I watched parts of the movie. I was a bit disturbed by the tonality. It made killing look easy, fun and justified. It's a bit like the fargo series which I enjoyed very much.

Viewers need to have some maturity to process it as pure fictional entertainment. This is why movie ratings exist. But is age the only criteria?

Then I reflected on other cases where a killer was influenced by a movie. The Colorado joker/batman cinema shooter was an adult who suffered from a mental illness. Food for thought.

Oh ok, I hadn't heard that before. Is that something they had worked out right before the murders, picking up and dropping off S at BBL? I know there was a story about JW putting together a crib for the new baby, I always took that to mean he was welcome at the new trailer.

I hadn't thought about that. He could have been keeping tabs on them. I just remembered the LE stating that there had been more than one fight or altercation that hadn't been reported before the murders. Who knows if there were witnesses to either that or seeing GW3 around BBL a lot during that month period.

Re Sheriff Reader and the investigation on him. His brother being fired is just noise. A lot of people are related in these small counties.

I'm sure people remember the person who popped up on another site accusing the Pike Co Sheriff and prosecutor of illegal mob like behavior. It was very odd. She presented her self as an insider /very knowledgeable and had great arguments/ evidence against them. Then it's was discovered that she was from Licking County and had in the same way harassed law enforcement, lawyers, county officials there. I wonder if she was behind these allegations.

I find it curious that the anonymous allegations against the sheriff came up around the time of the arrest .

I've also thought the Wagners may have been behind these allegations.

Regardless of the allegations source I don't think they will amount to much. I think they were intended to discredit the Sheriff and therefore discredit the investigation. But as Betty points out , it won't work because the Sheriff immediately did the right thing, he called for state help with the investigation. He wouldn't have done so if he was involved in the crime.

Welcome sunshineray! Good question about the 22 cal automatic. Wonder who used that one? Should we also assume this was the one that was used with the home made silencer?
