I'd be willing to bet that if he got a job, any kind of job in Pike County, he wouldn't be alive long enough to kill anybody else! Wonder who paid who off to come up with the not guilty verdict?? I have trouble believing anybody smart enough to breathe is that stupid!

That lady that did that article is from California. I don't take total faith in all she says. People in Pike County don't like talking about these murders cause they are scared. After what happened in court down there today, it may just shut every hope down of arrests in this case.

JJ killed two people in separate occasions shortly after He became a deputy. One he was intoxicated. One on duty, one not. Neither of the two killed were armed.
The MAX they say he will get on the second one in 9 months AND a chance to work LE again, in different jurisdiction.
The one today...not guilty all counts.

Is the following comment, in your opinion, supportive of the action of the Sheriff?

"You have two children in foster care who have not had contact with their families in eight months. That's a travesty,'' said the Rev. Phil Fulton, the pastor of Union Hill Church

No opinion on the comment above from the Pastor?

I appears to me as if he is openly questioning the decision of the Sheriff. He has a big influence on his community.

I am also disturbed by the fact he seems to take pride in his arrests while defending the display of the 10 commandments.

I understand the law of the Lord is above the law of the men. Is he expectating emulation? A zealous nut could really take his word for it.

BJM is the most important witness in this case.* Has anyone considered the people of influence around her?

I am also careful with the "Hazlitt K.Hale" story. However it is a real eye opener on the character of BJM and her environment.

1) She is described as "naive" , "having the heart of a kid" , "working for friendship". Immediatly questions come up:

- does she have many friends?*
- does she have children like most women of her age?
- does she work?
- does she behave like an adult?

If she doesn't behave like an adult, it may explain why her father is quoted as unsure of her age.

2) it's was reported LE asked her how much she was paid for the crime. Please someone help me with a link.

Now I find this question from LE very interesting for a woman who "works for friendship" rather than money.

Did LE find this question relevant in the context* where she made the discovery with her "friends" accompanying her? Whom she could work for?

Where did she meet these friends? What were they doing with her at 7-8 am feeding animals at CR1?

Don't forget BJM was described as "retarded" more than once! And it was said early on she waits for her daughter to get on the bus every morning then heads out to feed the animals! I highly doubt this woman actually has any type of handicap.

I haven't read "retarded" . I read "naive". Are you saying the story is fabricated?

Why do you think she goes there regularly to do this? Doesn't she have anything else to do? Why would LE ask if she was paid for the crime?

What is your take on her?

Have you considered that this story could be true and that she could possibly be manipulated ?

I just took it that he sees it as another tragedy in the bigger tragedy of the murders. As for the 10 commandments arrest, I'd guess there would be a number of pastors around here who would consider it an honor to be arrested over the same thing. BJM also thinks that she is safe w/her parents. If two grown men weren't safe, then I'd venture to guess that a physically disabled LM, and his wife, can't protect her. I see your point though about her naivety as LM calls it, but, if anything the people around her may be to her detriment. She went to take a lie detector by herself, w/o even getting, or consulting, a lawyer. Personally, I'd be consulting a lawyer.

I don't think he is questioning the decision of the sheriff. I think he is just saying what it is, that it's terrible that these children are not with family.

As for BJM, has anyone here seen a photo of her? A video interview?? I'm not finding anything online. I know and understand she has a right to privacy. But, I'm the kind of person who likes to have a photo of a person who is being discussed. I always have to picture things and people.

It's understandable, to me at least, for LM to not remember her age. I find from experience that fathers, in general, are not as likely to get their kids ages, date of birth, or even names right. My opinion is that it's just that they are not bonded to the child in the same way a mother is bonded to a child. I've not had any biological kids of my own, but I would imagine that it would be burned into my brain the day I had to have a child push it's way out of that, ahem, part of the body.

The story I read from the Hazlitt said she was "retarded", I thought I read that anyway. Maybe We are thinking of 2 different articles. And yes, I absolutely believe anything is possible in this case. I definitely do not think the Manley family has any money to pay someone to kill 8 people. Within the first week or so, I thought it was more than coincidental that she showed up with other people and discovered all this. I found it odd that they paid someone to feed the animals when they have so many people living within a walks distance to the property. At this point, I don't have anyone pinpointed because there are so many coincidences in this case. Lt. Joe Kenda would say there are 3 motives for murder, sex, money or revenge . And then you have those that have no motive at all. This case could fall into any of those categories.

I thought it shed more light on BJM too. BJM does have children. One born in 1998, and one born in 2002. She's never been married. She can drive, and she and her children have lived on their own. One of her FB profiles stated she worked at McD's. I don't think she's retarded, probably just backward. Her dad also said she had a "big heart", which I took, along with the author's statement that "she worked for friendship", to mean that she would help folks out, for free, maybe to her detriment. I've often wondered about the two friends there that morning too. They've flown under the radar as far as being mentioned publicly. Why? As for LM not remembering her age, idk, most folks know their child's age no matter how immature that they seem. I could see him thinking a bit, or giving a sibling's age, if it were a family of twelve, but there were only four of them. Some folks don't take much stock in birthdays though.

A man in the story said the bodies were found by the "retarded" one, and that they thought that the "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" did it.

She has several FB profiles. There were two that had photos. They may both still be up. One said she worked at McDonald's but I'm not sure if that's still accurate.

Yes, it was in the Hazlitt article somebody called BJ restarted. At least, in my opinion, she might be a little slow, but certainly not retarted. Leonard may have not known for certain if Chris was paying her or not.
I'm sure she could be manipulated somewhat, but she does know right from wrong. If you want to see what she looks like, just type her name in your search bar.

P.S. In an early thread,(1,2, or 3), something was said that it was believed the couple with her was an aunt and uncle. However, this was never confirmed, as their name was never mentioned, to my knowledge.

OK. I was referring to LMs words reported by K.Hale. I am ready to believe she reported properly LMs quote

It's not because other pastors would do the same that I find it less disturbing.

You know, there are people who believe in this world that some form of preaching can be toxic and manipulative. I'll come back on this later.

One last thing about the church: I read somewhere that Reader spoke in Church and said "someone in here knows something" . Does someone have a link.

My guess :
- supported by lawyer
- not someone in the close family circle. Almost all have been interviewed by reporters

I agree. My feeling from what I read is she could be a weak or fragile person

I don't really see her as a weak or fragile person. Possibly manipulated by someone who she thought/thinks cared for her and her children? Yes. I'm strictly going off of feelings of her own words and actions and the description of the locals and her father calling her naive. A weak or fragile person wouldn't have gone into that trailer and raised that cover, nor went further, into FR's trailer. I know women, and men, who'd have had a total meltdown at the first trailer. Her own brother refused to go in and get the infant who he heard crying, because he didn't want to see his niece like that. How'd he know for sure that his niece was deceased? She could have been clinging to life. I think that BJM is just backward. I've known people like her and they're not what I'd call fragile but would do anything for someone they thought cared about them. Do people use them? Unfortunately, yes. Sometimes they do.

You could be right on the two people with her, but so many folks saw them there, I'd have thought their names would have leaked out by now. Their names are likely out there in the "T" world but I try to steer clear of that place.

I have a CNN transcript where Dewine said, on the 24th of April, that "someone out there knows something" No matter how insignificant they think that it is, they should still call in their tip. Your comment about Reader sounds familiar but I don't have a link.

The preacher could be, what I'd call, respectfully, a bit over zealous, but, being from this region, I'm used to that. I don't necessarily agree with everything that they do/say, but, I overlook it. It's just normal to me. I think he means well. Not all of them are quite as outspoken as him. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, and I'm not putting down, or against, the evangelical religions. They just get a bit more personal, and outspoken, sometimes (in my experience).
