JW is potentially facing the death penalty. He passed on a deal. He presents a couple of creepers in his defense... and that's it?

It seems that he would rather trade his life than just own up to what he did. That amazes me.

I don't anticipate it taking the Jurors long for a verdict but with all the charges the paper work can take a bit.

As with most Capital cases, it's my opinion that they go to trial with overwhelming evidence just to get a mistrial, or basis for state funded appeal (s), on what happens during the case as far as evidence. I also am disappointed that the judge said what hotel they were staying at. If media interference happens, more than one of the jurors might be disqualified. I just don't think that was a good decision by the judge to announce it.

Many a case Defense is short due to all the evidence the State has. Last thing Defense wants to do is bring attention to State's evidence. All they can do is see to it he gets a fair trial. If this Jury finds him Guilty of aggravated murder then typically Defense has more to add at Penalty phase. Harping on mitigating factors. Then they will be fighting for his life. As much as I hate it! IMO

It makes me sick to my stomach to know one of people who is testifying for the defense. I really wish they could live stream for the rest of the trial. I wonder if they will be able to have live feed for the verdict?

Who is it? I don’t mean to be nosey... just wondering if I know them?

I can only remember 2 places in Wauseon that had rental cars. I can't recall if there was one Delta.

Sometimes collision repair and/or mechanical repair shops set up rental cars. Just a possibility.

Defense called 2 witnesses today, both 40-Year friends of Worley. Both rode motorcycles with him. One says a few years ago he bought the helmet that has been entered as evidence in the case, added it was new at the time & did not have blood on it.#WorleyTrial

Second witness said he rode motorcycles with Worley, up to summer of 2016. Said Worley did have mechanical problems with motorcycle, but could usually get it going. Also said he saw marijuana drying in a barn on Worley property & watched videos w/ Worley #WorleyTrial

How were either of these witnesses helpful to the defense? Are they setting JW up to be able to claim he didn’t have a sufficient defense so he can get a new trial?

I’m VERY interested in what the plea deal was??

Did he have to admit to his “other crimes” and that’s why he passed it up?

Is the plea deal still on the table?

I know men watch , but to watch it together with another man!? I didn't think men did stuff like that together.

Are these two people just to raise reasonable doubt that another dude did it..ADDI... or they were involved. Which in my state would not matter in the least.

Or perhaps they were subpoenaed just because he was angry with them and he wanted to out them and throw them under the bus? Or at least the second person. How was either of their testimony helpful to the defense?

He cannot change his mind about not taking the deal at this point. He passed on it, that's that. I think, however, that the State can re-offer it, if they choose to, or make a new offer entirely.

I could see teen boys sneaking and watching together but not grown men. BUT the kind of that was being watched is NOT normal for anyone to view and enjoy, IMO. That’s very weird to me. Just another point to show he is a sick sick human, if you can even call evil like that human.

I’m baffled as to what the point was to the testimony today. I’m sure if we heard the testimony in it’s entirety it may make more sense?!?!?! Maybe they think when he is found guilty they can ask for him to be sent to a psychiatric facility if he doesn’t get the death penalty?? IMO that’s a long shot though.

It’s hard to get into a mind that evil.

I just read the article... I wondered why the defense never called their “expert witness” but they had intended on calling him during the sentencing phase, correct? Is that when the rest of their witnesses that were on the list will testify also? IE his sister?

(Damnit I can't recall that ) between flights . She was on a layover at Toledo Express Airport ((Swanton Ohio ) Never solved. I believe this was in the middle 80s? Anyone ?

and why would you bring in a friend to say he rode motorcycle's and watched with him! On a side note, it is super creepy in my opinion that these grown men sit around and watch together.

I agree, NEVER heard of "grown" men watching together?!

Maybe I am completely wrong here....BUT! could "the videos" they watched together be "videos" EVIL himself recorded of his victims?! "They all looked scared" per LE. MAYBE he was bragging to his friends?!

Yes I remember that.... maybe on the map of possible JW victims. When you click on the name there is a description as to the circumstances for some.
