OK - 8 dead in fire, being investigated as homicide, Broken Arrow, Oct 27, 2022

I don't think the wife hiding from the world, or (not) using birth control, was her decision either.

I also wonder if any of the kids were born at home.

Deciding to pursue a career as an actor - something VERY few people are able to make a living doing - while having 8 mouths to feed and $130,000 screams selfishness and delusion, IMO.

That's quite bizarre, especially for a man in his 30s.

8 people living in a 980 sq.ft home 24/7 and hardly getting out would be almost unbearable. Homeschooling with crying babies?

Why did they not use birth control? I haven’t read that they had a religious affiliation that would have affected this decision. How could they feed them all?
This good-for-nothing man-child withdrew his son from kindergarten because, in his parents’ words, they were making the little boys “dance like girls.”

Any man who is so pathetically insecure in his own masculinity as to think that childish dancing with one’s classmates makes boys “girly” is HIGHLY likely, IMO, to be the same kind of man who insists on treating “his woman” like a brood mare, constantly impregnating her just so the world can see what a virile, manly man he is.

IMO there is NO way he would let his wife use birth control, because that would deprive him of the opportunity to show off his manliness—the wife’s mental health and the family’s shameless penury be damned.

IMO he should’ve done the world a favor and taken himself out years earlier—but instead he had to make one more public demonstration to the world to try to prove that he was a TRUE patriarch, by deciding to end the lives of all his dependents.

Six innocent children.
That's my comment.

We focus on one person whose life was taken too early by a monster. And these cases are horrific!
But this was SIX innocent children. I cant imagine what their daily lives were like over the short years that they lived. I don't think it was a blissful life and then one bad final day.
I won't sleep tonight.
SIX innocent children.

Not just a brood mare, but someone who is totally dependent on him, even though he's not taking care of them financially or in any other way either.

Like I said earlier, I wonder if she was mentally disabled in some way.

Odd that he wanted to be an actor. Seems very out of place with the rest of his personality. Actors have to put themselves out there and maybe sing or dance 'like a girl' if that is what the part requires.

bbm

I wonder if she was mentally disabled -- before or during the course of their relationship jmho.

Coercive control is domestic violence....

RIP, Ma'am, rest in peace with your children.

I agree with everything you stated.

It's highly possible that what he wanted wasn't to be an actor in the sense of wanting to perform and perfect a craft, but wanted the fame and adoration that well-known actors receive. He wanted a cult of personality around him, not to do Shakespeare. MOO.

MSM reporting has a neighbor referring to him as controlling and their finances were in desperation-type shape. That six-figure student loan debt, the 2020 BK … it’s certainly not an excuse, it’s an observation, but whoa, the rational stress of that … and the most valuable single asset class this family had was guns. I wonder how many thousands of families in America are in very similar financial circumstances tonight. … Such a sad loss, these kids. Link Broken Arrow man reflects on time living across from family found dead in burning home
In one article it states the value of the guns is around $2,000. The same article states their net worth was around $8,000 so I'm guessing they owned a vehicle worth $6,000?
Interesting that he had at least $2,000 worth of assets he could have sold in order to provide for the family. Very telling.

Perfectly said!

This story was linked in that thread about the horrible murder/suicide in Utah. Does anyone have any additional information about this?

The autopsy report says Brian and Brittney Nelson each suffered a gunshot wound to the head and lists the manner of death as unknown.
Four of the slain children had multiple gunshot wounds, with the eldest child, Brian Nelson II, suffering at least six.

Each child also suffered burns to their bodies, but the manner of death for each of the six is listed as homicide due to gunshot wounds.

Very tragic, regardless of who did what to whom.

What on earth did they do to these poor kids? Line them up for execution against a wall and spray them with gunfire like the Romanovs?

I don't believe in an afterlife, but if I did, I know where the one/s responsible for this would be ending up.

MOO
