„Police have filed felony charges against the parents of a 2-year-old girl who died after she was found outside in freezing temperatures.

Both 22-year-old Tierra Williams and 24-year-old Dariaun Parker have been charged with felony child endangering in the death of Wynter Parker. The two are scheduled to appear in court Friday.“

Wasn't it said the mother was at work? Or am I confusing this with another case? :thinking:

Investigators said Wynter's father, who works a night shift, fell asleep while he was watching the girl . The mother left Wynter in the father's care for approximately two hours while she was out of the house with a 4-year-old child, police said.

You know, I’m at my wits end with these children deaths. I’m afraid this just takes the cake. Seriously, do you know how awful that would be to FREEZE to DEATH? I seriously want to sterilize parents like this

I'm guessing that they feel she should have known leaving Wynter with a Dad who hadn't slept could lead to her injury. That it would have been far more reasonable to take both kids with her and let him sleep. I'm inclined to agree, however I know I'm the exception to the rule. We have kind of a 50's family, I do 95% of child care. So I'm guessing that the prior reports about the kids being unattended probably has something to do with it.
