The localleaks page is no more accurate than any other. They had the arrest dates wrong, twice. Where is the further evidence that the RRR website guy was involved in child pornography? Their statements about N's involvement are false. I haven't bothered to read it for a couple days. I'll just wait for the trial to hear what the truth is. <modsnip><snip>

What false statements were made about N? And, what is his involvement in your opinion or as validated.

Also, perhaps the child pornography was in relation to pictures of underage girls being found on the email of the who runs "Roll Red Roll" fansite for the football team, they ...

A final note: I'm not from Steubenville, never lived there, but it is sad to see it denigrated. Obviously the economy sucks, but I've always enjoyed going there for whatever reason; the people have always been overwhelmingly nice. <modsnip> But whatever, if you happen to go there, pick up some DiCarlo's Pizza or Steubenville Bakery Bread - best ever.

Just read a few of your posts and I'm curious. Do you think that the case was handled appropriately? Not berating you, just want to hear your view.

Listen again towards the beginning-his comments regarding the anal rape of the "dead" (drugged unconscious) girl. He also twittered that he anally raped her and she didnt react.

It was essentially the same statement he spoke on the video. imo. It isnt hard to find his tweets-I am not going to copy paste them here because of content.

It is amazing when a town supports the rapists. In one of these cases, two charged were basketball players and one was a son of a school board member.

Pretty much every site that mirrors the wretched video (local leaks included) is accompanied by the caption, "N describes his own participation in the sexual assault of 16 yo girl..." Then you read many of the comments where people say, "I couldn't watch more than a minute of it, it was so disgusting..." so the presumption is out there that he did as the caption described.

As I said earlier, I have stopped visiting the localleaks site, but someone linked it on twitter or somewhere tonight, and the first sentence still appears to say the boys were arrested on 8/28. Initially, they said the charges were filed on 8/11. Charges were filed on 8/22. How sloppy do you have to be to have a error in the first sentence of your blog that supposedly seeks to expose the truth? In regards to the RRR guy, if there was anything in those files worth pursuing for child porn the cops would have swarmed in on it, IMHO. Seems to be a common practice for anon groups to throw the "alleged" pedo/ child porn card to discredit someone. They have also claimed a SPD or Jeffco deputy "allegedly" supplied steroids to athletes, also unfounded. The SPOT Bar has long been a popular place in town, and with the economy, it's hard for anyone to stay in business. Is there some gambling going on there? Probably, same as any other similar establishment where people discuss sports. There are HS football games on the board in Vegas, why would we think people are not betting on them in their hometowns? Not a haven of crime protected by the good sheriff.

Someone asked if I felt the investigation had been fair to this point. Thinking about all of the sex crime cases I've followed in depth here at websleuths & otherwise: a victim with no memory, no DNA, I think the rape kit was inconclusive or negative, some uncooperative witnesses, eight days to arrest two suspects seems pretty legit. Two witnesses offered deals for testimony, and the one, as yet, unnamed person charged with unlawful images. And they have two to six years to bring further charges. As to whether the DA recused herself in a timely manner, IDK. She did it a few days after the boys were charged. There is a lot of serious crime in Steubenville, had she been busy on other cases or whatever to get the full rundown on the situation? Just a thought.

Those two boys weren't stars yet, either. The QB was on 4th string in 2011, I think R may have been at another school. It was anticipated they would do well, but they were typical 10th graders, just getting their shot. And weren't they arrested at football practice? The week of a highly anticipated scrimmage? If you're covering for the almighty program wouldn't you avoid making a spectacle by hauling two boys off Reno Field in handcuffs?

I am appalled & sorry for this girl and her family, and would like to see justice for what was done to her. I shudder to think of her having to face the swarm that will be waiting for her at the trial. I have no issue with staging peaceful protests if you feel the investigation was handled improperly. But I cannot support hacking people's privacy & the awful intimidation tactics being used on people with the least periphery connection to the kids with "alleged" involvement. Who decides where to draw the line & when?

I just noticed in the one link quoted a rape in Louisville, Ohio: Lville Ohio is a little over an hour away from Steubenville, however, the rape referenced in the link took place in Louisville, KY. Quite a bit further away.

Huh? First of all, MN states in the video that he saw them having anal sex with a girl who was "dead". And that "they" were taking pics. He should at the very least be an accessory to a crime for #1. witnessing it and #2. not reporting it. Who knows if he "participated" or not, but what kind of <modsnip> says that garbage on video? He did say "her pussy was dry" (excuse the language) when they asked him to rate "it" on a scale from 1-10, I believe he says "14, yeah she's a 14". How would he know? What a pig!

Everyone of those boys on the video and anyone else at the parties should be charged with accessory to a crime. Anyone who admitted to having pics or distributing pics should also be charged with child pornography and distributing child pornography regardless of whether they have been deleted or not. Not to mention the person who videoed her getting assaulted in the back of the car.....UGH....this case makes me SICK!

And the way that TM was posting lies on Twitter and retweeting sympathies to the girl he raped. Saying he hopes they figure out what happened. <Modsnip>

Abdalla also said he'd seen the most recent YouTube video of the former Steubenville High School student-athlete for the first time three days ago, but that prosecutors had been aware of the video earlier. IMO, where there is smoke, there is fire. When up to 2,000 concerned citizens show up on the Courthouse steps demanding transparency and equal Justice for an innocent rape victim/s. This isn't just a fire, but a conflagration, imo...

I am going to believe that the first paragraph above applies to the Sheriff. In case he is following here, he should shut up according to the AG.

So basically, because the sheriff is engaging the press in this matter, he simultaneously provides the defense with a means of having the charges against their clients dropped. Perhaps this was his intention?
