OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025 *ex-husband arrested*

He would have seen his first mugshot before they took his second one. Maybe he didn't like the way he looked in it and tried for a different look in the second one.
Yup, someone gave him some hair gel…didn’t help. Just sayin. That sort of disgusts me that he would even think of how his hair looks after what he did. Oh well at least he got razor burn from the dull razors they hand out.

But also I might add that he wasn't in the turtle suit when he went to court, so even if they took his mugshot before he was given inmate clothes, I think we can assume he isn't on suicide watch or considered by the jail to be suicidal.

Once they rate them as a suicide risk, I think they make them wear that green thing at all times, including for court appearances. Until of course, they reach the point where they're allowed to wear a hand delivered suit or other street clothes!

I keep seeing talk about the gun and why he would keep the gun. To me, the gun was probably his trophy/reminder of the crime. His power play that he had been waiting years to commit. He didn’t take anything that we know of from the home. I believe he saw the gun as a representation of how he gained the control he had been seeking for so long. He probably thought about ditching it but could not do it because it was his way of reliving it. You don’t drive 5 hours without planning this for a while.

Also, he seems pretty cheap so I think he didn’t want to have to throw it out. MOO

I agree about money trouble being underneath a lot of break ups, but this was temporary tho. It’s a temporary sacrifice while he was finishing school.
I think he was probably, boring ,controlling , anti- social and Cheap. The opposite of her.
Not only did he make her pay back 1500K He even charged interest.
And wasnt it some crazy interest rate too?
it was, I think 18% if she did not pay him- I though it was what he would owe on a credit card if it was not paid IMO

It was: Required repayment to McKee: $1,281.59 with 23%
interest. (cannot find it in MSM- just podcasts that purport to quote the divorce document-)

I remember reading it was even higher than that! 22% is what I seem to recall, but I'll have to go back to see if I find it.

The more I think about it, I wonder if they did get the incident time from the smart watches. What would be the odds that both watches recorded an incident at the same time or close? Can police get info off a smart watch the same way they can off a phone?
I don't know if you have to analyze the data on a computer; however, you can estimate time of death using the smart watch because it monitors your blood pressure, sleep patterns, movements. All those things are going to cease at the time of death.

JMO.

Monique and Spencer were both wearing smart watches in that photo that someone posted, I hope they were both wearing them that night, it could tell the police a lot.

Adorable photo! I’m guessing that is Spencer and his younger sister, since Monique and Spencer’s kiddos were 4 yo girl, 1.5 yo boy.

WTTE-TV in Columbus just reported on their 10:00 PM newscast tonight that MM will appear before a judge by the end of this week and that it will likely be on Friday.

WTTE-TV also had a local criminal defense attorney who is not representing MM talking about the possibility of MM being released on bail while awaiting trial on the charges he's facing.

The criminal defense attorney speculated that should MM be released on bail, he could be allowed to live at his home in Illinois or he could be required to live in Franklin County while awaiting trial.
This would be extremely foolish. MM could still be a threat to others and himself. And he is a flight risk.

If they've got data from the victims' phones, that'll presumably include the data from whichever app they connected their smart watches to

Wouldn’t their smart watches recognize the time their heartbeat stopped?

I agree that MM should be held without bail due to nature of the crime that was committed and safety concerns for the general public.

And even if MM manages to make bail on a high bond, he wouldn't be able to practice medicine anywhere while awaiting trial.

His medical license is now restricted in Illinois as he has to be monitored when treating patients. I don't think any hospital or physician would risk their own license letting MM treat patients. And he couldn't prescribe any medications as his DEA license is likely restricted as well.

And he doesn't have a medical license in Ohio to practice medicine. I don't see how he could get an Ohio medical license from the Ohio Medical Board due to his current circumstances. The Ohio Medical Board would insist the circumstances he's currently in be completely resolved before they would even consider an Ohio medical license for him.

The photo in the article are of Spencer (age 4) and his younger sister Madeleine (age 1) when they were little.

My impression is that this photo is Spencer and his sister as children (probably why Spencer has Spencer’s chin 😂).

With Spencer and MO’s kids, the daughter is older and son is younger. OMO.
