It's hard to know for sure. For whatever reason, I don't think the W's and Rita were close enough they would have shared their plans to kill the Rhoden/Gilley family. Rita probably saw and heard a lot before the murders that, afterwards, made her realize who the killers were. That may have been the case with a number of people close to the families and explains why LE kept pushing people to talk. Early on, though, the people everyone thought had information actually didn't.

There's something about the way attention was diverted from the W's for so long, the way they received sympathetic media coverage to indicate FW did figure it out after the murders and did her part to divert suspicion elsewhere. We all know Angela spent a lot of time and effort on it, she was the most visible defender.

How do we know that LE were diverted onto anyone/group other than the W's? My guess is that they had to follow certain potential ideas/suspects til they eliminated them.

I believe that JW would have been in that group from day one. LM said child custody in an online news video at the very beginning. BCI had an obligation to follow any leads the W's gave them but they kept their eyes on the W's that first year too. jmo

It's G4's former sil. CH, is TBW's sister. CH spoke to Oxygen. The M's pastor appears to have spoken to them, and a friend of CR2 (she has him as her friend on FB).

Yes, she seems to have a legit reason for having to cancel that night. Someone asked her to baby-sit and she needed the cash. It would be really wrong to suggest she knew about the murders in advance.

LE has spent 3 years investigating all the victims' relatives and came up with nothing. That happened, IMO, because the Wagners first called police and told them the family members were guilty. It's even been theorized that one of the Wagners arranged to have James Manley purchase the red pick up truck that LE later said was involved in a homicide. At various times they tried to frame James, his wife April, his sister, Bobbi Jo and Kenneth's daughter, Kendra. Locals were naive enough to believe the Wagners for a long time because, after all, they were like "local royalty".

Remember Sheriff Reader's remark about "all the lies they told us".

I don't think anyone is suggesting that any family knew in advance. But that doesn't mean that the Ws could not have orchestrated a situation to have fewer people involved so that the scenes would be more manageable for them.

Yes. He would have had black hair at the time of the funerals. IIRC, the black hair photo showed up on his Facebook page not long after the murders.

IIRC, when I saw the pic of him with black hair and someone had commented (ad lib here) about when did you dye your hair and he answered something about 3 weeks ago and I remember looking at the calendar and going back 3 weeks from the date of that post and it came out to within days after the murders taking place. JMO.

Owen called the article by the Cincinnati Enquirer a “hatchet job” and said he and Wagner were not given adequate time to respond to all the allegations included in the article, particularly because Wagner was on house arrest and didn’t have immediate access to records that were more than ten years old.

Has anyone watched the very end of Fredricka pre trial when she gets up out of her chair and gives AC a look to kill JMO please let me know what you think.

In going back through and reading some of the posts about the case on social media, there are some posts that I can almost see AW or JW typing away composing them. I am very interested to see the digital evidence that is presented at trial. Just wondering how much of what they wrote might have been traced to them.
