I'm skeptical since this article/picture is from HG's funeral. If it were HMR's funeral, I'd be a little more willing to think it was JW holding SW. Hard to say, though, for sure.

On more thought. I wish we knew the date of photo number 1 in this article. The hair appears possible.

Yes it could, but hand me downs that fit are often used, also. That whole area is rather poverty stricken so it could be either, really.

Interesting, hard to say. Can't see any of his face. Can't see the color of the little girl's hair. Does his hair length fit? It was kind of short back then, but it seemed he was growing it out.

I feel there are still many interesting things to come out. I look forward to hearing more about how some came to have sudden baby sitting jobs and changes in plans. Someone had to be pulling strings, making calls, and making things happen. JMO

According to Kendra Rhoden she was going to sleep over at HR's but got a babysitting job.

According to Kenny Shoemaker (HG's grandpa) Meranda G was driving to spend the night with Hannah G but for unknown reasons turned around on the freeway and went back home.

According to Donald Stone he was going to sleep over at Kenny's but instead stayed with his girlfriend.

Yes. He would have had black hair at the time of the funerals. IIRC, the black hair photo showed up on his Facebook page not long after the murders.

JMO, that didn't happen. Wagners wouldn't have tipped anyone else about the murders. They were able to keep it a secret among themselves for nearly 3 years after the murders. All the people reporting they were supposed to be at the crime scenes that night are coincidences or faulty memory.

Kind of like the dozens of people who claim they were supposed to be at Sharon Tate's house the night of the Manson Murders.

JMO, that didn't happen. Wagners wouldn't have tipped anyone else about the murders. They were able to keep it a secret among themselves for nearly 3 years after the murders. All the people reporting they were supposed to be at the crime scenes that night are coincidences or faulty memory.

Kind of like the dozens of people who claim they were supposed to be at Sharon Tate's house the night of the Manson Murders.

Yes, she seems to have a legit reason for having to cancel that night. Someone asked her to baby-sit and she needed the cash. It would be really wrong to suggest she knew about the murders in advance.

LE has spent 3 years investigating all the victims' relatives and came up with nothing. That happened, IMO, because the Wagners first called police and told them the family members were guilty. It's even been theorized that one of the Wagners arranged to have James Manley purchase the red pick up truck that LE later said was involved in a homicide. At various times they tried to frame James, his wife April, his sister, Bobbi Jo and Kenneth's daughter, Kendra. Locals were naive enough to believe the Wagners for a long time because, after all, they were like "local royalty".

Remember Sheriff Reader's remark about "all the lies they told us".

Builds a bit off your comment of theorizing they may have arranged for JM to purchase the truck. I think they may have arranged a few things.

It's possible that the Ws might have orchestrated some people not showing that night, but not out of concern for the lives of the innocent. Instead, it would have been out of concern for themselves. At a certain point, it becomes a logistics problem for the Ws, as each additional person on- scene adds greater risk and the opportunity that someone would escape, get to a weapon... Just a possibility.

It's possible. It will be interesting to see what turns up in the trials. LE has collected evidence from cell phones, email accounts, etc. I doubt they would have told people they were going to kill the Rhodens and HG, they would have needed some other excuse to warn people away.

There were so many stories going around after the murders that seemed to point fingers at other family members of the victims. Lots of endless rumors on social media about James Manley discovering his sister's body, spreading fake suspicion about his sister BJM discovering the other bodies. JMO, that was all false information spread by the Wagners.

Remember Len Manley talking about how police came and woke them up in the middle of the night after the murders and took them down for questioning? They asked BJM "how much money did you get to kill your family?" JMO, all of the fake tips related to that came from the "local royalty" the Wagners.

I totally agree with you about mothers and daughters talking about everthing. My own mom died when I was very young so no first hand experience there, but my daughter and i talk about every detail of everyday, that is us, what we do. My niece and sil are the same. Actually my son and i are very close and talk alot about day to day details as well, just not everyday like my daughter and i do.

I do not have that type of relationship w/my mother, never have, but I love my mother. She's a wonderful little woman , but in no alternate universe can I see, that I'd discuss a large majority of my life, with my mother, and it goes without saying, an idea for HER to play a role in helping me murder eight people. She'd think I'd gone out of my head if I approached her with something like that. Exorcism. My father would definitely think I'd lost my marbles. I can hear him now...

I talk/text with two of my kids almost every day, and see one of them very often. The private one, we travel together, go to concerts together, etc... but, I don't know every detail of that one's life. The other one,(The entertainer), I know far too many details of their life, I've even told them, TMI, but they have no filter. I know the good, the bad, and the ugliest. If either of them, though, even thought for a second, that it would be copacetic to approach me with aiding them, in any way, toward murdering eight people, I'd think toward having them committed.
