Thank you ColMustard I think 4 pairs of identical shoes were purchased for the SOLE PURPOSE
(excuse the pun, "sole" purpose...get it?) of confusing investigators as to the number of individuals involved in the crime. Since investigators always look for shoe prints in order to identify the possible perps, as well as the number of perps involved, it makes sense. Remember Investigation 101: Once is an accident, two is a coincidence and three is a pattern....AND FOUR PAIRS OF IDENTICAL SHOES IS PREMEDITATION ON STEROIDS. (not screaming:)...just emphasis.) It is also an indication that all 4 of the W's walked (or planned to) on the property in commission of their attack. Can you imagine the shock investigators got when they were able to match up the purchase of 4 identical pairs of shoes to the W family? That had to be an AHA moment that left everyone shaking their heads in disbelief. IMO.
Maybe they purchased what might've called "barn boots" for work in the barnyard. Walmart sells something like that for $14.99. Not that unusual if everybody needed a pair---hey wait, they'd double for messy jobs besides barn yards.
But we don't know whether they purchased barn boots or high heels as far as I know.

JMO, The shoes where supposed to match like the Manley shoes, it was intended to throw off the LEO, and to frame the Manley for murder.

Now I agree there is something to the shoes, but I can’t believe aw put on shoes the size of Bw and wore them into a place she may need to run from if something went wrong. Jmo

Lol, I’ve fallen on my face before trying to make a mad dash to the trash with my husband’s shoes on, lol. You know, the garbage truck is coming & there’s one more thing......stick feet in first available shoes?

Like the tall rubber type boots? They have very unique sole pattern. IMO, of course. It would be interesting to know the type sole the “soulless” murderers used.

Chris Graves was pulled off the Rhoden murders story around the time she went to AK to interview them. Wasn't it around that time that Chris made the correction to her older story "Death In the Foothills" about JW picking up S? Basically, JW changed his story about when he had picked her up from the evening of the murders to the day before. Was there someone left alive in the extended Rhoden family who refuted his story?

That was also around the time JW and AW agreed to be interviewed by the Cincinnati Enquirer via email. Perhaps something that one of them said in that interview made DeWine and Reader finally focus on them. Something that didn't match a previous statement, perhaps.

Per Chris Graves article, this correction is listed at the top-“Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported when Hanna Rhoden's daughter went to stay with her father, Jake Wagner. Rhoden dropped her daughter off on Friday, April 15, 2016.”

This is noted at the end of the article - “

Within one month of the article being published, CGraves edited the date of when SW went with JW.

JMO, I was defending the Rhoden s, I do not agree with the bed bug tale, I believe that the killers where doing all they could to make the Rhoden family look like white trash, anybody can get bedbug it's not worth all the trouble talking about it, I hate that someone thought they could play God and decide to take lifes, the young Rhoden s and Hannah Gilley had their whole life ahead of them just have a bunch of Bullying thugs to take it all away.
Thankx for saying that Johnny. I'm glad your not trashing the victims like I had thought. I'm pretty sensitive to the victims being trashed. Seen it and heard it too much over these past 2 and 1\2 years. Just want Justice done at this point. Take care.

You have a nice night too, Mittens. I'm a regular down to earth person who lives life in Appalachia too. That's why I guess I misunderstand some of this talk.
Thank you. And yes, it’s easily misunderstood at times. Down to earth Appalachia will always be home to me.

I think we can all agree that bed bugs can and will cross socioeconomic lines.
Thinking about this for my avatar, thoughts?

My opinion is the same on this one.

And that had to be embarrassing to someone, IMO

If in fact they were not guarded by motion detection devices and video captured every person who entered the property.

We will when the right time comes. The public has no legal right to anything until then. Imo

I've been thinking all wore protective clothing and the shoes bought at Walmart might be rubber overshoe boots or shoes with a distinctive sole pattern, not all the same size possibly but style or brand. Just a thought.

It doesn't matter if they purchased high heels, barn boots or ballet slippers, what matters is that whatever they purchased are linked to this massacre, otherwise why mention it in the charges? Doesn't everyone own shoes? But something about these make them significant to the crime scene. (exclamation point.)
Does anyone else have a better explanation as to why shoes would be in those charges?

You're welcome. Just felt that part was relevant, it says so much that we didn't know until the indictments.

Earlier, Count One I believe, IMO, states Kenny was killed to cover up the other murders. I dare say that without re-reading, but that's what I took from it, IMO/MOO.

edit: Hmm, the Ohio AG web link to the indictments has been unplugged. Shows a blank page for me now. Disappearing info again? Doesn't even show in the address bar. Deleted with extreme prejudice.

Mental note to self: purchase correct size shoes if planning to commit a crime.

Bet so! LE prob’ located receipts for the purchase/s.

MOO, footprints at the crime scenes. They walked, like every other mortal.

Also, if you're only driving, wearing an oversize shoe might not matter, but if you have to exit the vehicle, you're making the same footprints. Stuff the toes and wear plenty of socks.

18 pieces of evidence....I think that is a no brainer....bullet casings that didn't fall into the brass catchers! Why you ask? Easy, the brass catchers were not made to hold 32 bullet casings...they spilled over because the catchers were full. IMO, duh. Or, the casing were hot and burned a hole in the kevlar fabric and some fell out of the hole? Just thinking out loud and hoping for other ideas. TYIA

Raincoat type gear maybe. Would be easy to dispose of in a burn barrel even. Would also disguise from FR's small child if he awoke.
