Not saying that all. Just wondering why Wagner’s took him out of the county when they live ten minutes from from two nursing homes. But now I think about it may be West Union where he was.
Thank you Myland, bbm, as I stated before, "Why are you asking questions when you already know the answers?" Do you have a link? And what DO YOU THINK it means or implies?
All the "what ifs," while somewhat entertaining fodder (for some I suppose), will wear on the patience of a jury. I think choosing a nursing home outside of the county, is no more significant than choosing a dentist or a vet in another county. But again, I think you already know the answer.

DUDLY Thank you for the reminder. My earlier post on "damage/changes/marks" on bullets found during an autopsy was from the Dana Ewell murder case in which home-made silencers were used in the murder of Glee, Tiffany & Dale Ewell. I am sorry that I did not originally attach a link. I just wanted fellow sleuths and readers to know, LE can tell a lot about a bullet and attachments to the weapon, even if they do not have the actual device. I believe LE knew something was not right about the bullets, ie, something other than discharge of a weapon without attachments. Attachments alter bullets, and perhaps that info was kept quiet until the "attachments" were found on Oct. 30th.
It was on Forensic Files-Season 11, Episode 40. Narrator:
"
And the bullets looked like they had been fired

through more than just the barrel of a gun.

-These bullets went through something

that marked then unlike any normal gun barrel.

And it could be a flash suppressor, sound suppressor,

silencer or something along that line."

Forensic Files - Season 11, Ep 40: Two in a Million with English subtitles (closed captions) and transcript

We really need to keep to verifiable facts from reputable sources and media or LE reports with links. If we get into the rumor mill, we won't be any better than the sites people complain about. Opinions are fine if stated as such. We've posted tons of them in two years. A few of us have been stood in the corner for posts that Moderators didn't allow. We've come too far to muddy the waters.

I don’t really understand this vehicle and blood in the vehicle topic. Are y’all surmising the perps jumped in the truck after the murders and had blood all over their clothes? And the blood seeped into the upholstery?
The new owner of the excursion which was purchased from AW 6 months after the murders had some information below a share of a media article about the murders on sm.

That link came up ERROR
It just told me the same. BUT it was there prior to this morning. Maybe it was removed by the LE or something to protect the integrity of the case.

Could someone please explain what a silencer is and how it’s put together? What does it look like? I’m having a hard time guessing what this “stuffing” might be.

Here is one version:

I got the error message the first time I tried it but it worked on the second try. Maybe server trouble on their end, or removed.

Rickshaw, I believe there were seat covers involved, according to the photo shown on sm. Also pieces of carpet. Now I must say, afaik.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We can be thankful that these monsters have been arrested & can be brought to justice.

Prior to arrests no one wanted to even say Rhodens very loud. People may wisper what do you think, but mostly no mention. Now it’s what do think about them Wagner’s then they state their opinion on the Wagner’s and it’s I found it hard to believe or I am shocked and etc.

I can see that some of the locals who have known the W's for many years would be shocked. It's like when your trusted dog you have had for years suddenly turns and attacks you. You don't want to believe it. Even those of us not from the area and who do not know the W's are shocked at the motive to go door to door and kill an entire family.

The W's have been around for a long time and are a prominent family who have employed and rented houses to a lot of people in the area. But that is only one side of them. I am betting there are some of the locals around there that have seen a much darker side of the W's over the years.

There is also a huge mistrust of law enforcement in that area. People don't trust LE and they know or have had dealings with the W's so I can see why at first they would be unbelieving and think LE had the wrong people in jail.

But as the trial goes on and more evidence gets out into the public I think the locals are going to be even more shocked. I think even some of the W's family will be shocked by what comes out at trial. But they will eventually accept what happened.

Like DeWine said it is a bizarre crime.

JMO bigger than custody

Reader said it was bigger that a MJ grow, bigger than a few stolen cars. I think even Reader was shocked at first as to the reason the R's were killed. Remember Reader is from the area also. I think he had a really hard time wrapping his head around the reason for the brutal door to door slayings of an entire family. But eventually the evidence was too overwhelming and grim reality replaced shock.

And even if they covered the entire inside surfaces of the vehicle, sort of like a moving Dexter-mobile; plastic slips and slides aside and, in this case, especially if numerous people are going to be in and out of the vehicle numerous times while in a hurry. I put down drop cloths to protect surfaces when I'm painting but the paint still manages to get onto surfaces that I thought I had protected, including myself. But, why are we talking about blood in the vehicle? Is this an MSM report (can't imagine the prosecution sharing this info) or is it SM or is it just a theory? I haven't read about this anywhere.

I think it was some comment on an SM page about LE taking carpet samples from a vehicle the W's sold to someone after the murders.

But even at that we all know the W's have to have some mode of transportation to and from the crime scenes. So the discussion of blood in a vehicle is relevant.

IMO maybe they bought moccasin slippers from Walmart. For all that sneaking creeping behavior they were planning. I wear a pair, they don't make a sound unless I drag my feet. Mine do have a pattern on the soles though.

I thought maybe they bought a type of waterproof boot, like a rain boot. That way they could wash them off to avoid tracking blood in the vehicle.

That would be logical. I tend to believe they would have had blood on their clothes as well. IIRC, both Gary and Frankie had point blank GSW’s to the head which would produce a significant amount of blood spatter blowing back on the trigger puller. The trigger puller had to be relatively close to each victim. Considering that along with the indictments having charges for moving Chris and Gary, the defendants would have most likely had blood also on their hands (probably gloved). JMO.

Can I ask what your theory is as to who murdered these 8 people, please? I'm just curious.

LE ARRESTED THE RIGHT PEOPLE. I THINK THERE MAY BE MORE AS IN THE JOHN DOE IN THE INDICTMENTS.
I think the question of who did it is at this point and time MOOT.

The subject came up although there is no reference to the subject from any "legitimate source" that I know of. The discussion was about the possibility of blood being in the vehicle used in the murders and how that blood would prove nothing or might help with "reasonable doubt" since the Rhodens might have innocently left their blood in the vehicle; seeing as how the families were all friends at one time. Ideas about the subject bounced around for awhile... speculations, opinions...
I've added the words JMO which appears at the end of all my posts automatically but, for my part, I should also add that "JMO" again each time I make any comment while I'm speculating about anything. Sorry if this was confusing to you, which would be understandable.

Silencers, how do they work? - Geek.com

You can see now that the bullet passes through an additional chamber (the silencer) attached to the barrel of the gun. When a silencer is made at home, that chamber's outer edges are tightly packed with some sort of material such as steel wool to absorb sound. The silencer chamber allows a path for the bullet to pass through but some of that packing or "sound absorbent material" can be expelled along with a bullet due to the high pressure that results when the gun is fired. I would think, with each additional firing of the gun, a little more packing would be expelled each time due to the repeated stress of hot gas expansion and vibration exerted on the silencer's packing material. Just a guess but I think it's likely there was quite a bit of this material to be found by LE when they examined the last home location of the murders... maybe a little bit more each home and in the wounds of the victims, so it would be easy for LE to determine the order of the killings . This last thought is just speculation but makes sense IM lay person O.
ETA, It would be possible for the silencer, used repeatedly, to even come apart and that may be why a "part" was left behind by the killers.

Hypothetically speaking and only theory, what if suspected blood was found not only on the driver’s side of the vehicle, but the passenger side as well as the backseat area. How would one explain a murder victims blood in multiple areas of a vehicle owned by the defendants? That’s next to impossible to explain, IMHO.

Easy. A passenger hands a person in the backseat a tissue for a bloody nose. The person in the backseat hands in back for the person in the passenger seat to throw it away.

It gets a little hinky when blood from multiple murder victims are found.

All of that said, there is nothing to say that there wasn't some other trace evidence they were looking for-- carpet samples, mud, pollen, dog hair, human hair, fluff from a silencer, etc.
