I drive a truck like theirs .. A 1997 GMC 4 wheel drive , they came with the 5.7 liter vortec engine that year and are not easy on gas. Also the truck isnt really small but compared to the new huge trucks they make it might look that way. Not like a ford ranger or mazda small.
If I put in 30 in gas I would expect to be drining no more the 45 miles to and then the return trip on the highway. Local mountain roads.. I would cut it in half and say 45 both ways unless I was topping off which would explain the change part of the total.
I actualy joke and tell people it cost 7 dollars just to start it.
How much gas was in the truck when it was found?
You and me alike, Soul.
And the BBM, to which I have gotten three answers to:
A 'mostly full tank.' An 'approximate third' of a tank. And 'we didn't check that at the time. So no clue.'
Helpful, huh?
I tried to zoom in on the odometer in the initial photos- can you see that, Soul? Trying to estimate mileage, and you are good with vehicles.
