Regarding the cash left in the truck....

Whether it was 1000 dollars or 30,000 dollars.......why leave it because whoever would find the truck would not know that the cash was there so they would not know that the cash was missing. Make sense?

If it was a ruse to establish new ID's, they would need some money.

So maybe they got out voluntarily after meeting someone or stumbling across something and met with foul play (or accident). The perpetrator would not have necessarily gone back to the truck, perhaps wanted to avoid leaving forensic evidence anywhere near the vehicle-not necessarily knowing there was a large amout of cash in the vehicle.....

This case is very strange. Glad the poor dog lived.

Thank you for that link. This woman would be the one then that told LE and the FBI about the man they are searching for that lived with the Jamison's over the summer. The one they want to talk to.

She states they had answered an add in the paper and hired him on to help around the house and gave him room and board in return.
The man is a white supremacist , oh lord ! Told Sherilyn that they should die because of their Indian Heritage ! No wonder they want to talk to him.

I hope to god that is not what happened to them, wonder if that is why they had surv. video installed in their home. I hope someone knows who this man is and they can locate him. Maybe a drifter type if he was looking for room and board. Regardless if the man did not have a car he prob. has friends yikes!

This is just bizarre...wonder if this is why the family is being so quiet as to not draw attention to themselves, I just don't know.
I guess I am just floored that in this day and age that these type of people are still around and active...disgusting...sorry if I offended anyone but I can't comprehend that kind of belief.

So the last time they were seen was Oct. 8th and this woman says she talked to Sherilyn Sept 1, and Sherilyn and Bobby had fired this man prior to Sept 1 due to his comments. Sounds like Sherilyn was under alot of stress, just trying to make sense of this...any thoughts here ?

That's horrible, i hope they find the 🤬🤬🤬!

Wow, this is bizarre. If the post is reliable, there is a lot of new information, including that Sherilyn gave custody of her son to her ex-husband (which could explain why we haven't heard much about or from him), that the ex-roommate could be violent, and that Sherilyn was bipolar and planning to leave Bobby.

Do you think the bipolar illness is the source of her disability income?

Of course, there is no way to really judge the accuracy of the post. Even if the poster is telling the truth, it could be her own interpretation of the truth. But the part about the roommate would explain LE's interest.

But the roommate sounds like a drifter who couldn't even afford his own car (or maybe has no license/license suspended). It doesn't sound Sherilyn or Bobby would voluntarily meet him. So if he is involved in the disappearance, it would likely mean he ambushed them, right? I guess he could have accomplices who drove him, or he could have borrowed a car. He could have motive, and the timing would fit, if he was fired September 1.

I'd be shocked, though, if the roommate was behind this but didn't take the money......

Her bi-polar is most likely the reason she gets SSI or SSD (she could potentially get either one dependingly).

Did LE check the back of the pickup truck? One person could have done this alone (moving the truck) if they put a quad (atv), or dirtbike in the back as a getaway vehicle.

As far as TOPIX is concerned, it is not a reliable source of info, as posters can claim to be anyone on it. There is no way to really verify who they are. Some people will claim anything for attention.

Few more cents to add:

I just watched the interview with Connie Kokotan (Sherilynns's mother) her demeanor during the interview is way off for a mother missing her daughter and granddaughter.........

There was a girl on Topix that claimed to be a friend of Sherilynn's she said she was very depressed and recently diagnosed as bipolar. She also said Sherilynn signed over her rights to her son (Colton) to his father and that she was looking to leave Bobby.....she said the day she talked to her Sherilynn was really out of it, and this was not her typical behavior. She also said that Bobby was a wonderful husband and father.

Posters on Topix will say anything it's not concrete info to go on, unfortunately..

I don't know how it would work with an auto accident settlement but SSD will cut a person's check way down if they get a workman's comp settlement. They did that to my husband for years. He got a very small check for over 13 years, but part of that time was a big mistake on their part and they finally had to pay us a lump sum thanks to one of their workers who finally listened to us and checked it out better. I can definitely see how that could make a person despondent if the spouse was also disabled. A settlement will only go so far then having to try and live on a small check is the pits.
I also hope LE has checked out the family computers. They could have met up with a con man hoping to sell them something related to starting a homestead on land or having to do with alternative housing. There's lots of forums that deal with living off the grid.

I get SSD as well, and some of the workers i've dealt with have been horrible! I'm glad you were able to get everything straightened out with your husbands check. =)

I'm hoping LE checked the computers too! Word was that they were going to look at land that day, they had to get that info from somewhere and it was LE who said it so i believe em'.

IMO I think that this girl knows the family. I would not take her word for gospel but she had a lot more knowledge about this family including personal details than someone that is just out there for the attention. She is also the woman who gave the FBI information about the live in help. So I think a lot of what she has to say could be valid. I think that it would be foolish of us to totally disregard her. She also lived in Oklahoma City the same time that Sherilyn did, and are very close in age. I also received an e-mail from a friend stating that Bobby's father has been in a nursing home since August, I guess that would be why the LE did not think that he had any involvement. I have Bobby's birthday if that would help with the Astros.

If i were her and a friend of the family i would be making public pleas to media and whomever to try and get this case some attention so we can find out what happened =(

Thank you mysticrose! I would also like to see a chart done as I feel it would help make some sense of this.

Interestingly, we have a new member who posted tonight about her father's unsolved murder in May of this year. He was killed in the neighboring county of Le Flore...His name was Joe Neff. There have been a couple of other unsolved murders over there as well...one woman was dragged into the woods and her body seen by a plane overhead. Here is an article that discusses both murders:

Thanks for posting that video Dream. And wow, the story that follows, a man killed a woman and her 4 children. Oh, allegedly. It's deserted up there. I'm sticking with they either a) wanted to disappear, or b), the truck was left there. But why not leave the dog outside? What a mystery. I hope something is found soon. Why isn't there more outcry from the family? I take it that they didn't work.....girl's school? Did she go to one or is that still a mystery? I can't keep up with all the cases...they start to blend together.

Thanks, all, for the continuing interest. There's nothing in either of our statewide OK newspapers again this morning, surprise surprise. Not saying it's so, but the surmise of the typical Oklahoman on this one is probably that they wanted to disappear. I think many of us here can relate to that possibility---sad to say so.

I think if the hinky factors about the missing family itself are weighed against the hinky factors of their disappearance, it's about even, though tending toward indicating a voluntary disappearance. Regarding the hinky circumstances: money left in vehicle; dog left in vehicle; personal possessions left in vehicle; lawsuit and restraining order against family member. Regarding the family itself: all of the above, plus time-share travel, no jobs, desire for property in isolated area, family/friends did not report them missing.

In one of the previous article links it mentioned she attended Kindergarten at a school where they lived.
I wish there was more outcry for this family as well, maybe then it would put pressure on LE so that more would be done.

As for the dog, it's an interesting question, why leave the dog in the car? If someone moved the car intentionally why not just let the dog loose?
It's as if the family got out the car (intending to get back in shortly after) and just never returned to the car for whatever reason. I would think they met with foul play. We don't know if the money was hidden in the truck somewhere or in plain view. Perhaps the perp panicked and didn't even notice money in haste. Or if his goal was personal against the family maybe he couldn't be bothered about the money..

I can't see this being a voluntary disappearance at all. You'd think if a family of three, or anyone really, were to disappear voluntarily and start a new life they'd need all the money they could get as "start-up money." By all accounts these people were not millionaires - it would be beyond reason to leave a sum as large as $30,000 behind. Also, why would they leave their beloved little dog in the truck to starve and dehydrate to death (a horrible way to go)? If they were disappearing voluntarily they would either take the dog with them or at the very least let it run loose. It would be nonsensical to lock it in the truck.

If this were a murder-suicide, how could their bodies not have been found by now? How far up into the woods could they possibly have walked, especially if only to die on purpose? It also makes no sense.

I'm thinking this poor family definitely met with foul play, and whoever killed them had no idea the money was in the truck (the killer(s) is probably kicking himself right now, wishing he had checked the truck for money/valuables, now knowing he left behind a multi-thousand dollar loot) OR the killer(s) was incredibly wealthy and a sum of $30,000 would mean nothing to them, which seems pretty unlikely. There are very few people on this planet who would knowingly leave that much money behind, especially these days.

Maybe this was a thrill kill of some kind. Rape/murder of mother and/or daughter and father was just collateral damage. I've never been to Oklahoma, but my mother lives in a very rural part of New England, and I know some sketchy things happen in those rural areas. In her town there are tons of burglaries, last year two people were beaten to death on their front lawn (still unsolved), and my mother has come home and found evidence that someone had been in her house a couple of times, although nothing was taken. Heck, just a few days ago she found one of her goats decapitated, which I found spooky and strange. And I know on visits during holidays I've taken walks on those lonely dirt roads and gotten strange, creepy vibes from passing vehicles (one time during a walk the same red truck passed me four times - I got so frightened I ran back to my mother's house, cutting through the woods instead of staying on the road). All I know is that I live in New York City, and I would feel safer walking down the street in Harlem or the Bronx at 3am than I would in the middle of the night in my mother's area - and it's not critters I'd be afraid of.

Hoping this family is found safe, but it's not looking likely.

These hills are Oklahoma badlands, and they've been housing a host of outlaws since before statehood. Something very well could have happened to the family.

Still, this family was, evidently, able to travel at will (to time-shares) and to live without the constraints of jobs (neither parent worked), and to carry a significant amount of cash (as was found in the vehicle, however much that was), and I don't think these things should be discounted.

If it was an involuntary disappearnce, though, I'd bet on something like "encountered and were shot by poachers" as being more likely than planned robbery and murder.
