OH OH - Shasta Himelrick, 20, pregnant, Richmond Dale, 26 Dec 2014

I think the inheritance has something to do with it. We're talking 5 figures gone in a matter of months. Nothing to show for it. The women were friends or had mutual friends involved in drugs. Drug use leads to other crimes to pay for it. If she was regularly drug tested I really doubt she was using again but did any of her friends who are using know about the inheritance?

Oh my maybe she paid for others to get their needs..........anyone know if she bough BF expensive things?
Let's hope there is a money trail for LE to work with! Maybe her grandma knows what happened to all the money.
say for example $5,000.........paying rent, utilities and food, drugs and entertainment .............4 months........goes quick if people take advantage of her.
at 20 she was very naive' maybe about certain people?

I've heard she was very sweet and trusting. This from respectable, law abiding people. I wonder if she's easily influenced and got mixed up with the wrong crowd? I don't think the family has any idea where the money went.

I know a lot of pretty girls (and some guys really too) who are hooked on drugs and never paid a dime for them. They get their friends to buy it for them and use with them or trade things for drugs.

Is there a question as to if she was really pregnant or just SOP?

I'd like to know how the two front seats were positioned and more specifically the driver seat. Shasta was only 5'4", not a tall girl. Was the driver seat pulled forward closer to the steering wheel or was it set further back?

Maybe this would tell us who was driving... and if it was the perp driving MAYBE there was an altercation and she injured the other party leaving DNA evidence in the car, it may be part of the motive for the killing too, maybe there was an argument she hit the person responsible and that made the perp angry which lead to her murder?

anyone else thinking this was a blotched murder?
leaving stuff in car, shoes off to look like suicide?
never thought of blood evidence etc left behind?
hoping for finger prints etc

was he car really borrowed? or was the 'friend' with her that night?
We have so many questions, I can't imagine what her loved ones are going through.
Has this case and the other women make national news yet???

Do we know which type of dog found her scent trail on the bridge? Ground or air? The whole scene with the doors open and shoes close by makes me think two were involved. One in the back seat, one in passenger seat. If she was knocked out and carried, her shoes may have fallen off then. I wish we knew what items they found on the bridge at the end of the scent trail.

That is what I would like to know. We have a huge hole in the timeline from when she was last seen on surveillance (3:15 am) and when her car was found (7:15 am or 7:30 am, both those times have been reported). Depending on what route she drove and how fast she was driving, it's a 15-20 minute drive from the gas station to the Higby and Three Locks Road intersection.

That leaves a window of roughly 4 hours that we don't where she may have gone? Who she may have picked up or met up with? I am more inclined as of right now to believe whatever took place that night, happened much closer to the time she was last seen rather then when the car was found.

It sure looks like something, and not a voluntary drowning IMHO. I sure hope LE follows through and doesn't write SH off as a runaway or drug addict. Some type of nefarious crime. Who texted her right before she left grandma's house? And this will be the boyfriend's second deceased girlfriend in less than one year.

Has her death been announced as a murder?

Long-time GF, 26, and the mother of his 3 children, passed in late March 2014; funeral held in April 2014. The 3 children are living with the GF's father.

How unlucky can you get to lose 2 GF the same year? Interesting comments on her FB page for sure.

I don't think so. It was said to be a "crime scene" according to LE but suicide is considered a crime too, not that I think she committed a suicide though.

We do not have much to work with. I agree she was deceased shortly after arriving at the 3 locks intersection area IMOO

Did they say who found the car? passerby? LE? was there a 911 call..............

I wonder if it is postponed for now. My understanding is when a homicide is suspected- the body isn't released right away. Correct me if I am wrong. Maybe the family didn't realize that. Just guessing.
