SHULTER, Oklahoma – Five people were arrested, including a juvenile, in business break-in and shooting that left one person wounded near Schulter in Okmulgee County.

Okmulgee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim about 2 p.m. Saturday at A&A Auto Salvage in the 21000 block of South 236 Road.

The business owner told deputies he had interrupted six individuals who were in the process of burglarizing his business. One of the alleged burglars, 27-year-old Robert Skinner, was shot.

The other five fled the area but were later arrested. Tommy Frair, 20; Amanda Lee, 25; David Slack, 24; and Eric Skinner, 32 were booked into the Okmulgee County Jail.

Article from 2012 - I'm not sure how many salvage yards there are in Okmulgee, but this happened at one of them.
Maybe the 4 were in the same peer group as these, or at least one of them? There’s probably only one high school.

The river, Deep fork appears to be very muddy. I wonder if they were put in the river north of where they were located at the bridge.
It is. I was raised there. The Deep Fork water is extremely muddy and the areas around it are mostly swampy with lots of vegetation. Good place to hide someone/something in a hurry.

Staying at a girlfriends maybe?.

Alex's fb says he worked at Okmulgee cemetery, but I don't know if that's current, and I read one of them was a roofer, but that's speculation on my part because I can't remember where I saw it.
MOO
I did look on LinkedIn and there is a Mark with the same last name + town. He's listed as an EMS Instructor, but no photo or way to know 100% that its the same guy.

IMO this will end up being the four men and being foul play. I still am going with my previous theory that something happened at that second salvage yard - perhaps they were there for nefarious purposes and got caught. Though they are four seemingly fit and able-bodied men, they would still not be a match for a gun, for instance. Or if there was more than one perp.

IMO they were probably killed and taken from the area in a vehicle. Their bikes got disposed of elsewhere. One or more individuals drove them to this bridge under the cover of night and dumped them in this river. Since no one was really searching this area, they could have been in this river since night 1. All my speculation of course.
Going with your first idea --- they were doing something nefarious and got caught. I don't think it would be the salvage yard owners/workers that would kill them and then dump them. Why would they? They could call the cops (like what was done in the link posted last night) and charges could be brought.

IMHO whoever is responsible for the men going missing is going to be gang/drug related.

Maybe the bikes would have made less noise than a car would.
But how many parts could they really haul off with them, even if they had some sort of trailer?

Catalytic Converters are commonly stolen from junk yards, and they can be anywhere from 13in to 45in. depending on make and model of car. Without knowing how big their trailer actually was, I cant wrap my head around any idea that they were planning to use the trailer to actually haul off parts because in my minds eye (and this purely speculation and guessing on my part), their trailer looks something like this:

Im editing my post: According to my son who is a mechanic, they could have easily stolen a $1-2K worth of parts in a trailer like that, because of how much they are getting for scrap.

The Sun, so the info is crap, but it does have pics of all four guys and an overhead picture of the bridge that I hadn't seen before.

Since I was raised in Okmulgee, I'm very familiar with that area. Can I just say this - those men covered a lot of area on their bikes that night. The distance from Okmulgee to Schulter alone is 13 miles - so 26 miles round trip. That's not including the other areas they covered that night.

I’m still unclear on whether the bikes were fact. Did they all ride their bikes to the house that they left from? Or did that house have 4 bikes that were available for all 4 to use? Did none of them own a car? Or did they ride bikes to a location where they got into a vehicle? Because I’m really doubting they rode 26 miles on their bikes, or even 13.

I’m wondering about that too. And family members/neighbors/associates are staying quiet. Other than Mike’s wife - I haven’t seen anyone else that has been interviewed (at least in msm)?

Same. Truth is stranger than fiction at times, but I just can't imagine four men taking off from Okmulgee after dark to ride bikes down to Schulter and back especially after riding all over Okmulgee first. Something isn't adding up here.

At first, I thought they took their bikes to a vehicle they had squirreled away, because maybe they didn't want their significant others to know what they were up to by putting miles on a family car. It could have been for some "innocent" reason like a night on the town in Tulsa.
Now, all that seems unlikely.
