Yes, the gag order was issued for Fredericka. She's just defying it anyway thinking the benefit of getting her false information out in the news media outweighs any minor punishment she gets for violating the gag order.

Perhaps the judge should put her back behind bars.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this mornings The Plain Dealer article. I guess at this point, nothing should surprise me.

Does anyone think the timing of last Friday’s “Motion to Dismiss Indictment” was a coincidental prelude to today’s feature article on FW?

No verifiable facts in that story, just spin, and theatrics. Could easily be fiction. Possibly unrelated facts woven together by FW and her attorney into a story.

All we know for fact is there are two BPV's in evidence and documentation from Amazon (it's content and relevance unknown) and that FW perjured herself in her GJ testimony. We have no idea how those facts might actually be related in the Indictment.

I have a hard time believing that AC and her team have made such a glaring mistake on receipts. AC is too sharp. But in the meantime, FW has gotten her publicity machine going and there is no one that can challenge her version of the story because they are under a gag order. On the surface, the Prosecution was made to look foolish and I guess that was the intent of the article.

Rather than dismissing the current count of Obstructing Justice, I think I’d add another count for discussing her Grand Jury testimony again in this interview.

Agree, FW is lying about the charges.

The state/prosecution needs to stop being so da*n secretive about this case. The public knows so little about the charges and facts of the case that FW and her lawyers are able to make up any kind of story they want and convince gullible people that it's accurate.

Time for the prosecution to open up and let the public know more of the details, more about the charges and evidence. Hiding so much basic information from the public is hurting their case. The obsessive, controlling and unnecessary secrecy is a bad habit of Gov. DeWine and the other bigwigs and they need to stop it.

Can we expect that the Oxygen show is also going to be sympathetic to the Wagners? OMG, I'm guessing it is. Who is paying for all this expensive publicity to get the Wagners out of jail?

This is better PR than Jonah Shacknai ever got to protect his family from accusations of murdering his girlfriend, Rebecca Zahau. Jonah is a billionaire who spent tens of millions on a full time PR firm for years, then more on top attorneys. Even then, he never got favorable media coverage for the killer in his family like what Fred is getting. If the Oxygen show is favorable to the Wagners, you can bet someone very powerful is behind this.

The gag order was the one the judge issued at the very first pre-trial hearing.

I think I'll wait to hear the actual evidence, not Fred Wagner's version of it. I'll believe it when I see it in a verified transcript of the GJ testimony or video of the same.

I'm surprised anyone would take her word for what she said or didn't say to prosecutors. She's not in a courtroom or under oath. Her offspring and grandchildren are on trial for murdering 8 innocent people. She may have known about it. Why would anyone believe her?

Shame on Cleveland.com for running a propaganda story to help exonerate the mother of a family of bloodthirsty killers.

I know you and I don’t have the same opinion on the Chris and Billy relationship, but if it’s untrue then let her keep flaunting her inaccuracies or exaggerations. I don’t see how any of this will help her case. Whatever the evidence is, is the evidence at end of the day.

I think both charges will be dropped against FW but I look forward to the hearing/trial.

I agree that she's not doing herself any favors with her sneering, eccentric demeanor. But, sadly, most of the public doesn't pay close attention and will be easily fooled by the lies she is telling. We already have some members here who are believing her BS.

The prosecution and judge should respond strongly to this. If they continue to let the trial be run by the killers, it will be a very big problem for them. If they allow the W's to get out of jail, the surviving family members lives will be in grave danger. I fear they would also regain custody of S and the other child. Let's hope we have honest, hard working prosecutors and judges down there who will make sure they can maintain control of these cases.

Her body language is very revealing. She's lying all the way. Her posture, side-eye, blinking eyes, etc. Very sketchy.

ETA: The oddest part of this story is that all of the Plain Dealer's readers today are asking "why is this on the front page?" Not really a big news story up in NEO. People are unsure why they need to care about this weird old lady.


Time to start some new sleuthing. Checking into FW's background, her attorneys and following the money to see how it connects all this together.

If you want to begin disparaging the reputation of parents who were brutally massacred in cold blood because their daughter had premarital sex with a guy who preyed on her, then later murdered her and her entire family, you may want to reconsider.

Jake Wagner and his family murdered the Rhoden family and Hannah Gilley in cold blood and left two infants and a toddler alone with their dead bodies for several hours, putting the infants at risk, too. The Wagner family brutally stole the lives of those children's parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

I can't imagine any of the surviving Rhoden or Gilley family members have any kind thoughts or feelings towards Jake Wagner or his family today. I can't imagine they would be offended by anything bad I have to say about the suspected killer Jake Wagner and his family - Billy Wagner, Angela Wagner, GW Wagner IV, Fredericka Wagner and Rita Jo Newcomb.

I am NOT going to take sides on the issue of Hanna and Jake but will say this.. Dana, Chris, and MOST of the family accepted JW. She started seeing him in I believe August of 2010 when she was 13 years old. IMO only, it should have been up to Dana and Chris to put a stop to it and I am NOT bashing anyone, just stating the truth. I also blame AW and BW for their part in allowing it. JMO.

Can we all please move past this now as it is water under the bridge, and one day the little one may read our words.
