You mean Rockford is 90 miles west of Chicago, but you are right, it is definitely not a suburb of Chicago. Too far away.I think some of the confusion about where MM was recently living/where he was working/where his guns were may be due to some reporters using "Chicago" as if Rockford is just a Chicago suburb, ie oversimplification. Where I live, a few streets away from the actual Chicago boundary line, is a Chicago suburb--but Rockford is about 90 miles east of Chicago and a 90 minute drive(depending on time of day). So, I feel like there are more than a few reporters who are unfamiliar with Rockford/Illinois who assume it is just a suburb.
But some of the confusion also comes from him being arrested in Rockford, working at a medical practice/center/hospital in Rockford, but owning a fairly recently purchased condo in Chicago. Was he commuting daily with a round trip of 3 hours? Was he only coming in person to Rockford for surgeries a few days a week and handling other office business via Zoom from Chicago? Or did he rent an studio apartment out there where he stayed some of the time?
At this point so much of the reporting that is being done, even from Chicago outlets, is just basing itself off of the initial reporting (which was inaccurate in some ways), so it's hard to feel confident in the accuracy of location details in current articles.
Don't they all?Either that or perhaps he truly didn't think he would get caught. He may think he is the smartest one in the room and above the law.
I know it sounds ridiculous, especially b/c it was years ago. Im not saying he snapped over traffic stuff , its not just traffic offences, theyre minor, but there were enough of them that his license got suspended, having a suspended license for minor traffic stuff may have bothered him . Yes it’s very minor, but from the little info we do have, thats just one thing that may have fired him up years ago. And then it just keeps building . maybe it didnt even phase him but we dont have much to go ontraffic offences?
This is what Im saying, it’s a bunch of nothing burgers, that he may see as constant nuisances. I just dont get why this happened. No reason@kwins --Thanks for linking the 8/6/25 Order by United States Magistrate Judge!
Now that I read some background on the matter, IMO, this is a huge nothing burger relative to Michael McKee, and probably more about how one ambulance chaser attorney recently tried to capitalize on his own inability to serve a defendant-- allegedly hiding, albeit in plain sight!
This lawsuit is a claim by a prison inmate housed at Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC), proceeding with a civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Any State claims by the plaintiff were previously dismissed.
More specifically, plaintiff claimed a violation of his Eighth Amendment right -- deliberate indifference to serious medical needs against one Dr. McCullin.
Here, however, the Court appointed the plaintiff pro bono counsel for the LIMITED PURPOSE of obtaining medical records, identifying doctors and/or other defendants to add to an amended complaint.
On the date of this Order, the pro-se plaintiff was on his second amended complaint (SAC) against Dr. McCullin and others. The SAC asserted claims for deliberate indifference under the Eighth Amendment, negligence, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
IMO, a prison inmate seeking a cash grab from an insurer.
ETA: Footnote - McFee was technically dismissed from the suit on 4/7/25, and no substitution for this defendant was timely filed by plaintiff.
In other words, safe to say this Nevada lawsuit did not cause McFee to lose any sleep and/or murder his ex-wife and her husband.... JMO
That was for his medical license wasnt it?So he doesn't murder anyone else.

Just trying to figure out what could have built up over time to make him ( allegedly) kill 2 people and leave 2 kids without parents . I dont believe it as just a grudge, and if it was he should have often some help. Surely he had some inkling that he wasnt coping well
Yes, Illinois LicenseThat was for his medical license wasnt it?
SBMFF“I don’t think anyone thought that this was going to happen,” Spinale said. “I also don’t think that she ever thought he would leave her alone for the rest of her life.”

Friends say arrest in Tepe killings was no surprise
Gina Spinale, who said she had been friends with the Tepes for years, said many in the couple’s inner circle believed from the start they knew who was responsible.www.10tv.com
His license wasn't suspended because of the traffic offenses; it was briefly suspended because he had a bench warrant for a failure to appear and an unpaid citation. He was in the process of having the citation amended, which I say, good on him, but he failed to appear at the court date for the amended charges. This was a nothing burger because it wasn't until one month later that the bench warrant was issued. That's a long time, because normally a bench warrant is issued the day after your citation is due. Even after all of this, he still managed to have the charges amended because he received no points on his license.I know it sounds ridiculous, especially b/c it was years ago. I have the same questions.SBMFF
So what does this mean? I mean, I know what it means, but how was he not leaving her alone? Texts? Phone calls? Emails? Snail mail? Showing up out of the blue? What? I have a weirdo that sent me snail mail after not seeing me for like 5 yrs., so some people just can't let go. They are obsessed and it's not good. What does that comment mean? (that he wouldn't leave her alone for the rest of her life)
Yes I saw that, one was speeding, one was about a traffic signal violation one was a failure to appear over 3 yrs. Wasn’t sure if it was accumulated demerits or failure to appear, that got his license suspended, either way I just wanted to know why. Moreover that it wasn't for something more serious like a DUI or something. It’ also still could be a hassle whatever the reason. His license wasn't suspended because of the traffic offenses; it was briefly suspended because he had a bench warrant for a failure to appear and an unpaid citation. The suspension was lifted once the citation was paid, cancelling the bench warrant. In Ohio, a bench warrant is issued for unpaid fines, and your license is automatically suspended until you pay the fine.Yes I saw that, one was speeding, one was about a traffic signal violation one was a failure to appear over 3 yrs.
