find the invoice that was provided back then. It is somewhere though, I just don’t know where. Things disappear in this case unfortunately :(
