I wonder what internet offerings they have there at those properties specifically. They are quite rural.
I think much of what we are talking about is WiFi and cloud based. Many rural areas still rely on satellite internet and I'm not sure if it has the same reliability or capability. I honestly don't know for sure. Just a curiosity.

Several locals interviewed on the news have talked about spotty cell phone reception in the areas outside of town. With a cell phone, you wouldn't have much choice but to go with the provider that had the best local reception. For security cameras, it always seemed more likely to me they had systems with local storage, but I could be wrong. They probably all have cable or dish out there.

Maybe some locals can provide more information...

Back in my earliest notes (like May/June ‘16) I wrote down some information from an article that I believe was an interview with LM. In my notes LM said “They took all the cameras except one, they missed the one in the birdhouse.” I wrote his words in quotes so I didn’t imagine it but I didn’t save the link. I’m now trying to find that link so for now this is my theory but I know I read this somewhere.

"Chris had one even in a bird house, one of those shell cameras. We ain't heard on none of that either. Kenneth had cameras all over that place where he lived," Manley said.

That's my thinking also. Local storage on SIM cards, VCR's or DVR's.

Not knowing what specifically is available there, I can share with you an example from another rural area.

Someone was having a lot of trouble with theft. High speed internet or other security systems many think of are not available in that rural area. All they could do was purchase cameras from Walmart and Amazon and place them in various locations. You can add as many cameras as you want but they have to be wired in and the footage is stored locally. Some cameras such as trail cams are not in the wired system and use sim cards which are only checked every so often.

Just an example of how things sometimes are in rural areas. There is no Brinks, ADT, etc.

Here is a quick search example which may explain it a bit better:

Billy Wagner was arrested in Lexington, Kentucky, without incident. A TV station in that area said he was found hiding inside a horse trailer attached to a pickup truck on property near an equine farm.

Angela Wagner was arrested at her home in Scioto County, and Jake and George Wagner were arrested in a traffic stop in Ross County.

Later Tuesday, two others — Fredericka Wagner, the mother of Billy Wagner, and Rita Newcomb, the mother of Angela Wagner — were arrested and charged with helping to cover up the crimes. DeWine said repeatedly there is no evidence that anyone else other than the Wagners who are in jail were involved.

DeWine said the Wagners' apparent motivation all along — he said evidence showed they started planning the homicides in January 2016 — was the children.
Betty if the FBI arrested Billy wouldn’t that be federal charges?

Sorry Betty the FBI didn’t arrest him it was Lexington and state police, so did BCI have wire taps to indicate that Billy and Robin where going to Lexington, that way the BCI could have all the warrants in place for Kentucky state troopers to detain and ready to serve when they made the arrest?

Offering this on the horse trailer:
Initial reports said he was hiding in the back of his horse trailer when arrested but Lexington police told The Dispatch Monday that wasn’t true. He was taken into custody without incident. His sister, Robin Wagner, who has sat in the front row for each of her relatives’ recent hearings, was with him at the time. She hasn’t been charged.

Are we allowed to pose a question about the August 15, 2018 Ohio Uniform Incident Report listed in AW's discovery?

"An incident is defined as one or more offenses committed by the same offender, or group of offenders acting in concert, at the same place and time.

The concept of acting in concert provides: that the offenders actually commit or assist in the commission of a crime(s). The offenders must be aware of, and consent to, the commission of the crime(s); or even if nonconsenting, their actions assist in the commission of the offense(s).

The concept of the same time and place provides: if more than one crime was committed by the same person or group of persons and the time and place intervals seperating them were insignificant, all of the crimes make up a single incident."

Yes, we were just looking at some aerial photos of KR's place a couple weeks ago and you could see the faucet for the well, water hose, etc. around. He was set up ok there, probably fine for him. Electricity, water, WiFi, storage shed, room for working on cars, etc. The articles about the history of the Rhoden family mentioned the little yellow house on UHR they all grew up in didn't have running water for many years. They were used to hauling water, having a wood stove, etc. We had a weekend cabin growing up with a similar set up - no indoor plumbing, no hot water heater, wood stove, etc. You adapt.

I don't remember reading about this and I can't find it thru WS search option. Are there photos of KR's place that I can see?

My nephew laughed at me when I asked him if the burnt VCR could have been part of the camera system. This was a couple of weeks ago.

A year after the murders LM said they hadn't heard about the cameras including the shell camera in the birdhouse. However, it's possible the killers didn't take the birdhouse shell camera and what LM means is they were never told what was found on it.

"......He also said at least two of the properties where the crimes were committed were equipped with surveillance cameras, but investigators haven't said if they found anything on the footage.

"Chris had one even in a bird house, one of those shell cameras. We ain't heard on none of that either. Kenneth had cameras all over that place where he lived," Manley said........ "

Do you think that LE has audio surveillance at Fredericka house every scene the 2017 search?

BBM

But still you would hesitate long enough to give them a chance to explain. No one wants to pull the trigger on someone they have known for years, argument or no. As everyone has stated Jake was virtually a member of the family for years. Him and Hanna broke up less than a year before. I can see Kenny giving him a chance to explain why he was there. It only takes a minute of hesitation to get you killed if your visitor is so inclined.

But if I heard someone in advance, in the night, unexpected, in my home, they'd have a red dot on them, when they entered my room. They'd know I was armed. No one in the R/HHG family seemed to ever get that far, w/the possible exception of CR1.

I doubt that CGraves of all people was the only one who had communications being intercepted.

Good call. It probably was during the search that her house was wiretapped. Numerous conversations were picked up on wiretap, or as AC says: "Confidential Reliable Source."

Some people think the source is a person and some think wiretaps. I think wiretaps because I do not believe the Wagner's would talk in front of anyone except Fred. I find it a stretch to think the Wags had multiple revenge and escape conversations in front of an outsider. They are too enmeshed for that.

Only my opinion and I could be wrong of course, there could be a surprise witness.
Question:
If a person is going to testify as a witness for the prosecution, like in the 4 Wagner's trials, would they be allowed to sit in the Court Gallery at the Wagner 4's Pre-Trial Hearings?
Notice you never see certain relatives there.
