When shown an image of Joughin's grave, James Worley turned the computer monitor away. His lawyer, Merle Dech, turned their monitor off

During the recent Michigan sentencing of Jeffrey Willis for the murder of Rebekah Bletsch, Willis informed his lawyer -- who informed the judge -- he wished to leave without hearing the victim impact statements. Then he walked out of the courtroom. It was heartbreaking for Rebekah's family members, who gave their statements anyway. BUT the sheriff made a CD of the statements and played it continuously as they drove Willis to begin serving his sentence. They played the cd 5 times I believe. I'm sorry but Worley has no right to turn off his monitor and refuse to see the outcome of his sick obsession and violent actions.

There is a small town newspaper in that area. Northwest Signal. He is a writer for them.

Hey Everyone,

Let's please stick to mainstream media twitter sources.

I removed several posts with some person's tweets and we can't decide if he is a troll or writes for a small newspaper.

Rather than try and figure that out it is better to stick to the sources that are solid.

Thanks,
Tricia

Lauren Lindstrom‏ @lelindstrom 32s33 seconds ago Brief flurry of activity, recess, when a assistant U.S. attorney interrupted testimony about Worley's computer contents. Defense had asked for entire contents released, but she told judge it can't be released w/o Dept. of Justice approval. We're back on

:shame: sorry folks

[h=1]Short recess called after U.S. Attorney official interrupts testimony about Worley's 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 searches Updated 3:18 p. m[/h]
Defense attorney Merle Dech asked Detective Morford if his testimony covered the entire history of Worley’s internet use. Mr. Morford said “no.” The defense attorney then asked if Mr. Morford had access to Worley’s computer. He said “yes,” and Mr. Dech asked if he could retrieve it from Toledo police on Thursday.
At that point, Angelita Bridges from the U.S. Attorney’s Office approached the bench and spoke with Judge Jeffrey Robinson, who then called a recess.
Ms. Bridges during the recess referred comment to U.S. Attorney spokesman Mike Tobin, who could not be immediately reached for comment.

?
Why would approval of the Dept. of Justice be needed?

I need some ideas here, because the first thing that comes to mind is that there is information about other victims on there, and I will drive myself nuts.

Please help - I have no idea if my thought is even remotely reasonable and would like some reasonable input from non-nearly-nuts peoples.

It's hard to read with a trial by print, but my mind went there immediately. It was an awfully long interruption/recess.

Was the defense trying to go on a fishing expedition with this inquiry?

When Worleys friend was on the stand he insisted that things be moved that were blocking his vision so that he could see his friend. Then when his friend left he turned around and watched him go. [emoji35]

I'd have been kick straight out of that jury pool, because how does this delusional lunatic think there is any room for any reasonable doubt, whatsoever?

could it be evidence of other crimes? Examples: other victims, use of computer to transfer images, use of “dark web” for commission of a crime ... ? I really don’t know, but feel it must be related to another possible charge in the future or to the commission of more crimes, whether against individuals or via use of the computers. Maybe they came across something not related to this csse, but that needs further investigation by another department?

My brain cells are swimming like crazy now :dunno:
