Thank you for visiting our page and helping us to find our precious Samantha.
As you read through the posts you will not only meet so many people who Samantha has touched but you will be left with questions. We would like to attempt to help with those... Unfortunately even with the answers provided here you will still be confused... As we are.
1. The family HAS BEEN ACTIVELY searching for Sam since DAY ONE, we are bound by law and cannot just walk into people's houses or on their property. When we are given tips we send them to the Detectives because if we, as civilians, show up it may tip someone off. However the police can enter, we cannot. And unfortunately we DO NOT know where all the police have looked.
2. The family have been ACTIVELY pursuing and talking to dozens if not hundreds of people trying to piece this together even though we have NO IDEA who the police have already talked to. This is a 24 hr exhaustive effort spanning her ENTIRE FAMILY.
3. The Police investigation into Sam's disappearance is a VERY DELICATE process so the police have been VERY TIGHT LIPPED and has ONLY provided the family with a few details. And the family has been INSTRUCTED TO NOT DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION AT THIS TIME!
4. Why would the police instruct the family to not disclose? The family doesn't know however it CAN be for several reasons.
A] They may feel they are close to finding Sam and the police finding her is less traumatic to the family and the community than massive search parties.
B] Any information that is "leaked" out could make it's way to others involved and they run, or to the suspects families that may be hiding something... This could result in precious EVIDENCE BEING DESTROYED!
C] There's a possibility that a defense attorney could use "leaked" information to help the suspects get a lighter sentence.
5. Yes, the family from their own investigations and what the police have told them know more however for the reasons above they are not CONFIRMING anything until they are given the approval or deem appropriate.
6. The family understands the community's frustration and THEY are a thousand times more frustrated. They by NO MEANS are trying to "hide" anything, IN FACT they have posted the mugshots and provided the names of the people arrested THUS FAR that are involved to try to HELP the community understand that THIS IS NOT A RUNAWAY that Samantha's disappearance NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
7. The police DID issue a Media Release stating that Sam's disappearance is under "Suspicious Circumstances"
8. Yes an individual is charged with Gross Abuse of a Corpse. However Sam is still MISSING? How can that be? Here are several possibilities.
A] The easiest possibility... He may be talking and has placed himself in whatever circumstance that resulted in the charge.
B] There could be evidence to prove that death had occurred... Forensics have come a long way. They can test for evidence of human decomposition, there could be signs that significant blood loss occurred known as exsanguination, there are several ways.
C] Research "corpus delicti" and "exsanguination" and look into People v. Scott. Where the court upheld "circumstantial evidence, when sufficient to exclude every other reasonable hypothesis, may prove the death of a missing person, the existence of a homicide and the guilt of the accused"
9. Well does that mean she's passed away? WHAT WE DO KNOW is she is NOT HOME, SHE IS STILL MISSING! So look EVERYWHERE for Samantha. Look in lighted places and dark places, look in the mall and look in the woods... LOOK EVERYWHERE.
10. Please don't say "If this were my family member I'd say screw the police and put a search party together" because the truth is YOU DON'T KNOW. In this position you are forced with several scenarios... "What if the suspect is about to tell us where she is but chickens out once they hear it's getting attention?"
11. This page will update you on ANY updates that the FAMILY feel are in the BEST INTEREST IN FINDING SAMANTHA. Rest assured that we will not let her be forgotten. If she is not found soon we will inform the community of the SEARCH PARTY.
12. Lastly... If you are here to defend any of the accused your comments will be documented and then removed... Open your own damn page and STAY OFF OF OURS!!!
