Although I would give the injection myself if asked, the only advantage of the death penalty is to use as a negotiation tool by procecutors with these nonhuman creatures for unknown victims or victim locations. A DP inmate gets many perks that the general population of a prison doesn't; notoriety, field trips to appeals court for decades, private cells, extra security, etc. The list is long and seldom is the executions carried out. Many, if not most death row inmates die of natural causes while waiting. Serial killer Richard Ramirez; night stalker<CA> died last year on death row. A FL death row inmate executed last year was on death row for 33 years..
Yes, whimdriven, an overbearing mother, stepmother, or grandmother will likely be revealed, imo. Imo, JDW was an active sexual predator since adolescence. Most killers are caught when the first begin killing. After a couple of kills, if not apprehended, these recidivist predators gain cinfidence and begin honing their skills and establish their rules of prey to evade detection.
Due to the increase in investigative resources, advancements in CSI, forensics technology, law enforcement, training, databases, etc. Most killers do not make it to serial killer status in the 21st century.before they are identified and brought to justice.
